well they used to hangout since the start Jungkook used to go to JYP to hangout with Mingyu that's how he became close to The8 and friends with other as well
Ben was so astounded that Jungkook called Seungkwan during Seungkwan's live and used Mingyu's account to post a lot of comments during the live. Yes, the reason the call cut off the live and Seungkwan feeling like he had to explain why was surprising. The live was chaotic but those who have followed Seventeen were probably pleased to see the interaction but not too surprised. Cha Eunwoo also called Seungkwan during the same live. Seungkwan had just come back from hiatus and they were checking in on him. Apparently, JK and Mingyu did the 3D challenge and Wonwoo filmed it. Eunwoo was with the three of them as well. As he wrapped up the live, Seungkwan noted it was 2:30 in the morning and jokingly told his friends to send him the address. As others have noted, Seventeen, Astro and Monsta X debuted around the same time and their dorms were nearby so the members of these three groups hung out and saw each other on music shows and festivals.
Mingyu and Seungkwan have known each other since 2012 (so nearly 13 years), attended the same high school, were in the same grade (class of 2016), and they did a lot of variety content together - they even have a hand symbol representing their friendship (boogyu boogyu). When they were guests on Jungwoo and Shownu's show, Nopogy (episodes 1 and 2), they talk about what they mean to each other, how close and supportive they are, and that they share the same sense of humor. Seungkwan's close group of 98z friends includes SinB and Umji of Viviz (also in GFriend) and these two attended the same high school and were in the same graduating class (2017) as Jungkook (SinB was also a Big Hit trainee). DK attended the same high school as Jungkook but graduated in 2016. SinB and the late Moonbin were childhood friends and Moonbin was Seungkwan's best friend and also a close friend and bandmate of Eunwoo's.
Given that Jungkook and Seungkwan have been seen giving each other a hug and interacting at an award show and share many mutual friends and acquaintances, it's not a stretch that Jungkook would have Seungkwan's phone number and would call him

The 97 liners friend group was made long ago. Maybe 2017 or 2018? The group members are jk, mingyu, the8, dk, cha eunwoo, nct jaehyun, got7 yugeom amd bambam. Jk and mingyu are besties since then!

JK and Mingyu definitely seem to have a real close and genuine friendship. JK even used one of his free days from the military to eat together with Mingyu and DK before they left to the US for their world tour
A lot of idols are friends with each other (which really makes fanwars even more stupid), but svt and bts have a special connection and respect bc of how similar their paths have been, from a small company and tough life to gradually overcoming it and eventually surprinsgly becoming one of the topdogs, and even though their music is incredibly different, they approach it with a similar set of values, which makes them really understand and empathize with eo on a different level than other groups

I’m only Army but I think it’s so cool when bts interact with other idols but the fanwars really ruin things sometimes and it’s so annoying like a lot of people love being negative but I hope bts continue to interact with their friends whether publicly or privately and ignore the losers.

I’ve been smiling so sheepishly watching this video. Even though SVT is my ult group, I still appreciate BTS’s artistry. Both groups are lightening in a bottle. I don’t care if the fandoms decide to kill each other, I just pray nothing ruins their friendship/bond.

Seventeen literally is friends of every groups. Everyone in the k-ent industry are their friend from boy/girl group, model, actors/actresses, MC, Comedian, Trot singer, Announcer, journalists, photographers and all. The members are known to be very kind and friendly to everyone, the social butterfly of K-pop.
But their most known friendships is between Seventeen ,Monsta-X and Astro, the 3 of groups been friends since trainees, debut around same time and support each other, that's why when Moonbin from Astro passed away, not only Astro members and their fans that were lost and mourn but also Seventeen Monsta-X and their fans since their fans are also very close.
I think I have a type 🤔 because both Woozi and Suga are my biases. They're so similar in personalities I love it and I do hope they get to collab together someday in the near future. 🤭🥰
Tbh those toxic fans from both fandoms can go hate among themselves but that doesn't change the fact btsvt are really good friends and colleagues and there are fans that live for their crumbs , and i think we all agree btsvt heals the world❤
This is why people trying to instigate fan wars between ARMY and Carats make no sense to me. The guys are friends. They openly support each other. So why shouldn't we follow their example?
Now, I admit that I don't really follow Seventeen - or any group other than BTS; but I still respect them. And I'll support their achievements. They are hard working artists. And, if they are friends with the BTS members, they are obviously good guys.
All fan wars do is insult the very artists they "claim" to support.
And it's not just ARMY and Carats. A lot of groups have members who are friends with each other; even from different companies. Or they are fans of other groups. Stray KIds, for example, have often been vocal about their admiration for BTS. Yet I have seen people try to start Fan wars between Stays and ARMY. And I always think "What would these artists, who you 'claim' to support, think if they saw some of the things being said?"
So lets follow their examples, and just get along.

