I don't think you've yet grasped that no one cares about the scores on panel shows and celebrity quizzes, even though guests may pretend to every now and again, to humorous effect. They're really always about the interplay between the guests. It's all about the conversation, wit, banter and humour. :) QI took it even further by not bothering to explain the scoring system. All we know is that you manage to avoid a negative score, at the end, you've done well... somehow. :)
Cat Deeley was a children TV presenter, called SM:TV lives SM for Saturday Morning, who she presenter with Ant and Dec, who host about most things on ITV, they came together on a children drama called Biker Grove.
Yeah, this is the first one where the comedy really kicks off. A good few more episodes will come close to this level, but I think the original Goth Detectives in 2006, with David and Rob sulking and petulant by the end, remains the pinnacle of BFQ.
The Ricky Gervais clip wasn’t from Life is Short, it’s from EXTRAS which you need to watch!
The IT crowd moment was written as an homage to this Guy Gomer incident on live news. I don't know if you were aware, by the Moss and the German moment where he was about to be eaten by a cannibal was a real story as well bizzarely.
i'm confused. When do I get to talk about my bra?
I remember reading that awkward boy george moment was because he had said something about matt lucas not being a good role model for gay people so the animosity from walliams was genuine there
Love Love Love Noel Fielding Fantastic addition to every quiz episode he featured on Watch The Mighty Boosh with Noel and Extras with Ricky Gervais
Robbie over Liam any day. Robbie has the most #1 album of a solo artist in the Uk now having more than Elvis who held the record previously. You guys need to check him out more. Especially his TV interviews. Funny guy.
Razorlight's finest moment was the single "Somewhere else," well worth a listen
If you ever wonder why Jonathan Ross pops up in so many TV shows it's because he owns the production company that makes them. Amazing what a career you can have by casting yourself so often.
24:45 ooooh so this is that episode of American Dad where Steve is singing (like that) from.. I never knew
Goth Detectives iconic
My condolences to any women backstage at this recording.
David Walliams hamming up the teachers pet/serious guy role was the perfect foil for them to play against.
52:47 The Beeb have a clip of this on YT, I won't risk linking it for obvious reasons.
The best comment on the clip though I think with nearly 10k upvotes _'He's such a normal, down to earth, honest bloke. No wonder the BBC didn't hire him!'_ 🤣🤣🤣 So True!
Really enjoyed watching this again with you guys. I watch Big Fat Quiz every year. Usually finishing off the Christmas Bailey’s at the same time ❤
Did I miss the movie where Luke Skywalker spent six years at boarding school learning about the force? :D
I do remember being sad when I discovered James Potter had turned to the dark side tho....
The Take That reunion tour happened on my 40th Birthday party. The only people who turned up to my organised party in a local club was the people who couldn't get tickets for Take That.
Later in the night I had to give a speech and I said " Even I am thinking that I should have tried harder to get those Take That tickets."...
I feel sorry for my Mom and My Granny. My mom paid £200 for the use of the club and the DJ and My Granny put £200 behind the bar for drinks... There was still a good number of us in there about 60 or 70 but the club can handle 200. So it looked emptier than it was.
We still had a great time. It was 80s themed so we were all dressed in 80s clothes. I found a dark pink trousers and jacket combo, like Miami Vice, and I wore a yellow smiley face t-shirt. Lot's of the girls were wearing large shoulder pads and even larger hair. My Mom, bless her, had tracked down some of my old school friends that I had not seen in 25 years so it wasn't as bad as I say...
Cool Runnings is a great film
Absolutely Loved this! Thanks so much! ❤ Much Love!
It's rubbish scripted panel show comedy from 2006 ?? Nobody's watching this 😂 so why would they react to it ?
Cool runnings was one of my favourite movies as a kid. It's hilarious.
I used to love watching all these around new years
Was hoping to get through blackadder this weekend with you guys
I've seen this big fat quiz so many times that I know all of the answers, sometimes I'll put it on around people and make them think I'm really smart with an amazing memory of the year 2006
I love that when Spence heard the question about the face transplant: "What happened to her old face?"
He didn't hear the question as "What damaged her old face, now needing the transplant?"
He just said, "I dunno, probably just threw it away." 😂😂
Bro, that had me rolling 😂😂
It was a very KP answer
Guys might like Never Mind the Buzzcocks
The reason Jonathan Ross is on every year is because his production company produces the show 😉 it’s called Hot Sauce
I just heard about you considering not doing any more... I swear these just get funnier. I kinda want to tell you some things that happen in future episodes so you will keep watching but I can't as it will spoil things...
Please don't stop watching these only get better and better.
