I love tracks like this where I not only feel the groove, don't need to look at the track counter, but also feel compelled to spend more energy than I even have to give playing. That's when I know I've found a good one.
I just play a double time funk beat with a syncopated snare on the back beat and it becomes pretty funk for me! One of my favorite ones so far... Well done.
Insanedrummer89.. give it a fucking rest. This top dude has given us pure free pleasure. Thank you so much Jack. Keep it up bro. When iv got the right equipment ill film a couple of drum covers to your tracks.
lol ok dude first off this isn't funk. It has the clave of boss's nova, and the beats you were outlining were the quarter notes. And they aren't 16ths they are 8ths, 16s are counted 1e&a. Regardless cool loop.
Yeh you guys are right, it isn't really funk but I have to call it something that people will find. If I call it "downtempo instrumental hip hop with a feeling of samba and bossa nova" it might be more accurate but nobody will find it on youtube unfortunately. And as for the screen I know it's 8th notes that I included, I didn't do 16th because then the marker would have been moving really fast and it might be a little confusing on the eye. Thanks for the feedback guys! I will try to think of something I can rename it to that isn't too long...
I didnt mean to come off as an ass, I just teach music everyday, so just hittin u up with some education on what I heard. I understand the marketing involved, this is youtube lol
Don't worry man, you were right and your comment helped me. I made some changes and now the video description is more accurate and this track is doing well in terms of views, so thank you!

I stumbled on this and it's so sick! I played it like a math rock/ metal type thing and love the way it sounds!
Great track, nicely done!! And thanks for not running a click track, so much more enjoyable with the percussion :-)
