Thanks a lot . I have q . Is TTI ( time to interact ) calculated from the time that browser gets the first byte ? And if the first interaction is after TTI does still fid be calculated ?
@@patrickkettner8398 Hi Patrick, I meant delaying Javascript execution. Now that I rechecked the settings, "Load Javascript deferred" is still enabled while "delay Javascript execution" has been disabled. Disabling this results in bad core web vital scores but the overall user experience is better at a practical level. Enabling delayed Javascript execution takes the core web vital scores over 90 but the user experience feels off.
@@Hasitha_Chandrasekara gotcha! Are you referring to WP-Rocket settings? If so, often there isn't an all or nothing answer. You need to individually tweak files and settings in order to get the best possible performance. Are the bad scores you are looking at lab scores or field scores? Field scores take ~30 days to update after a change, and lab data is helpful but ultimately meaningless (field data is the only data that Search will ever see/use for ranking input). At the end of the day, Web Vitals are one of hundreds of input to search, and the point is just to make sure the people using your content are having the best possible experience. Whatever checkboxes give you that result is whats most important, and will surely give you the best results.
@@patrickkettner8398 Yes! I was talking about WP Rocket settings and it’s lab data. The website is just 4 months old. I just experimented with the settings and decided to go with what’s best for a user on a real device instead of going after higher core web vitals. On another note, google usually indexes my content within a few hours after a manual request but the indexing has stopped since about 8 days. Sorry if this is off topic or not entirely related. Any feedback on this?
@@Hasitha_Chandrasekara gotcha! you can also add those attributes to individual files. Sadly, i'm not able to comment on the other issue here, but I would highly suggest checking out the Search Console to see if there are any indexing errors, as well as the Search's Office Hours (they happen on this channel every few weeks). Best of luck!!
Unfortunately the display of page speed and lighthouse is not correct, at least it differs from the core vitals. Page speed and lighthouse are both >95% but core vitals are not. Therefore it is bad to test.
Hi Dominik! The data sources are the same (for the field data, lab data is generated at request time). I regularly work with both the Core Vitals and Lighthouse teams, and am not 100% sure that I understand what you are saying. The "green" area on Pagespeed Insights? I mention it in a previous episode, bu these signals aren't boolean - nothing is switched "on" if you reach 75%, or 95% for that matter. They are a goal - that if you hit, you are in good shape. Its one of hundreds of signals that Search could look to in order to get people the most relevant information, in the best possible format. If I am misunderstanding your point, please do let me know!
@@patrickkettner8398 My problem is when i test my website with Lighthouse or page speed i have > 95 on mobile and desktop. but now when i look in webmaster tools i have mobile failed on core vitals. So it's hard for me to optimize the points that are supposed to be slow according to webmaster tools, because they are not slow in lighthouse or page speed.
Hey Dominik, basically for your speed metrics, both PageSpeed and Lighthouse use the same lab data from Google. But G-PageSpeed uses the combo of lab and filed data to come up with those numbers ,so its quite normal if you see different results :-)

I’ve noticed that deferring JavaScript usually improves core web vital scores but overall deteriorates user experience.
Hi Hasitha! Do you mean deferring the use of javascript, or loading javascript via `defer` ?
