[SFM] Walking With Dinosaurs Inspired Animation - Downfall Of The Colossus - Part 1
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 24 сен 2023
- This is the first part of a 3 part series about the epic battle that took place 94 500 000 years ago. Once a year a large group of Mapusaurus gathers on Argentinosaurus nesting grounds to take down the largest land animal to ever walk the earth.
All models are taken either from SFM/Garry's mod workshops or other model packs. Mapusaurus is played by Walking With Dinosaurs Giganotosaurus published by Draco @dracowarrioranimations1239. Pterosaurus is played by Quetzalcoatlus and Argentinosaurus - by Puertosaurus(with slightly changed anatomy), both of which were ported from The Isle. The prehistoric bird and the dromeosaurid were ported from Saurian.
Animal sounds are taken from videos by @StudioMod and from Jurassic World Evolution 2 aswell as other paleo-media.
Narration is done by @jonwhitefm from fiverr

Love it!
Thanks! You are one of the channels that inspired me to make these!
OMG
Oh my gosh. You're the guy who made that spinofarus animation :D
Whoever created this Land of Giants version of the Giganotosaurus (I know it's now classified as the Mapusaurus) for SFM deserves an Oscar.
What you talking about. Giganotosaurus isn't valid anymore?
@djoniamman5318 No, what they mean is that Giganotosaurus DIDN'T live at the same time Argentinosaurus did.
Giganotosaurus lived alongside Andesaurus and an unnamed megasauropod that we know from just a set of footprints.
Mapusaurus, on the other hand, DID live alongside Argentinosaurus. Therefore, we can definitely call the Giganotosaurus in Chased By Dinosaurs Mapusaurus since it's teally meant to be a Mapusaurus and not a Giganotosaurus.
Giganotosaurus is still valid, it just didn't live at the same time Argentinosaurus existed.
Edit: Someone corrected me about the megasauropod, we actually know it from fossil materials not footprints, my bad.

All credit goes to Dracowarrior animations
@@kaijuar2003 The unnamed megasauropod you mentioned is known from fossil material. It just hasn't been thoroughly studied and named yet, as it was only found in 2021.
The Giganotosaurus in Chased by Dinosaurs is more of a chimera really (as are quite a few WW creatures), combining the latter's larger size with Mapusaurus's coexistence with Argentinosaurus and hypothetical pack-hunting/mobbing behavior based on a multi-specimen bonebed.
No dude, I mean Land of Giants doc Giganotosaurus is now actually classified as Mapusaurus because it didn't live with Argentinosaurus. @@djoniamman5318
This video shows us how small channels like this, alone can create such realistic short-meter series. Cool! keep on.
I love that you used the accurate dino sounds from Studio's channel, and the WWD allosaurus sounds as well for the mapusaurus. This whole video is better than 85% of most dinosaur documentaries today!
I can’t believe how awesome this looks! I could legit see this as a documentary or a mini series.
I love how you included the realistic filming! You can’t film everything at once and so close, so you have the move the camera from a safe distance
Glad someone noticed that :)
Its cool how small docu-series like these have an audience. Can't wait to see the rest.
This was an awesome animation, it really feels like an actual episode of WWD and the even the animation of the cg models makes it more closer to the original series's style and I hope to see more like this in the future.
I showed this to my paleontologist professor if this was possible
I was escorted out by campus security.
Then he doesn't know his job!
but you do@@kleiner3469
i agree
This video, how you can see, made with diligence and turned out very well. Even Nat Geo WILD himself can envy!
You have got be the one of the most underrated animators. I’ve seen on this app, this is super hign quality. It’s hard to believe this is Sfm
This is awesome! I just watched your Time of the Titans remake and it's great to see that you're doing your own stories too. Looking forward to seeing how the rest of the narrative plays out!
Sir you did a fantastic job along with your whole crew, talented narrator. I am simply blown away at what you could do without a multimillion dollar budget like the BBC.
My nephew whose 5 saw this and immediately thought this was Walking With Dinosaurs. So few of us could ever take a skill to the next level like this masterpiece. You deserve a billion views for this and are the rare type of artist that can bring our imaginations to life!
0:15 The Level of Satisfaction after seeing an Accurate 🇦🇷saurus skull is immense 😎✌️
What we saw was a weird skull back in those days
Putting my mark here as a fan before this thing blows up and gets millions of views
oh I sure hope it does...
