Not true I work in a store that has 1000 pops on the wall we sell about 60 on a slow week which I think is pretty good, no? It’s like the beef jerky at the grocery store, it’s not for everyone but it definitely catches a lot of attention

The Marvel Legends team have recently said that Legends isnt going anywhere. They have product coming through 2026. You may think Reaction is trash but theyve released 1,500+ figures with no signs of stopping. Super7 makes their money there and with their vinyl figures in Japan. Theyve been there for 25 years and that market is huge.

I'm a gamer, Warhammer, star wars, Halo. And a big fan of mcfartlane's greedy,cash grabbing Warhammer line. The first time any company did a action figure dolly line of Warhammer. I know mcfartlane's greedy,cash grabbing way of crapping out things nobody wants is awful,but it's gotten better. He's been inventing a way of putting out multiple versions to test what the fan base will except with the platinum crap. A lot of the crap I don't appreciate, especially the older crap, but it's been getting much better. Especially better than the hascrap crap,💩
I still say that Funko Pops are like Tribbles. You only get one. Next thing you know, they've started multiplying on your shelves. Pretty soon, they've taken over your figures and you have a whole new wall in your home, made up of Funko Pops. LoL

I don't purchase newer toys from resale shops because most of that stock I can get online for cheaper or since I live right next to Oregon I just cross the boarder and pay no sales tax. I only hit up these type of shops for the vintage stuff but that can be pricey in its own way. 🤘 love the content
That is my go to Toy Vault. I don't think that wall of Pops ever changes, every local toy and comic shop I visit is buried in them. You should have paid the FYE a visit there, good for a laugh. $39.99 for a basic Classified figure, I'm dead serious.
I'd be all over a Pandora Pop... also back a few months ago when you were talking about 1/6... even if it was just a 2 up of Pandora, though a full fledged mixed media Pandora would be really awesome.
The POP wall is supreme! Seriously, I hate Funko Pops. I have a few Disney Afternoon pops, and a few others, but they're the most annoying junk you can buy. I love Marvel Legends, but Toy Biz 90s Marvels stuff always hits me a certain way. They're also super affordable Although the Spider Man animated stuff has been going up in value.

I have almost bought the Mandarin spawn several times in my adult life including the remaster from a few years back. that is a truely neat looking figure that is not spawn but spawn. I also loved the Cyber Spawn. hell. I had a lot of them as a kid. I Loved the Cape. but They get expensive fast.

The funko pops that are decent looking are the ones that don't look like funko pops. Those old Spawn figures are the shit!!! so much detail!!!! I have a bunch of those, yeah the articulation sucks but they look so good! even the most recent Mandarin Spawn figure looks really good.
Toy Vault was probably paying about 3K every month in rent. There’s your secondary market prices. Not sure with the current mall management. Pops? Killed it with their own form factor. And it isn’t exactly original. But it is a cheap and easy fix for IP fans.

Highly detailed, articulated figures have somehow managed to be too hardcore for that level of attention. In 10 years there will documentaries about Funko Pops the same way we've gotten documentaries on the Atari ET game and Beanie Babies.

I have a few. 2 I bought bc I wanted them (maisie from Jurassic park bc she’s going to be my daughters namesake and Marty McFly bc they didn’t have the neca figures at the time if I’m not mistaken) any others I have are gifts that I’m too polite to get rid of. Otherwise I don’t care for them at all. I’m friends with the manager at my closest GameStop and he’s always trying to sell me his pops and I’ve said many times that I don’t collect them or have interest in them. I’m big on McFarlane DC and occasionally black series and marvel legends. Anything else I probably don’t pick it up. (Yes I know neca has amazing stuff but I don’t have the space or money to keep up with multiple lines so I mostly stick to DC as it’s my favorite) Also YES TOY RESELLERS ALWAYS JACK UP THE PRICE!!! A local comic shop that resells toys around me is selling Ross figures that were $4.99 for $30

Speaking of Metal Gear, the Valaverse weapons work well with the McFarlane Snake figure. Warpath Eclipse's rifle is a nice color match for him.

We were offered the Disney vinyl toy license before they went with Funko Pops. Our VP turned it down because he said Funko Pops is a 6 month fad.
