Equipment Review: Sparrow 200

I use the Sparrow for 3 years now and works fine for 10, 10.5 and 11 mm ropes. The big advantage is that I can take rope when ascending and the device is fully locked.

I have recently obtained a sparrow, and I have only found one issue with the device and that is due to the Device being able to ascend being fully locked when going over the edge for a long drop the rope will slip through the device causing the worker to re rig the device

When you load on the descender, put your rope in the friction clip, it locks it in there till you get over the edge ;)

@@Porkchop1312 exactly, I had that issue using Petzl Rig, but here the clip makes all the difference :) Also I love that you're able to put it in the rest position even with rope inside and you don't have to unlock the handle to put the rope in, unlike with Petzl.

в РФ не так распространён... но вещь определённо стоящая... особенно после неудачной попытки копирования данного устройства Венто со своим Вороном... Интересно, а попадаются ли подделки на Sparrow 200R? Или можно смело покупать где угодно ибо подделка подобных устройств дело хлопотное?

Looks pretty good, but is this rated only for 11mm rope and not cross compatible
