You are the very wealthy bugger that signs these, and you deserve every penny! Thanks for all the great music since I discovered Tull back in 79 when I played my Dad's Aqualung one rainy afternoon. I have been hooked ever since. 😀👍
What we need are epic concerts on blu-ray, dvd or CD. Complete concerts on video from eras where there is a gap: 1975, 1976, 1989, 1991, etc... But in any case, he sells and everyone is free to buy or not. No one is forced to.
Tull is creative in every aspect whether lyrically, through song composition, variety of musical types over the years, and the actual artwork of the numerous albums.
Is he talking about his prodigious ... gut? I am worried about his health, he is really getting to be a Fat Man. I wonder if he does that song anymore? I love it.
Ian, please! Give us a deluxe, extended, detailed, remastered by Steve Wilson version of Living in the past! Make it glorious! I'll be the first to buy it! That album needs a box set treatment!
I bought 'This Was' when it came out .. because of the artwork cover. Saw you play three times. All great shows. I teach music on the side and my students know and love Jethro Tull.
Actually, if I had enough money, I wouldn't mind buying them. But I'm saving it for what's to come: the concert in Barcelona, the Broadsword and the Beast, etc...
I just looked up the conversion for British pound to USD. This whole box as shown above will set you back...drum roll...1800 pounds or $2,191...that's a collectable ! Thanks Ian...
Are there going to be updates for Zealot Gene and the next album, and the next, next, next albums (hopefully) ? OK, still not going to get it ... can't afford it ... and don't have the room to frame and display all of that cool art.
But Alas: To Be The Play Books in original and unused are still available after all these years. 1st book about Tull indeed. Copyright 1978 not 1973. Any reply enquiries??
He keeps 🍶ing that JT cash🐄 for every last drop!🤣 I still enjoy listening to a lot of Jethro Tull albums and music, but Ian Anderson continues to disappoint me by throwing all ethics in the bin for a few $$ more! In fact 'A Few Dollars More' would have been a good title for the recent album and tour.
Anything for a buck. Maybe Ian is jealous of Elon and Jeff and wants to start his own space program? It would be nice if some of the profits went to Burton Silverman ( artist of the Aqualung album ) without whom I would have never stopped to look at or bought my first Jethro Tull album.
Well, I hate to say it, but I think a little cynicism is warranted. Upwards of $2,000 for the set? I mean, in my opinion Jethro Tull was the best band of all time during their prime. And I'll add, I consider Ian Anderson to be the single greatest all-around musical genius EVER. But having said that, I just can't quite understand the pricing of this (admittedly very nice ) art set. My guess is that the vast majority of lifelong Tull fans can't even come close to affording this. So... sad to say, but these will likely wind up in the hands of collectors/speculators, NOT fans.
@@denniskelley8974 I have to agree with you, except that many fans are collectors and vice-versa. But yeah, it would kinda suck to just end up in speculators' hands when many Tull aficionados would love to have a set. But who's to say many of them/us have not done well financially and will jump at the chance to own them? I guess ya gotta look at it and ask, "What is a price that reflects their specialness and rarity while being neither "cheap" nor exorbitant?". I think its cool they're out there for someone to enjoy, but I wouldn't know how to display/enjoy them if Idid shell out the cash.
I never thought Ian would stoop to the level of putting his own signature on other people's artworks, yet here we are. This is not "art", this is merchandise. I hope the poor sods buying this rubbish realise that Ian is laughing all the way to the bank with their money.

What a package. And this isn’t bad either. Ian is too funny!

Yeah sure, Ian is skinny as a rail.

The Passion Play one would look beautiful on the wall in a silver frame.
My Great Great Grandfather played m e the albums Thick as a Brick and Heavy Horses. I was hooked.
High Quality Paper ... woo-wee

The box itself is the most cool thing.

You are camping this week to Israel. We are welcome. and God bless you.
There's 2 I want framed on my wall.
I can't imagine there are many Tull fans who could afford, or even want this 'product'.
Ian never stops peddling this stuff to line his pockets...ridiculous.
@@stephenbrown7545 He increasingly reminds me of a cross between pompous Captain Mainwaring and greedy Fagin, counting every penny!
Well bully for you
Tight bastard, just after more money whilst half the world goes hungry 😢 No time for the old has been.
@@stephenbrown7545 One of his songs is "Commercial Traveller"😜

Forget about #BoredApe´s #NFT
This #real #art would make me #happy.
The ultimate Box set without any Music . . that reminds me of Jimmy Pages over rated over priced LZ Box sets made for Vinyl fans
.....HOW MUCH IS IT?
He keeps 🍶ing that JT cash🐄 for every last drop!🤣

Commercial Traveller (one of the songs from "Tooo Old...")
whatever. getting greedy
Not quite right though..only half an album cover

Rude. If you don’t want it don’t buy it. I think it is incredibly innovative and interesting.

It's rude to suck money like this from loyal fans who have paid hundreds already for the music.
Why would I want to clutter-up my humble abode with this crap?
Wow, a lot of cynics in here. As a big fan, I think its really cool.