Same here!!
Love the colors and detail of the models. Love seeing dinosaurs being occasionally social but only tolerating each other. Though wouldn't the teeth and postorbital fenestrae not be that visible?
The model was made by DracoWarrior Animations, though the design is based upon BBC's Giganotosaurus
Fantastic Mapusaurus animation! Really transported me back to watching the Chased by Dinosaurs specials.
0:59 "No, not you!" "Bloody Pterasaurs..."
This feels so much like the lystrosaurus slaughter in Walking with Monsters, I swear
Glad I'm not the only one who picked up on the similarities
@@ToaOfFusion like a mirror
It was heavily inspired by that scene :)
I really love the chased by dinosaurs mapu/giga design, even if it doesn't really resemble any know carcharodontosaur
Damn this look like it was made in sfm instead of cgi, how far we come is awsome
This is beautifully done and well written thank you for posting it. I can’t wait for Part 2!!!!
What a blast from the past. Even with the rather shrink-wrapped heads this is one of my favourite looks for a theropod
This is beautifully made. You need way more than less than 300 subscribers.
Love the mapusaurus design. Wished you would do the earlier stage when the biggest terrestrial predator the world has ever seen roamed, Giganotosaurus
Oh wow, really cool to see my reconstructed Dreadnoughtus skeleton in a video such as this.
Thank you very much for these marvelous models!
There is no way that animation like this exists and only gets like 400 views!
You learn something new every day!
“Inspired by *‘Walking With Dinosaurs’* ”?
*Nice*
I dont often comment on videos but must state as someone who got into making SFM Videos recently this is amazing , i had to re watch this twice the animation is super smooth, great job
this is jus amazing. Considering this is a small channel, this is a masterpiece.
This is very impressive work. If it weren't for the repeating ground textures, i would have been convinced this was a BBC short. The animation is practically on par with the BBC Walking With Dinosaurs series.
Yes we deserve it ...
An accurate Dino Documentary 🤗💕🇮🇳
“Among them, are the dinosaurs” -shows a pterosaur
:P
I like the Jurassic World Giganotosaurus sounds
This is…
*…FUCKING PHENOMENAL!!*
Can’t wait for the next parts!
Well done. Amazing work.
Gods this is so so so good. Youve done an amazing job. Truly amazing. I dont know what else to say other then good job!
I would love to see more😊
extremely underrated
very good interesting dinosaurs!!
A criticism I have I'd that the animals featured seem to be somewhat shrink-wrapped, and that some textures on aerial shots are obviously repeated, but these are very small nitpicks at what looks like a magnificent series. Well done, and may fortune take you wondrous places.
I didn't need to watch it all the way to the end to know I'd like and subscribe... though I did, several times over!
This is beautiful, with an attention to detail I've seen in only one other animator's work. It's a treat to watch, and it's a pity it's only three or so minutes long... though I'm so glad there are two more parts to come.
This was super well done especially impressive with SFM to
This looks AMAZING
The animation quality is almost identical to the real ones. It's incredible
Well, you just got a new sub.
This is incredible!!
Something this clip got right, that even a lot of more modern paleo accurate attempts often overlook is the landscape. Its actually more accurate not having grass in the Mesozoic period. I distantly heard in a documentary that grass didn't evolve yet until after but its very common to still see grass fields in reconstructions, so this video showing just tress and a rocky ground, is good with the landscape accuracy for the time.
Can’t wait for the next part!
Wow, How beautiful the world is! This place is really nice. Yeah, There are big mountains, There are big meadows, There are so many forests and There are beautiful trees. 2:55 They are sauropods, The biggest animals ever to walk the earth. By the way, What kind of sauropod is that? 🙂👍👌🌎🏞️🌳🌳🦖🦕🦕🦕🤔
Come on man... don't leave us on such a cliffhanger!
This is so freaking cool
This was incredible
This is awesome!
Been really sick for a while and was having a shitty night, this lifted up my mood quite a bit, looks beautiful and the narration is excellent as well, subbed!
Glad to hear it helped you :)
you deserve more subscribers, keep up this good work please
I like this video more than Minecraft!
So W animation pls pls next carcharodontosaurus or tyrannotitan animation
this is amazing and for a single person this is phenomenal work , you got my sub big dog
THIS IS SICK
This channel deserve more views and subscribers. this is amazing!!!
