Logical stop, please stop! Just when I know you can’t get any better at this you up and prove me wrong, constantly. What an outstanding DEEP analysis. I’m not one of the haters on Shottenheimer, I’m 100% backing him, any coach who has been in the NFL for 27 years and is just now getting a chance to become head coach at 51 years of age has a chip on his shoulder and definitely something to prove. I’m like you Logical if Jeanty is there at 12 we grab him, that’s a no brainer. If he’s not we get a big WR to compliment Lamb and then with our second pick take Hampton or the next best available back. RB class is deep this year once you go beyond that generational RB Jeanty. You put a lot of work in what you do here for us and it’s down right criminal that you don’t have a million subscribers by now. I mention your channel in every Cowboys blog I visit. You’re one of the best on the internet. Keep up the good work and thank you.
Wow! Always appreciate you brother. We always find a way to think similarly about things bro! If Jeanty is there game is over. If hes not get a receiver to help lamb. I was against this at first. But that has to be a priority at this point. Appreciate you bro.
I love it. Man, you blow my socks off on this one for sure. I have to give Schottenheimer 3 years to build this team. Dak is a bridge, a good one, but still a bridge to the championship team we have been waiting for for 30 years. As others commented earlier, an offensive line, and defense are needed. I will leave any comments out here about our GM. There isn't enough room.
Dude we need to talk. Been trying to drill these points home since first indicated he was serious candidate. Not my first choice but after pondering ..... Recognized that Schotty was as uniquely qualified as anyone who's ever been hired in the league. Not just his experience but his upbringing by his dad in particular makes his experience exponentially greater. Which so many are sleeping on. BTW Haven't missed a televised down of Cowboys football since 1978. Not that I didn't see games before that. Just too young to focus on all of it before that. Thanks
I wasn’t completely high on Shotty but not as low as most with his hiring. I wanted someone with experience & who is just going to light a fire. Didn’t take the Dion talk seriously & didn’t think Moore would come back. 30yrs now that trophy has been in a strange location & it’s time she comes home. Like what I just watched as always. Cheers!!
What matters is getting those wins because and improving the talent we got right now. The Eagles are playing in their 2nd Super Bowl in 3 years and Washington has made a major leap past us. We lost out on Barkley and Henry and now we are playing major catch up. Our offensive line especially Guyton our tackle was continuously been beaten. What matters right now is getting back to the playoffs. Right now it's rebuilding back through the draft and getting good free agents. Because right now the Chiefs are playing in their 5th Super Bowl in 6 years. Take away the "ref ball" and they find a way to win those close games. You want to be playing in the Super Bowl, you better find a way to win close games and we haven't done that this season.
@redmustangredmustang Great great points!!! The good teams win close games. A lot of times it comes down to close ball games. If you can't win those close games it only means that we don't have clutch players. We need dogs. Hopefully, we can get some in the draft! Appreciate you, bro.
Hopefully we can get Jeanty. Remember this line had Dowdle rush for 100 yards four straight games. He had a thousand yards this season. Give jeanty that performance with those same guys and Jeanty will break records.
@garywinters2282 But remember before Emmitt came no one knew who that offensive line was. It took a legendary back to bring out the best in them. I think Jeanty is that kind of back.
I think the offense will improve, but I’m more concerned about the defense. Our defense was horrible the last 2 years. 2022 was the last time our Cowboys had a solid defense all season long.
The defense did get better as the season went on. Especially our pressure defense. Injuries derailed us big time. I think had we been healthy our defense would have been a lot better. If you look at the last half of the season as they got healthier they were clearly a better defense. Appreciate you bro
@@thelogicalcowboyYes, that’s why I said “all season long”. I did see the improvements later in the season. But it’s a new year now. We might lose Osa, Trevon won’t be ready early due to injury. Jourdan Lewis might be gone. We have a new defensive coordinator, and it could take time for the defense to gel to another scheme.
I was a huge fan of the doomsday defense coupled with that great O-line and Calvin Hill. I have always been a big believer in run the ball and stop the run. Had Dallas been able to stop the run even 2023……. I do fear for Dak and his injury rendering him immobile and not being able to drive the ball. These types of injuries to QB tend to make the ball flutter towards the end of the trajectory. That being said a triangular offensive passing attack via a more pure West Coast approach could be favorable, coupled with a Jeanty, Skattabo 1-2 punch! Thunder and Lightening. Reminds me of Miami back in the day! Get some o linemen and D tackles in free agency and a big inside backer and stop the run. Matter of fact Dallas needs a 4-3 Dome patrol like linebacking corp.. Tell Jerry to sit down and shut up and get out of the way! I LOVED YOUR PRESENTATION! Got me fired up when I had lost a great deal of faith. So THANK YOU BRO! With some hard nosed football, I could get behind the Cowboys and NFL again!
