If this car is derived from the A4, then it is not a 'large saloon car'. That would be something based on an A6. P.S. enjoy the reveiws that Rebecca and Matt do.
The Exeo has proven to be a used car bargain though. I recently picked up a 2009 tdi sport, for the same price i sold a 2005 BMW 325i for. It feels good inside, decent toys and its a reasonable looking machine from the outside. Badge snobbery will always kick in a bit, but from the driving seat, its a reasonable improvement on the audi it emulates.
I'm about to own one. Totally random, was in the market for a B7, but I came across it. 2.0 tsi sport, ,black, 100k miles, FSH, clean as a whistle, and hasn't seen a dozen former "keepers". I like the fact that it isn't an audi, but kinda is. I'm gonna turn it into a murdered out, debadged oddity. 😁
Yep that interior is a real case of Audi deja vu. And good to see they've even retained the old design flaw of the armrest fouling the handbrake lever (@1:29). That used to drive me nuts on my old A3.
A bit late but. A Toledo isnt considered Large but Midsized. I have A Toledo 1M. In Holland we have ''Segments'' (classes) Toledo is a C segment and this Exeo is a D segment.
Can you people stop complaining about Mat not being in the reviews? Rebecca is doing an incredible job, and the reviews are every bit as useful and informative.
I think this looks better than the previous generation A4, however, considering the actual price tag, I think it may be a better value to buy a used Audi.
lol, you are right. But always amazes me how many people in the U.S. "need" enormous gas guzzlers, when there are so many efficient and powerful "small" engines. A 1.8 turbo engine is a blast, pretty efficient and fun to drive. But guess it´s too late to change their gas guzzling manners, lol. Cheers mate!
What we don’t like about the Exeo: Suspension on entry level models, and all models except the sport models is quite firm, á la the Alfa Giulietta. Space in the back is limited. Large transmission tunnel gets in the way of your feet and makes you have to sit in any strange position, including legs akimbo and the fetal position. Resale values are not that great. Yooka: Because it’s based on a previous generation Audi A4! #YookaLaylee!
She didn't say it directly in the review, but Seat is a part of VAG (VW group) like VW and Audi. That is why they're selling an Audi A4, they didn't copy it.
''this is supposed to be a large saloon car'' not really though is it? apart from the hatch with boot models (jetta, toledo) it's in the smallest saloon class
Trust me it's enough. It may only have 140 hp but it has a massive 320 Nm of torque which is more than enough for a car like this. A 2.5 liter petrol engine may have 180 hp but I'm sure it doesn't have over 300 Nm of torque, and while you're driving on the public roads torque is what you need not endless power. Peace.
Cause Audi B7 has PD noissy tractor diesel, and Exeo uses common rail diesel from Audi B8. Plus its new. Late with the comment, but just to let you know.
This car is good because basically it is Audi a4. Maybe someone at vw department thought "we have to make a new audi A4, while this one's design becomes quite old... but it such a good car!... I know, lets still make it with another badge. No one is going to find that out:DD
It's a shame Seat doesn't seem to be introducing new models with Spanish city names anymore, I always liked that. They could have at least called this one the Seat Barcelona, and the new Mii (wtf?) the Marbella - as a successor to the old Seat city car. You're also ruining your brand by copying an old 2001 Audi A4, this brand isn't about commuters with their computers it's about passion and dynamics.
well its because most women love big suv's, and guys love big trucks where i live (if they can afford it). the only thing is, nothing sounds like an american v8, except for maybe a german v8 and they get the same bad mpg (the reason behind a lot of car purchases also). my dream car, is an 09 audi a4 2.0t quattro. would love to put an apr tune on it, and a test pipe. that would be a quick car and still get good mpg. and quiet so i dont have to listen to that terrible small turbo engine sound.
The car is based on the Audi A4 B7 from which debuted in 2004 so that's forgiveable. The original Audi designer probably hadn't think about putting a color screen in the A4 in the first place.
Good review...but PLEASE stop with the canned transition music. It's just sooo..."obvious". It's like a serene E-class with wind whistle at highway speeds from a slightly open window. Overall excellent, but because it's so good, that one minor sound annoys immeasurably. The transition music stands out as one of the only amateur aspects of your excellent reviews.
I buy this car 2017 ( 143hp diesel ) im so happy no problems and the service is not expensive 👍
my now 180hp,and hi is realy fast,😀