I NEED THIS SO MUCH!!!
Absolutely awesome animation!
Amazing!
Not that, was one hell of a first part! Cant wait to see the rest of it, always did love the carnivores of South America, and your doing it fantastic justice! I feel like im back Walking with Dinosaurs :)
Now this is epic
😱😱😱😱😱😱I NEED MORE! I REALLY NEED MORE!!!😱😱😱😱😱😱
cool!!!!!!!! i like it!!!
Amazing
просто афигенно, удачи тебе)
I hope you have a future in getting to do this for bigger documentary projects
I'm so glad I've stumbled upon this channel ;W;
Saurian archeroraptor model spotted.
No hate but I think mapusaurus should have some lvl of ostrich like feathers as an earlier relative concavonator did, in fact I’d love to see em added to this module with some brighter color added to the crests with a lil bit of soft tissue added to the face(it’s a lil bit shrink wrapped)
Hope my lil bit of info helps
Please make a part two this was absolutely fantastic!!
Working on it!
Dat jiggle is top notch
How did you achieve them?
Mapus are only 5 tons?!?!
The downfall of the colossus
We need the part 2
Amazing work! Yeah, the models aren't the most accurate or fitting for this setting, but I understand that you have to work with what you can get. I'm assuming the Acheroraptor and Quetzalcoatlus would be an unenlagiine and basal azhdarchoid of some sort, like relatives of Buitreraptor and Alanqa (who lived a bit earlier in the lower Cenomanian).
Please be a part 2😊
The mapu looks like giga from walking with dinosaurs special
Cause it is
Render this in Blender, have proper realistic backgrounds and higher detailed textures, maybe slow down the pacing and add dramatic score, reframe a few shots and you'll have yourself something even more solid.
It's crazy what fans can do these days. Even this SFM would have been groundbreaking 30 years ago.
After I'm done with Downfall Of The Colossus, I'm probably gonna start making documentaries in Blender
Came here from someone on Twitter praising this video.
Can you send the link?
I’m glad you did your research and in the video you put it the maposaurs only hunted in gangs not packs big difference I’m tired of people thinking that theropod hunt in packs know the height in gangs just like their relatives crocodilians
I am trying to make this documentary as accurate as possible. Being a paleonerd really helps
There’s nothing wrong being a paleonerd
There are some clowns out there that think that they hunt in packs now they don’t they don’t have the pack metallity like wolves or lions are killer, whales, or etc. if you look at their relatives crocodilians and even birds, they hunt as a team don’t get me wrong, but after the fees that they go their separate ways, even other reptiles, such as Komodo dragons they don’t do it. It doesn’t mean that they’re dumb it’s just that they’re just different then mammals
I’m sorry but you spelled theropods wrong.

That's a Puertasaurus from The Isle
What was that raptor thing from 2:20-2:27?
Hey the black small raptor us from saurian!
Can you tell me did Giganotosaurus lived alongside with Argentinosaurus?
No it did not
Giganotosaur?
There is any prequel of Walking with dinosaur
Nigel say it’s Giganotosaurus
Narrator say it’s mapusaurus
Is it same design of skin.
Where is Nigel marven?
Hey man this looks incredible. I'm a composer so if you'd ever like to do a collaboration I'd love to work with you. Ben Bartlett's work on the WWD series is what inspired me to get into film music
Sounds splendid! Can you give me your email?
Who is the narrator?
A dude I found on fiverr. I prefer real human labour over ai voices
@@kleiner3469 W, I use AI because it's basically free for me. I still like the video and can't wait for future parts.

Or Alamosaurus size
And Rajasaurus hunting please
So mean!!! It had its' mouth open for food & u just stood there not giving him food! It's not like he can get his own, he's a captive shoebill. Again how mean!!!
I beg your pardon
This comment was for another video. My cell is old & does the craziest unbelievable things. So sorry 😔. It was about a shoebill begging for food w/mouth open & it's owner purposely not giving food & taking video, laughing at the reaction of his bird when he denied it food.... Appalling right! AGAIN SO SORRY
Is giganotossaurus?
It clearly said in video it mapusaurus
Bull s..t
Where do I find the models and the app you use?
I use Source FilmMaker. The models are taken from SFM/G-mod's workshops and model packs
@@kleiner3469 is it available on iOS?