@smilingpossum7644 First of all Great post! Secondly, I'm with you. Dak's been injury-prone these last few years. That's my only scare. Because if he goes down again. I don't care who we get in the draft. That's our season again. So Because of this, I hope that he's not going to play in a way that favors his leg. If he does that's our season as well. Again bro appreciate you for stopping by.
I agree. Draft him in 26 and have him sit for a year or two. If we don't make the championship or the Superbowl within the next two seasons. A change is going to be needed.

I hope you're right. I suspect he'll be a good coach but this team has severe problems. The two biggest problems this team has (1) the last two drafts have left this team talent thin, and (2) we're paying mega elite money to Dak, who is at best an above average QB who's looking like he now might be an immobile QB, which is a very bad thing with our O Line. We need some killer drafts, get improved production from our dud picks the last two years, and Schotty needs to wring as much production as possible out of what looks like a fading and injury prone Dak. Regardless of the coach, that is too many problems and I think we're going to suck for a while.
Uhh yeah but you need a Great O-LINE and Stud Running Back. Which we don't currently have. So we'll see what they do in the draft and free agency (LOL)....
"I believe Jones is establishing culture" Lmao, he didn't even like his own hire. Stephen had to talk him into it. Could this work out well? Sure. Does Jerry deserve any credit? No.
Disliking a hire doesn't mean I oppose the potential outcomes. He didn't have to choose Brian; he could have selected Mike Zimmer. Zimmer has said that he would have taken the job if offered. Jerry Jones picked Brian instead because, although it wasn't the most popular choice, he recognized it was necessary for the organization's direction. I oftentimes times give Jerry a hard time. Which is justified most of the time. But whenever he does things the right way I have no problem giving him his props. Appreciate you brother!
@thelogicalcowboy other option: He was the only coach who said yes. It's not like they were doing tons of interviews, and I can't see coaches looking for a HC job to think the Cowboys were a good option because of the baggage. I think we need to hold off on optimism until we see results. I still want the fanbase chanting "SELL THE TEAM" directly to Jerry every game.
@callmecoach53 Lol I agree. We do need to be a little skeptical. Especially when dealing with the Cowboys. That is for sure what we both can agree on. Enjoy the rest of your night bro.
I'm skeptical. Historically NFL games have been won on offense two ways. One was like the Cowboys of the early 90's (and Dak's early years when the Cowboys had SB caliber talent). Kind of vanilla in scheme, but my guy beats your guy was the gist of it and since that is impossible to do for every player on every down, you have those back shoulder throws to Irvin, that are impossible to cover in man, sprinkled in with straight up simply lining up and imposing your will on the other guy and by the 4th quarter those 3 yard runs are 8 yard runs. The second is with scheme and the NFL offenses have become scheme on steroids and today's schemes requires more than a great QB and running back because they are all kind of what you are saying where they don't have a single style and win or lose with it. They are all composites of philosophies and change with personnel and opponent. I'm not positive that attempting to apply a philosophy that is based on what you like or is predicated by what you want is going to compete in the playoffs with teams that defensively take what you do best away. These great teams take what the defense gives and don't really attempt to play against a stacked defense. If you are running on 1st down into an 8 man front, it won't matter how great the players are. I wasted time typing all of that to say that Dak has never proven he can go head to head with the best defenses when the chips are down. In part of the video Ernie says something like "we do what Dan Fouts likes or is best at." Dak isn't that good at making something out of nothing even if he is getting what he likes. He has been great at tearing up way less talented defenses, but hasn't ever simply willed the Boys to a win in a close game against a better team. I hope I'm wrong but I suspect Jerry knows the coach wasn't the issue.
@EnvirotekCleaningSystems I definitely agree that we should all be skeptical. My team has broken my heart time and time again lol. Off-season moves are giving me hope tho. Always appreciate you brother.
If Pollard didn't get hurt in the 49ers game in the playoffs, Dallas was going to win that game. It was after Pollard got hurt that they couldn't run the ball.
