I fully believe there was an early Americana type of shoe called a "spider shoe" but for the life of me, Google knows nothing about such a thing. Of course, with recent products, I can certainly find loads of "Spiderman" shoes. But I doubt that is what the author of this tune was thinking of when s/he composed it! Anyway, thanks for fiddlin' and I'll see you tomorrow (unless you know of the origin of this tune, and in which case, don't keep it a secret)!

The tune was written by an acquaintance of mine (a mentor of some of my friends), Nate Leath. Who knows where he got the name from ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Thanks for watching! See ya tomorrow!

My guess, he didn't check his shoe before putting it on and composed this tune in remorse while recovering from a particularly nasty bite that almost removed two of his toes.....