In the later episodes there's some America guests and they are funny guests you will know.
This is not a spoiler as it's openly on the wiki. But Richard Ayoade becomes a regular contestant. I wont say anything else.
Keep with it.
Friends almost never made it past the first season. You've seen 3 episodes... Give it time...
"Stay safe, eat cake, survive!" New merch coming up...
2012 is the best Big Fat Quiz Of The Year! Hilarious
I don't want to spoil too much but I am safe in saying that in future shows there's other well known (here and in America, probably most of the world) distinguished, British actors with an iconic voice that will do some of the Autobiography readings and maybe in some other new quiz rounds where readings are needed...
I won't say more than that, but it's something to look forward to.
2006-2012 was the peak of big fat quiz
Please keep going on these- I love it!!!
cant believe you edited out the goth detectives part out.
my 40th birthday was on the weekend of the Take That reunion... I had to stand and make a speech in an empty club with about 20 people and I said "I fookin wish I was at that Take That reunion"... I'm not a fan of Take That but I bet that the reunion show was better than my party.
Swimming the English channel is not something anyone can do. It's 25 miles (22 at the closest points) in sea water that is about 5C in temperature.
One or two miles a hour is what you can expect from a good swimmer. And yes there was support boats around him to give him food and water. Not even the best swimmer on the planet could go for that long without some fluid intake...
I am going to just ride the spoiler line but in future episodes David is back and on another team is Eddie Izzard who once ran 30 marathons in 30 days or something like that. And he says that what he did was easy compared to swimming the channel.
Running 25 miles every day for 30 days is easy compared to swimming the channel...
Just think about that.
Swimming the channel is very very tough. And not something to be taken lightly.
If there's ever any doubt as to how challenging it would be, remember that at the evacuation of Dunkirk, there were 338000 troops stranded on the wrong side of the channel as the Germans approached. Some were desperate enough to try and swim for it. There are no recorded cases of any soldier swimming all the way. Even at the very narrowest point, and with support, it's an extraordinary acheivement to make it across.
I don't know if you guys have done a video on The Fat Electrician's " concrete battleship." If you have, would you be kind enough to post the link for me. Thank you, muches. You gents rock
George Galloway, Would you like me to be the cat.
The goth detectives
Please continue to 2008 thats the Sean Lock year. Funniest year because of what he does
Your reaction to Robbie Williams is simply because of your like of oasis and learned that Liam wanted to fight him. Nothing more, nothing less
They were mates and hung around together for a while after he left Take That. Noel was one of the first to hear some of his solo songs and was quietly impressed, though I'm sure he'd deny it now.
I was a massive Oasis fan at the time, and it's why I decided to give Robbie a proper listen, because I absolutely detested Take That.
And yes, I add to the chorus saying you should give Robbie a try. Although given you've never seen either X-Men or Lord Of The Rings, should I be surprised you're culturally closed off?
Robbie is a guilty pleasure of mine. Love his music.
No he's a prick
@@OneTrueScotsman You can't compare them that way, it's apples and oranges. Yes, Robbie is pop, but very good pop, heavily influenced by rock and ironically aware of all the trappings that come with both.
& were talking 20 + years ago.Ronnie nice enough fella but like all famous popstars made his money through media mainstream bullshit.I loved smiths, elbow, long pigs, shed 7,ash,stereophonics,manic street preachers etc etc.also loved beatles, stones,Fleetwood mac, zeppelin, dylan.also 80's-eurythmics,human league, dexys midnight runners,Prince etc.also was into 70's rappers grandmaster flash, sugarhill gang .don't preach to others about your own personal tastes in music or life in general.that's how religious wars start
You know you're getting old when it takes you 5mins to work out how old you were several years ago 😂 ...and then get it wrong 😅
You defo should continue. There are some funny ones coming up
"THIS PALE IMITATION OF GUY KEEPS C○CKING IT UP!!"😡👊🏻👏👏😂😂😂💜
"We're into real music"
Says the Oasis fans 🤣🤣
I was down today but that was beautiful irony and has cheered me up. 😊
Most successful UK band of the 90s. Enjoy being the minority
@@ajorngjdonaydbr Oh, I do. Oasis may be a terrible band (albeit worryingly successful) but they do help to sieve the people that clearly are impressed by the bare minimum of effort.
Prove your point further by telling me how successful the Spice Girls were, would you?
@@JustinSawyer-ji5wm "Look at me I'm so alternative and cool. I like indie bands that nobody has even heard of. I like songs that haven't even been recorded yet. I'm so special and superior".
You literally should've grown out of this clichéd little phase when you were about 12 bruh. Grow up.
