Yup the run is surprisingly short, and getting shorter all the time. We're looking at 32 or 31 mins at the moment

Hi! That is a program called Livesplit. You can find it here: livesplit.org/. It has links to download it and guides on how to use it. Some games even have auto-splitters enabled so it does the splits for you.