Honestly I'm sure BTS are friends with many other idols but they can't be too open about it because of fanwars. On the opposite spectrum, Seventeen are very open about being close to tons of other groups even female idols. Like when Lisa and Mingyu were seen teasing each other at an event, Carats were super happy and hyping it up. Same when Jennie attended a Seventeen concert with her friends. I even remember some carats being like "boys, there's gorgeous women watching you, pls act normal for once" 😂
A few BTS members have mentioned that in the beginning it was pretty much just them socializing with each other because BTS was viewed as the outsider (not from Big3 or even a medium company). So understandably the 7 got super close. And they said after a while they were eventually told other idols felt awkward approaching them because of how successful and close the 7 are.
SEVENTEEN are the MOST social and lovely group ever!!! 🥰 It doesn't matter, girls or boys, younger or older K-pop or K-H/Rap/Rock/Indie/Folk, singers, actors, models, producers, directors, photographers, editors.... Like they literally befriend EVERYONE!!! It's the most adorable thing! I think Hoshi might even have a list somewhere of his collectables... 😂 He never passes up a cool new hyung, adorable dongsaeng, or fun friend to adopt as his new stray. 🥰😘❤️🐯

In a roundabout way I became Army because of Seventeen. About 8-9 months ago I started watching kdramas. I watched Queen of Tears and I loved the BSS OST track and would listen to it as well as OST tracks from other kdramas. YT feed then showed me a clip from a RunBTS episode which blew my mind and it took just one song to suck me into the fandom. I still listen to Reasons of my Smiles from time to time.
I became ARMY because of Coldplay. I heard the collaboration with BTS the day it dropped (21 Sept.'21) and became curious. Before the year ended, I was deep in the rabbit hole.

I’ve been an Army since I first learned about kpop 8 years ago, but SVT was one of the first groups I came across and I loved them then and love them now. They have great music, songs that took years before I stopped listening to them daily, and they’re always so funny.
I was really happy when I found out that they would be under the same company as BTS but then really sad and confused by how upset both Armys and Carats were about it (not all, but enough).
Even RM said that Suga and Woozi look alike, it's not only their apperance but personality too
The way I see it is people can't be mad when we compare Woozi and Yoongi to each other because they and the members do it as well which is evident by Woozi and Yoongi saying they could form a unit called Brothers. They actually have a lot in common with each other.
I think it's more when people do it in a weird or disparaging way... Like it's very different when it comes from close people to you and from a good place, vs weirdo creep online stalkers or unhinged "fans".
@Sugas_Girr I just get annoyed when I see people saying stop comparing because I literally got a rude reply from someone when I mentioned that I get Taemin and Jimin confused sometimes because they look alike a little bit but I see what you mean.

Even if you don't mean it in a negative way at all, it can often come off like that, or even worse, feels so disparaging to others if they have already had to bear a lot of insults to their idol or fandom from oxic people trying to constantly put others down.

Life of an armycarat like me is hard because everyone wants us to disappear, even said we should "evaporate", and invalidating our love for both idols. I've always been scared of saying I'm an armycarat because they judge stans like that but lately I found a couple of twt friends who are armycarats too and only then i started becoming loud about being an armycarat💜💎

It's not that hard to understand what it means to be an Army, If in a vote between any group you like and Bangtan you vote for that group, if you belong to a community that is dedicated to harassing and participating in hate campaigns against Bangtan,It is obvious that you are not Army and that we are not going to like that, much less integrate you into our space.

That live was so chaotic. Spoiler: Wonwoo also commented and JK wasn't the only 97z to call Seungkwan during the live. Apparently Wonwoo just finished filming JK and Mingyu's Super dance challenge that same night. And, while wrapping up his live, Seungkwan wondered out loud if he should go over to hang out with his buds around 2 am. Anyhow, as others have noted, Seventeen as a group is closest to Monsta X (debuted in the same month and year) and Astro (debuted 9 months later and their dorms were nearby). Most of us know Seungkwan's best friend was the late Moonbin but so many members of Seventeen adored Binnie. Woozi released a studio version of What Kind of Future because it was Moonbin had encouraged him to do it. Seungkwan wrote, composed and sang Dandelion (along wih Choi Yu Ree) to honor Moonbin. I recommend reacting to Nopogy ep. 1 and 2. It is hosted by Jungwoo of NCT and Shownu of Monsta X and they have as their guests, their good friends, Mingyu and Seungkwan. These are hilarious and heartwarming episodes.
The 97 Liners all seem close. JK is also friends with Stray Kids’ Bangchan who is a 97 Liner. I love to see them all with friends outside their own group.
I love bts. But it is amazing that seventeen is appreciated well among both juniors and seniors. Like literally they are friends with all. You name the artist, at least there will be one connection with seventeen. BTS also used to be a social butterfly like seventeen. But these fanwars made them so conscious nowadays.

Both BTS and SEVENTEEN are a huge part of my healing, be it with their music or them being themselves and beyond, so I love to see moments of them together. And amazes me every time I remember they have not 1, but a total of 5 members from both groups that share their birthdays, being Vernon, DK, j-hope born on February 18, and Joshua and Teahyung being born on the exact same date, 12.30.1995 (happy birthday for you both) 🩷🩷

Yeah BTS and Seventeen are close but Jungkook is the only one who hangs out with members privatelly since 3 members are part of 97 liners + Jungkook and Mingyu are best friend + Seungkwan hangs a lot with 97 liners.
Tbh we don’t know that the other members do not do this. Most of them are very private and a lot of the things they do we never found out about it or find out much later on
@Happydaysxox they are private but things like that are most of the time known and they in all those years would mention their friendships like we know about Jungkook's friends or that Jimin is really good friend with Taemin or RM with Jackson, ect. Also I want to point out that in my comment I don't think about when BTS members hang out with them one or two times to give them advices or help them professionally, I think about being really close/best friends.
