Love listening to these Elvis stories while at work. Helps the day go by better. Thanks and ⚡ TCB
Very cool!!!! Thanks for watching wetblanket!!!!
ELVIS and Barbara had a great friendship.
1955-1956 ELVIS met and dated June Juanico and she and ELVIS flew to Miami
to pickup his Lincoln Continental Mark V.
It was so hard for ELVIS to keep a regular
girlfriend, his life was changing every day.
He and JUNE JUANICO were seriously
dating, there was many career commitments
he had to constantly fulfill. The separation
put a strain on their relationship. It sadly
ended just at the time he was buying Graceland in 1957. Not long after he met
Anita Wood. Barbara Heard, June Juanico
and Anita Wood , all sweet , beautiful and
southern girls, that Gladys loved. Gladys
was always hoping for ELVIS to settle down,
marry and give her a grandson, before she
died.
Your video showed the sweet relationships
ELViS had in his young year's. He was always a southern gentleman. One of the
many things his mother taught him, to
always be respectful to everyone.
Thanks, for sharing the Sweet memories.

Thank you nenabunena I really appreciate that!
I always liked the stories on Barbara and the same goes for her interviews. Like you said Rich...she is a very sweet lady. I loved the pictures at the end; had not seen all of them before. I remember Barbara saying in one of her interviews that a friend of her made the vest for her for Elvis for Christmas! I can't imagine how happy Barbara was seeing that Elvis liked it enough to wear it on the Ed Sullivan show! So special!!! Thank you!!! 🎶❤️🎶👍🥰
Thank you as always Barb for your sweet comment! I really enjoyed learning about her.

Wonder if Barbara was alittle jealous with Natalie Wood & her giving those shirts to Elvis & Elvis making a big thing about making sure he was seen photographed wearing them. It may not have been an accident Barbara leaving them behind in Memphis. Lol. "Love hath no fury as a woman scorned."
Just googled Wikipedia's "Hound Dog (song)". Very interesting info from "Elvis's version". One of Elvis's 1st songs recorded with RCA in NY. Elvis was such a perfectionist that he did 30 takes of Hound Dog- much to the frustration of the band members. And he chose take #28 as the final record. Even at a young age, Elvis had vision & an ear for what he wanted to put out there. People think alot of guys like Tom Parker controlled Elvis, but it was a very young Elvis who called the shots in the studio & produced the sound we take for granted now yet back then was so revolutionary. Very cool Barbara got to listen to Hound Dog 1st - with Elvis there watching her reaction. How proud he must have been when it became such a big hit.