Aside from the wine squad, it's difficult to think of anything more pretentious than a music snob.
Music taste is completely subjective and involuntary.
You either like what you hear or you don't.
To judge someone for this and then decide to voice this judgement in a RUclips comment is pathetic and the actions of a rather sad individual.
I only drink wine nowadays instead of e's & coke washed down with stella😵💀but yes your correct.each to there own.I could dance to happy Monday's but unsurprisingly not blur.yet 1 of my favourite like a lot of people was radiohead.bit more intellectually musical than take that
I can't wait for you to get to some really good guests... By no means have the ones you've seen been bad. But these are still only early. There's been 3 before... I know we only get 1 a year but only 3 episodes? It's still trying to work it out. It gets so much better.
Cool 'shame 'Runnings...I cannot believe it!
You should have watched all films with John Candy in it
You haven't seen Cool Runnings?!!😱😡😪😑😂😂😂💜
The best Big Fat Quiz not starring Sean Lock.
Wait. Sean Lock is on one of them? Off to the search button!
@@MrNathansdad He was in a few of them. Sean's honest opinion on kid actors and Katy Perry, are 2 of my favourite moments.
@@MrNathansdad. He's in 2007 one
How old is this reaction, I know it goes on patreon first
you got to do the mighty boosh reaction..esp the second series
crazy how half of the celebs mentioned are dead now
It is some great entertainment.
Wait for Sean lock
2017 best one
Yes! My favourite episode. God bless the Goths!
How is "legalised gay marriage" in anyway close to winning Eurovision.....?🤔🤦🏻♂️😂😂💜
Dick Cheney is so scary he made a guy apologize for getting in the way of his bullet. Unforgettable moment.
it is a pub quiz. There is a limit to how crazy it is vs how quizzy. And this period is, how crazy it can get. Noel Fieldding and either Russel Brand or Richard Ayoade is a good bet for a good episode. .
Also nevermind selling youtube, this predates Jimmy Carr tax jokes.
You’re not missing out with Razorlight. One of the most boring of the boring mid-2000s British indie bands
Stop being raz-ist 😁
@@mehere4684 🤣 fair point, I take it all back
Yeh only goldentouchbut arctic monkeys, killers, radiohead, massive attack, white stripes,Richard Ashcroft etc moved onto better things
Blackadder 4x4???? 😢
you should make a rewiev of the movie water with michael caine ... one of the funniest movies ever
If you like Michael caine funnys, check out dirty rotten scoundrels with the wonderful Steve Martin before he just did films for the sake of it
oh i know that one and yes it is very funny but its a remale of an older movie with marlon brando and david niven from the 50ies or 60ies and even michael caine and steve martin are great in that movie the original one is still a bit better ;D
One Robbie Williams song that is different to the others and very good; Road To Mandalay.
Russell was clean at this stage, his true deviant nature just hadn't been made public yet and he hadn't completely gone down the RW grifter toilet hole yet
Congratuwelldone
I had forgotten how awful David Walliams was on this episode. Genuinely insufferable.
This was such a great episode!
This is honestly THE Big Fat Quiz, others are fine but this is a classic!
A former band mate once tried to tell me that Russel Brand stole Noels look, so I showed her this! She became a huge fan of Russel afterward. I love the episodes with Claudia Winkleman and David Mitchell!
Putin 4 PM !
i like robbie why the hate
What happened to Blackadder? S4/4,5,6.
Razorlight is real music. A lot to learn you still have.
Keep on going boys Russell & Noel will keep on coming up & they are a great double act
Best year so funny.
Please Watch absolutely fabulous and let them eat cake 🙏🏻😍
Razorlight are a great band, listen to a few songs, also if you do give up with big fat quiz, make the ones with Sean Lock in the last ones, they are brilliant 😊
Can't listen to Russell Brand, hes too mouthy for me, and thats before all the sexual assault accusations.
Check out Noel in mighty boosh.also Russell's stand up is wonderfully beautiful.ex smackhead who still is the little poor Dickensian boy he portrays.some love him some hate but his humour(then)was very observant.after 'sachsville'he was pushed aside but Ross got richer
2006 was the year i started highschool
the year youtube started
No, it started in 2005.
@@DavidZ4-gg3dm 2006 must of been the year i had my first channel then
I've seen US accounts created in late 2005, but I've never seen a UK account created earlier than early 2006.
@@RWL2012 im gutted i lost mine when it changed to google and i had to re-enter password that i couldnt remember on an old email address
first time react why the hate of robbie wiliams , do better
pointless lol watching scripted nonsense from 2006
