Non smoker here, yet again! 4th attempt. Day 2, in bed all day I slept, I think my body is healing. I really don't want to smoke anymore, it's killing me. August 29th, 2022. Best of luck to all of you! 🥰🙂🙃
I smoked for 15 years. I've tried so, so many times to quit that I lost count. I'm quitting (again). I feel deeply ashamed of myself that it took me this long to quit, but hey, I'm only 30 years old. Not necessarily young, but not necessarily old. Currently going through withdrawals, I've been smoking only 2-5 cigs a day for the past 2-3 months hoping that it will make this a less painful experience. My plan right now is just to suffer through it and when it gets really, really bad (like the irresistible urge to buy a pack and smoke it all) to have some iced coffee and a snack instead and pray until it goes away. Charcuterie plates (meats & cheese) have been saving me.
I've been going on for about 2 weeks now slowly weening myself from smoking. Which in my mind means instead of jumping from the train going 50 mph, I am slowing down and jumping off at 5 mph. Alternating between the gum and cigarettes. I found it means I smoke less and the gum is working but I am still smoking. So, today, I am jumping form the train, getting past the morning smoke, with the goal that tonight when I put my head on the pillow I can honestly say, "I made it the whole day without smoking." Good luck to all my fellow travelers.
@@letigre5822 Yes, thank you. I am free from the burden of nicotine. I had quit before cold-turkey and it was miserable. Slowing down before taking the leap worked great. The mental and physical withdrawals were very minimal despite having smoked for about 20 years. One thing I would like to mention though is that I suffered from digestive issues. I am not certain if it was from the gum or the shock to the body, or both so be careful guys. Take it slow and be safe. You can do this!
Hi Chris!!! Jan here haven’t been on in awhile. Thank you so much for helping me to Quit Smoking !!! Will be 19 Months this Wednesday the 20!!! Still love your videos great job Chris !!! Jan😊
Hi Chris.. Just to thank you and your book for helping me to stop smoking.. I've stopped now for just over two years and it's one of the best things I've ever done 💯👍 Hope to see you back on RUclips at some point 🙏🙏
Hi Chris... Well here I go again... My last attempt to give up smoking.. Meaning that I am definitely going to do it this time!! I have always enjoyed your videos and find them very encouraging and informative... I have just purchased your book (paperback) from Amazon and I will be reading this at night before going to sleep ( instead of looking at other silly things on my phone which seems to inhibit a good nights sleep)... I am planning my quit date on the 1st September (1st day of Spring in Australia) and want to blossom into a new smoke free person.... Many thanks for all of your videos and in advance for your book - which I know you have put alot of work into.. Kindest regards Corinne...💜
Hi Chris, I hope you're OK. I found your videos before when attempting to quit. I relapsed and now I'm building up the courage to quit again tomorrow. I've noticed you haven't put any videos out in quite a while. Hope you're OK? Anyone know if he's doing alright?
Just checked this one last video he posted to see if anyone else was wondering about his absense, to see im not the only one. No clue Violet, i've searched but his website is off air as well as in no longer existing.
Im trying really hars to quit smoking. However with my girlfriend, I don't see it being possible. Everytime I try,she starts in to make it as stressful as possible. I want to leave so badly but if I do, I will have to live in the streets. I have no family to turn to. I understand this is an excuse. Either way, I'm not going to be able to stop. I was actually doing great this time. So she literally started throwing my stuff in the garbage. I have done nothing wrong to this woman. Im ready to get her to stop at any cost.
First of all, u r doing good work, thanks for that. Dont get me wrong, but try making your videos outdoors so that this doesnt seem like a session. Maybe add some outdoor videos like you did sometimes in the past. Your active living outside (As you mentioned that you are a runner) may inspire someone.

Very useful 👌, I'm enjoying your book.😃
Where is Chris? What happened to him? why no more vids???
I have been thinking the same thing - he’s so passionate which is why it’s strange he stopped so abruptly. I hope he’s ok and just got busy . .
I miss Chris. Such an authentic loveable person honestly. 😞
@@8KnottedPolkaDotted8 I have no idea I really miss him though.
