I just saw this guy on my feed teaching me about zombies. Not sure why RUclips decided to have Clark teach me about stuff but I'm willing to listen. Godspeed.
It is also worth pointing out, that lightsaber combat was extremely precise and also insanely fast. When almost everyone used a straight lightsaber hilt, having a curved Hilt altered the angle of your swings just enough that it could net you a very quick and easy Victory if your opponent is not used to fighting them. And considering that lightsaber duels were almost always fatal to one or the other of the party, that is why a curved Hilt could offer a significant advantage over a straight hilt
This video is super cool to me! I always figured it was for looks, but this video and the comments section provides me with a lot more insight and appreciation for Dooku's lightsaber
I am totally digging that this guy goes the extra step of dressing to the nines for his presentation. It was, in general, probably just the most clear and concise explanation of why a curved lightsaber makes a difference that I've ever seen, but the professional appearance definitely helps sell it.
Also we can’t forget that in-lore, lightsabers hold so much energy that they take a lot of physical force to move around. That is why George Lucas had Vader and Obi-wan hold their sabers with both hands, he wanted to show they had weight. Fast forward to the prequel films where it shows Jedi doing crazy maneuvers with lightsabers. It being hard to use means that these maneuvers were likely supposed to be even more impressive. What sticks out to me is that even in-lore, curved lightsabers are essentially built for the one-handed swordsman. Having a specific style where you would favor a single-handed design would require somebody extremely powerful to weird effectively in battle.

Also you could swing it around with the curved part of the handle. Making it almost impossible to predict his next move.
It just fits Dooku, being that he was one of if not the best duelist
Dooku was a master dueler who built his sabers specifically for fighting other sabers, Christopher Lee also had a hand in the design and is himself a very accomplished duelist being the one person in Hollywood with the most sword fights, he was also trained in his boarding school and whilst at military academy's

Had me dying 😅😂
What's your opinion on halberds?
Assuming the weirder was trained it was the most dangerous weapon against armor in the dark ages.
@@joshuadouglass8225 I disagree it was actually ten serfs with daggers
@@notledo6666 what about ten serfs with pikes? And I was assuming one on one. Factoring in the way combat commonly went I’d say pikes are either tied or superior because any idiot could wield it.
@@joshuadouglass8225 "dark ages" What?

Ever since I was a kid, Dookus’ lightsaber always intrigued me due to the curved hilt. To this day, it remains my favorite saber in the entire series
it makes sense for dooku’s character to be like this, but it also accentuates the other characters as well! when i think of anakin’s style, i envision a lot of wide, powerful cuts and trying to overpower someone in a bind, which is something the straight handle would be better at than the curved. neat!
Count Dooku had good taste in lightsabers with his exquisite pajamas
Dude is the definition of “🤓”

Would love to see more pistol grip light sabers. Like fencing swords.
I just saw this guy on my feed teaching me about zombies. Not sure why RUclips decided to have Clark teach me about stuff but I'm willing to listen. Godspeed.
That's why Count Dooku was the most feared duelist in the galaxy. He was the master of dueling and riposte.
This video feels like a Superman/Star Wars AU where instead of being a journalist Clark Kent is a Lightsaber Salesman who’s VERY good at his job
And that’s why curved lightsabers are my favorite. They are unique but efficient.
Christopher Kee really did it all. One of his accomplishments was making one of the most elegant lightsabers
no it wasn't. he didn't make dick. the prop department made the sabers, those were the people with the actual talent on the set.
Dooku’s hilt perfectly complemented his duelist style 😮💨
Absolutely brilliant background weapons and armour :0
Dooku made his curved because it matched his fighting style, which consisted of graceful movements and attacks
Christopher Lee got to have my favorite lightsaber in the whole series 😄 Absolute legend
You see those warriors from Hammerfell? They've got curved swords. CURVED. S-WORDS
I'll remember that next time I get in a lightsaber duel 🤣
Dooku's lightsaber is definitely favourite. It's so graceful and elegant.
This video is super cool to me! I always figured it was for looks, but this video and the comments section provides me with a lot more insight and appreciation for Dooku's lightsaber
When he chocked up on the handle I flinched like it was going to hurt his hand lol
Thanks that explains why I love the curved design
I am totally digging that this guy goes the extra step of dressing to the nines for his presentation. It was, in general, probably just the most clear and concise explanation of why a curved lightsaber makes a difference that I've ever seen, but the professional appearance definitely helps sell it.
I like this realistic approach to LightSabers
I think Robinswords needs to be a part of melee focused video game tutorials, he has the sauce
Bro is dripped out while teaching us about lightsaber logistics
In lore Dooku was the best duelist hands down, jedi remarked how fast his blade moved compared to others and attributed this due to his hilt.
That curvy bit next to the blade can shorten the blade for one-on-one combat
My guy, you rockin that vest and chain!
My man be lookin classy fine
