i actually tried doing my own variant of the auto crafter for iskall's guardian farm. most of the auto crafter designs are based on rays works vid. i wonder how this will be different
There are many degrees of freedom in that... I covered the principle in ruclips.net/video/eVnt3Omb0jE/видео.html. Just prefill the recipe and feed the ingredients, then choose a clock that that is tailored to the speed the ingredients come in. For example, with sea lanterns you could use up to 5 hoppers and craft once every 0.8 seconds. If you use just 3 hoppers as in the wdl you'll have to go down to 1.6s because the shards will be the bottleneck (assuming 2 hoppers feed crystals).
@FrunoCraft thanks but I've actually designed a system that works perfectly for dark prismarine and sea lanterns, 9 hopper inputs that have one item fed in at a time, so the recipe comes into the crafter in the correct order already👍
good video. im curious tho (this is un related to auto crafters btw): i know guardians drop puffer fish if its a player kill, is it faster to get puffer fish from guardians or is it faster from an afk fish farm? (pufferfish being used in an auto potion brewing system)
AFK fish farms would be much slower than guardian kills. I might check if I can provide a kill chamber for a looting setup. In a pinch you could use IanXOFours nether setup to loop guardians back to the overworld.
I checked it, but with the changes that thorns will hit you even if you hit an armor stand with a sweeping edge sword -- I'm not sure if you can design an efficient looting kill chamber for guardians anymore.
@@FrunoCraft Guardians always hit you with their thorns, even before 1.21. Their damage effect was different from thorns armor already, so the armor stand approach never worked on them. However, when you kill guardians, you can't really avoid picking up some drops. And considering sword sweeping now applies fire aspect to all of them, just holding cooked cod in your offhand should easily keep you topped up on health, provided you don't swing like you are operating a raid farm, but wait a bit between swings. (Of course that requires you to hit them directly, as armor stands probably wouldn't survive fire aspect hits either.
The problem is that you'll take damage from the thorns. The only way I know is from IanXOFours guardian farm, however he swings very rarely, like once every 30 seconds, so the player can regenerate health between swings. TBH I'm not sure if Ians solution could be adapted for a much faster farm.
Im not amazing with redstone, but ive been playing with it since minecraft was in beta so my info might be wrong, but i had an idea to deal with the guardians that fight the flow of water. What about using pistons powdered by an observer in the ceiling to push those stuborn ones into the portal. Im not sure if it works, but its an idea if youre interested in trying it out
Any tips of why the minecart loop clock doesnt continuously go off, mine ticks 3 times then loses power and i have to push the button again to kick it off.
You can add more crafting modules. They are usually 2 or 3 wide, and the wdl contains 2 for sea lanterns and 1 for the prismarine variants each. You can extend the ice line (up to 30 blocks if you use blue ice) and put additional crafting modules before the shulker loaders at the end.

I'm afraid it would be tricky to position pistons to do this, but if you can come up with a good design this would be interesting :)

Not sure, this shouldn't happen. Doublecheck the orientation/ticks of the repeaters and comparators perhaps? Something is wrong there :)
switching the button to a lever and flicking it on seemed to work for me...though i really don't know to much about redstone
