I love the Japanese voice actors' takes on the characters! I think they also tend to be more expressive. There are many times when i thought that Paimon is better expressed in JP. Also, the difference in the character expression is also quite prominent at the dinner scene during this year's Lantern Rite Festival event, especially in Xiao. I basically switched to the JP dub because of Xiao's JP VA so 😍 I don't regret that decision at all! All the voice lines done in Japanese were awesome!

Of course the JP is the best. Because that's what the devs original design for dialogue lines. They design the dialogue using JP voice as the base. You can clearly see from paimon "how cute" dialogue lines. Only JP va for paimon that could deliver that line perfectly because that dialogue is a reference from kaguya-sama manga and anime. The JP va for paimon is the same va who voiced kaguya shinomiya with her well-known "o kawaii koto" lines.
These differences are the reason why I use JP voice even though I am Korean. I can't understand most speech sounds, but still provides the most realistic and fitting voice.
To be honest I love the Japanese version of all the characters in this game. Unfortunately the English version only reminds me of the controversy of English voice actors.😔
