As a Long Time seasoned Hollywood director I must say everyone hit their marks perfectly on cue. Especially Pupo Stella coming out of the cage and right up to the camera! And Paws. Well she's a pro. Can always count on the cat.

By the looks of this video, it seems these kids truly wanted a dog and are overjoyed. It seems the parents planned responsibly for the much wanted puppy too. You're right about Far too many people giving a Christmas, Birthday, etc. gift of a living animal on a whim, without considering the responsibilities involved first. Any pet is a lifelong responsibility and a loving family member and Never a temporary "toy" to be gotten rid of when it's no longer a novelty.
I rewatched this video - it seems like an older family home movie memory that was posted. I'll bet this dog has been a very well loved dog in a happy forever home! ❤️🐶❤️

They say a huge number of pets end up in the humane society because they are given as Christmas or birthday gifts and after they get big and the novelty wears off they aren’t wanted anymore. Many rescues do not allow people to adopt if they plan to give the animal as a present.

Totally agree and when the cameraman says "Merry Christmas " none of them even acknowledge him or even seem thankful. Scared for that puppy actually.

Every year at Christmas time hundreds. maybe even thousands of animals are wrapped in boxes or crates as a surprise gift for a child. They are let out to all this chaos and noise, chased, handled by everyone, not knowing where they are. And then a few months later, the animal is brought back to the shelter or sold to yet another home for yet another child. And sometimes, the poor animal is given to a really small child who knows nothing about pets and abuses the animal. The animal strikes back and then the animal is put down. OR, if there is a Buba in the house, the animal is pulled out to the back yard and shot. I could just scream. But instead, I am crying for the animal and because of all the ignorance in this world.
I do so agree...I can't find words for it. It just hurts. 😔
Sounds sportspoilish, but unfortunately, it is often true. Here in Germany people find Christmas-gift-dogs abandoned alongside highways and tied to trees in parks. How horrible!! But thank goodness, I also know quite a few people who have taken good care of their "Christmas gift" all the time. Animals are not like toys or like a pair of socks. They are living beings who are able to feel pain, suffering and also joy, just like people. I wonder if people will ever understand that.

Yes, there are the majority of people who have wonderful hearts, but so many are so bad and they will always be here. The three evils of this planet that are responsible for the death of billions of people and animals are....Religion, Culture, and Ignorance, and they are never going away.
This dog looks like it will fit right in this family. Be happy for this dog, and pray they will keep it as a member of the family for life. Yes there are 4 million dogs in shelters in the US alone, and many never even get the chance to be adopted and are put down in kill shelters. There are many people who should never gotten a pet, not even a hamster or children for that matter....
