- Today is our first day in Norway! Starting us off we have the most beautiful sail in to Alesund!
Once on dry land we explore Alesund in foot! Checking out the water ways, the shops and grabbing a bite to eat too! Then we hop on a bus up to the Aksla look out point to see the most stunning views possible of this beautiful town.
Tonight we head into Animators palette for dinner! With a very special guest … Mickey mouse!
We end the night with a dream come true …. Ladies and gentlemen I present to you , THE NORTHERN LIGHTS!

What a way to start the port days, the sail in was just amazing, I was on deck 10 right at the front of the ship for the sail in. You made it to the viewing point, I decided not to and just sat by the water for a few hours. We were so so lucky with the weather, I don't think anyone excepted that
We nipped up to deck 10! But it was busy and abit high for my mum haha! We got the bus up to the lookout and loved it !! I wish we could do this cruise all over again!

Looked a fantastic day ashore, but the northern lights! You're so lucky. I saw a vague green glow in the sky once, but to see them properly would be at the top of my bucket list if I ever made one!

We were so lucky with the weather this trip.
The sail in to Alesund was so relaxing.
We went up to the look out point and really loved it. Some of our gang did Kayaking and they Kayaked right up to the ship that was something cool to do in Alesund too.
Those truffle pursettes were so nice in Animators Pallate.
The Northern Lights were so magical! It was on my bucket list to see them but we didnt think we would it was a real highlight of the trip. xx
I loved Alesund! And that weather ! And Norway in general! I have some friends who kayaked too! They loved it ! But those northern lights were just the best! To be able to see them and on the magic was just perfect! I must say we were incredibly lucky and I never thought it would happen but … pixie dust must have been sprinkling above us!
Wow the view is stunning we had rain when we were in Oslo
I think most of Norway gets rain most of the year haha we were just very lucky! Thanks for watching !!!

Love your vlogs we are doing Norwegian fjords next summer on the dream. Do they try and let you know in advance if they think northern lights will appear?
Thanks for watching!!! They kinda mentioned it ! I cruise director should mention if it’s a possibility at the shows but the biggest help was tracking it online and the Facebook groups ! And people onboard!
Do you mind if i ask what month you took this trip? We are going next august and wondered if we may see the lights too
Hey! It was sept ! We were incredibly lucky! There are websites that track the likelihood that I looked at ! But i believe it’s rather rare to see them in sept too! I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you!