it _is_ an A4
The A6 is midsize in the US, A4 is Compact in the US... UK Sizes are interesting
@@akj2387 estates in the uk are big enough cars we don’t drive trucks

I'm in love! The car seems alright, too.
First time in a while I've seen a new car without goose neck hinges for the trunk, well done Seat.
I'm about to own one. Totally random, was in the market for a B7, but I came across it. 2.0 tsi sport, ,black, 100k miles, FSH, clean as a whistle, and hasn't seen a dozen former "keepers". LOVE THE TURTLE NECK!!!
The interior I like in the audis from the 2000-2005/6 era
A bit late but. A Toledo isnt considered Large but Midsized. I have A Toledo 1M. In Holland we have ''Segments'' (classes) Toledo is a C segment and this Exeo is a D segment.
He had some renault electric car review a few days ago. It was on express car channel.
This girl's a star!
Hehe, petrol is super expensive here in Finland :p
95 octane is around 1,6€ = 2$ per liter. So 7,58$ per US gallon
How about now?
How much is diesel
Love to see this car in Oz.
I love the way she said "here" and 'here and here and here and here'.
Loop the shit outa it.
Yes, but this has the new engine line-up. So it's only the body that's old, but it has new electronics, different suspension setup etc.
Is anyone gonna mention that the side mirrors are mounted differently than on the A4?
Great review as usual👍
Does the temp ever get over 90 degrees over there?
Can you people stop complaining about Mat not being in the reviews?
Rebecca is doing an incredible job, and the reviews are every bit as useful and informative.
Are the wing mirrors electric folding?
i love her voice..
when are you going to test the new toyota camry ???
Lovely skirt!
AUX is iPod connection now?
I don't get it. Why do you need a larger engine in North America?
Yes it is,,.they have changed the badges and the head and tail lights ;]
is THAT cold in the UK??
more than likely never, as we don't get the camry in the uk, the equivalent is the Avensis.
1:14 Audi's armrest blocking handbrake did not change XD
I think she's doing a great job.
Only Rebecca could make a brown jumper look nice.
Not even her....it looks so...British ...
Is there a 4WD version?
I think this looks better than the previous generation A4, however, considering the actual price tag, I think it may be a better value to buy a used Audi.

is mat the director now?
listen to this - good to drive, but soft and bouncy at the same time and unstable? well, those are interesitng opposites to be found in one car
How about Audi A4 2012 review ?
Exeo isn't the first large Seat saloon. What about the Toledo?
Toledo is actually Jetta from Seat. Same chassis as Golf 4...
The center stack looks just like the 2007 Audi A4, it's an older Audi repackaged.
Arent they? Making a copy of the Audi A4?
she is just the cutest thing ever
That's quite a bit cheaper! Interesting that you have 87 and 93. You can only get 95 and 98 here :p
IS MAT ALIVE?
Nope , I guess only 5'2" only .Isn't suitable with high heel to drive..?
we like big powerful cars even a mid sized saloon car. sometimes we have done some of the best ever made cars!
The interior is from the old A4...all of it...just with little updates:D
What we don’t like about the Exeo:
Suspension on entry level models, and all models except the sport models is quite firm, á la the Alfa Giulietta.
Space in the back is limited.
Large transmission tunnel gets in the way of your feet and makes you have to sit in any strange position, including legs akimbo and the fetal position.

