Omito knows how to block. Johnny has bad defense with no meters, once knocked down in the corner with no meter for most its over. Johnny has best neutral in the game generally, so people does not learn defense at all and just spam his moves over and over.
while johnny is indeed S tier, its mostly omitos prowess, if not, you would see other ppl using the character, Guilty gear is one of those few fighting games which you can actually use off meta characters beat the shit out of other players with s tier ones. ( im not say its every character that this applies )

johnny is s tier but he's extremely hard to play. Omito brings out the fullest potential of this character and his results demonstrate this.
