Hello IT Pros, If your SSD is not Crucial, you can use Macrium free cloning software. I leave the link for the video here: ruclips.net/video/Pl93_8ACKco/видео.html
Thank you very much for your time and assistance. I find myself in a bit of a challenging situation and would be grateful for your guidance. I’m planning to upgrade my storage by replacing my current 2x1TB SSDs, configured in a RAID 0 array, with newly purchased 2x4TB SSDs. Could you kindly guide me on the correct process to clone my existing SSDs and reconfigure the RAID 0 array for the new drives? I’ve also recently acquired an NVMe M.2 Dual-Bay Offline Duplicator, which I believe could be helpful in this upgrade. However, I’m unsure about the best way to use it. Could you advise whether I should complete the duplication process first or if it’s necessary to set up the RAID 0 array in the BIOS beforehand? Any insights you could provide on the ideal sequence of steps would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you. I was going to upgrade my laptop to a 2.5 ssd, but the battery overlapped where the ssd should go. So, I gotta do this now. Thanks for sharing the instructions
I do have a Kioxia 256GB m.2 with the SATA key, BUT it is a m.2 NVMe x2 as described by both the software (crystaldisk, toshiba app) and the data sheet. It is manufactured sometime in 2018 (laptop is from 2019)
uummm, I did mine different then you did. I had a main drive on a 250 g 2.5 ssd and wanted to have my new 1 tb nvme drive as the main. So installed the nvme and then cloned my main 2.5 onto the nvme drive, all seemed to go well , checked and made sure all my projects were safely on the nvme drive and it was . So then I formatted the old drive. So now my only problem is that I have all my hard drives show up correctly except now there two extra partitions that are 500g each. Now everything seems to be running fine I am just perplexed as to where these two drives came from?
So I'm having problems with mine. With 1hr and 40min left the software suddenly stopped and said turn off computer. When I put the new drive in the computer it would not boot. So I tried cloning it again. This time Acronis said it had to restart. When it did it locked at start screen and wouldn't reboot. So I put the new drive in again and it wouldn't boot again. I'm on my third time cloning and it's just stuck at process 5 of 7. Says copying and merging partions. Should not the new drive boot as soon as it's installed?
In my case i have only one mvme slot so i have cloned my original and put the new one in, do you know how to turn the old one into a external storage device (i have an enclosure for it to allow it to plug in via usb-c/a)

@@bbraat Hello, i added a link in the video description for SSDs that are not Crucial. You can use Macrium free software: ruclips.net/video/Pl93_8ACKco/видео.html Hope it helps Thanks for the comment!
The problem that I have is There are 6 running Acronis in the background. Is there a way for me to disable these or remove Acronis because I've already cloned my HDD to SSD now.
Hello, Since you have already cloned your hdd/sdd I’d uninstall Acronis. Unless you run backups with Acronis there is no need to keep it installed. Hope it helps Ty for the comment
Don't forget when discharging yourself, you need to leave the computer plugged into the power outlet with the mains power switch at the socket switched OFF; otherwise, you won't have a ground to discharge yourself on. Just be safe!
I swapped mine with an old one and I had to clone my old one to the new one but when I’ve put my new one in I got “repairing disk errors, this might take over an hour to complete” anyone got a fix ?

Can you use the crucial software with any ssd installation? Thank you🌞
Thanks, very helpful.

Hi, after 9 months, how is it with you? Did you solve the problem?
Never did work. Returned drive and got a Samsung then used Samsung software. Thank you for your concern.

Thank you for your reply.
Can you explain how to install OS to a NVME drive on a caddy from a Cloned image I made with this software? Thanks.
So, what if your ssd, once you clone the ssd, has a unallocated section section of say 500 gb, that is not adjacent to the boot partition (C: drive)?
This didn't work for me☹️
Will TPM (Encryption) be an issue for Dell Inspirion G3 15 3590?
It shouldn't, but if that's a concern you can suspend bitlocker on your machine and after a reboot it will be enabled again.
Hi, can i clone my sata to the new crucial nvme within the motherboard instead of using a m.2 usb adapter??

@imponish acronis true image, its for crucial branded m.2s I believe but you just need to have 1 installed
Thank you..
Thanks mate! Very helpful video 💯👍👍

nice 👍🏼
Great video; can I still use Acronis True Image for Crucial if my source SSD is Dell to Crucial SSD
Hello,
Yes, the source hard drive can be any other brand.