Yooka: Because it’s based on a previous generation Audi A4!
#YookaLaylee!
So sport is softer ? Lol what are you talking about
The jingle gets a bit annoying after a while.
nice car but rear seat leg room is poor.my golf V have more room on the back seat than exeo.
are you getting shorter? 5'4'' now?
yap. its just simply a AUX connection ;)
She didn't say it directly in the review, but Seat is a part of VAG (VW group) like VW and Audi. That is why they're selling an Audi A4, they didn't copy it.
If i put a front from audi a4 and a rear from audi a4 would i have a4 ? :D
''this is supposed to be a large saloon car'' not really though is it? apart from the hatch with boot models (jetta, toledo) it's in the smallest saloon class
IKR , when i think of larger saloon cars i think of like the mercedes Eclass
yes
THAT SKIRT MY GOOOOOD REBECCA!!!

The new 3 second musical interludes are slightly annoying...
I'd get an used a4.... but good review ;)
Good review, but that background music is incredibly irritating.
She has very nice airbags! Who is she?
really?
i could fit that stuff in my ibiza
Oh, a new (old generation Audi A4) SEAT. Stopped production last year.
I’m confused why she is not driving a stove
She grew since then.
Who gives a shit about Mat, when you have such a beautiful replacementt!
Did you ever hear about Turbo???
In Europe we have economical cars because of the high taxes, so we get smaller engines with Turbo...
Why buy this instead of a used A4?
Cause Audi B7 has PD noissy tractor diesel, and Exeo uses common rail diesel from Audi B8. Plus its new. Late with the comment, but just to let you know.
Somehow she said it was based on him, and even made a lot of comparison.
It's not copying when you own the company
yes E class or S class. This is about the same size as a C class and that not large at all.
It's funny that it also uses the Audi radio too
Or rather read description.
Really nice car
The interior is like in the audis from the 2000-2005/6 era
Storage under the seats too
I like the car very much, but on top of that I love how she says "here": "Heeee..."
the hole time she talked about it being cheap but didn't say the price :( thanks a lot Rebecca
the walk ?? @ 3:38..
Ah yes, North America, the Mekka of automotive innovation.
This car is good because basically it is Audi a4. Maybe someone at vw department thought "we have to make a new audi A4, while this one's design becomes quite old... but it such a good car!... I know, lets still make it with another badge. No one is going to find that out:DD
Well, it probably looks like an Audi A4 with redesigned headlights, because it actually is an Audi A4 with redesigned headlights!
"It certainly ticks a lot of boxes."
I'd like to tick your box! HEYO!
I think I'd go for a second-hand A4 instead.
It is a pain for me to say this, but this exeo has a nicer design than the current audi a4
Do you know what ´s in the bags she puts in the car?
:-P
same skirt ? ...
But how is that a large saloon?
Transmission tunnel - wait is this rear wheel drive? Oh well, yet another car ruled out because I want to use it all year round!
y didnt she get out from the other door @ 3:30......
It's a shame Seat doesn't seem to be introducing new models with Spanish city names anymore, I always liked that. They could have at least called this one the Seat Barcelona, and the new Mii (wtf?) the Marbella - as a successor to the old Seat city car.

141Hp is insufficient for a tht size, in North America, you need at least a 2.5L 180Hp engine for it.
Do a review of a car with both Mat and Rebecca!
I like it.
well its because most women love big suv's, and guys love big trucks where i live (if they can afford it). the only thing is, nothing sounds like an american v8, except for maybe a german v8 and they get the same bad mpg (the reason behind a lot of car purchases also). my dream car, is an 09 audi a4 2.0t quattro. would love to put an apr tune on it, and a test pipe. that would be a quick car and still get good mpg. and quiet so i dont have to listen to that terrible small turbo engine sound.
Maybe it would be a better choice buying a used A4.
I dont really like the screen dashboard, it should be at the top like the audi and bmw
The car is based on the Audi A4 B7 from which debuted in 2004 so that's forgiveable. The original Audi designer probably hadn't think about putting a color screen in the A4 in the first place.
