More features in the nyxi/binbok joycon but better joysticks on the hori from what I hear. I have the nxyi/binbok and there’s no stick drift but the sticks do have their own quite large deadzone before registering input. May just be mine but it’s not a huge issue and I’ve used nothing else since getting them for handheld mode.
@@PuddingTaToRnAtOr Mine have huge deadzone too and they're very cheap feeling so if they are to break ever (which I'm assuming won't be long) I will get Hori Split Pad Compacts.
My Dpad down button only works if you press really, really hard on mine. I'm over it. 8bitdo is my next controller because their Dpad is one of the best.
I wonder if they are good out of the box with first person shooters. The joycons suck for first person shooters. So much so, that I dont play any on my switch.
Slightly more ergonomic. The d pad is sturdier and more responsive. With the Athena's I heard that the whole d pad moves when pressing a single direction.Different style lights. Newer.
@@128KB Bro.. Can you check out Iine Elite Plus Joypad.. I just bought it this month.. They really look exactly the same with this Nyxi Hyperion.. But the one I bought have Splatoon Theme.. Purple on left and Green on right of the Joypad.. It look really cool tho..
@@alejandrodelangel i bought them and after 6 months the right stick started doing a weird thing. when i move it to the far left (so minimum X value) it registers the input like i was going back to the center (so x=0), it sometimes does in other directions too, just when you move the stick to its full range of motion, otherwise it works fine. it's not even drift, i don't know how to fix this and Nyxi doesn't reply to the emails
I got the black nyxi joycons..I wanted the transparent but afraid they looked easily slippery when my hands sweat

I love my Gengar split pad compacts, but I feel I jumped the gun and should have waited for these.
Tough call, I'd say the HORI build quality is better
@@128KB great to hear from someone who's tested both. I'll accept that and be happy with what I've got ☺️. Plus the Gengar design is still so great.

@@Jeno_Sinatra Just wish they had motion and rumble.
I got the white ones, just bummed Steam won't recognize them as gamepads. was hoping to use them for PC as well as my switch.
I got these ordered to replace the original nintendo ones. I hate how tiny those are so im hoping these feel more comfortable
Update?
I actually got the clear ones, and they're a bit slick in the hands, no texture on the back 🤷♂️
:'(
Was super happy with these but now I'm dead disappointed. The right analog stick has started creaking like crazy!
Im waiting for a future version that fixes that before going for it.
@@juanpecan7089 actually I believe it has been fixed, I've had a new version for around 2 months now and have had no problem
@@FlamesOverdrive hi bro! How do you know wich is the new versión?
@@mistergallox4491 Well, I was sent a transparent version which has had a quality upgrade since the last pair. That's the only difference lol
@@FlamesOverdrivedo you use binnok or nyxi?
I need a case for the transparent nixy hyperion but I can't find one in your size. Do you recommend any? (just for the control)
buy the case off nyxi page
does it work with the iPad like original Joycons?
clear ones are out of stock everywhere
DUDE WHAT IS THAT ON TANNERS STOMACH
I am interested! I love my Joycons, but I want something new, does this support the Amiibo?
No, sadly
Who use amiibo any more
Can it wake up switch?
How it the general grip on the transparent ones compared to the original black or white ones? Are they sloppy when your hands are sweaty?
A bit
No texture on the back
@@X862go thanks. I prefer the griping texture of the solid colors then
Yeah agreed, these are more slippy on the back

is that proof that nyxi products are from the same factory as gamersir's?
How do you feel about the nyxi Hyperion overall? Any stick drift or dead zones?
I'll do a review when I get time! No drift but there's potential they will over time, some deadzone yeah
They don't have Hall effect joysticks...
@@calebrabion The Hyperion Pro do use Hall effect. Got some in transit currently
My Y button gets stuck when you fully press it, and just got it yesterday too...not sure what to do.
Fixed! It was sticky stuff stuck on the button sides but due to its transparent material, wasn't visible lol
Glad you fixed it! Any other issues just contact them to return them/replace them
How to recharge them? They recharge on switch?

What game?
What's difference between the Hyperion and the Athena?
Slightly more ergonomic. The d pad is sturdier and more responsive. With the Athena's I heard that the whole d pad moves when pressing a single direction.Different style lights. Newer.
Athena doesn't have hall effect sticks according gto their site. Hyperion does.
Do they work on pc?
no
They just feel and sound so cheap.
a lot more comfortable than the oem joycons though, played a couple hours today on them while playing a game with my kid, no issues.
hall effect?
Hyperions do, Athenas do not according to the web site.
Nintendo makes FPS games look stiff
binbook or nyxi hyperion?
Hyperion is great, depends on which design you like best though they're basically identical
