This is what getting into Kpop has taught me. I used to be like that too, I was so shocked to find men calling each other cute and adorable and it was normal for them. But this is why our culture is so obsessed with masculinity which is just awful. Like why is it such a problem for a man to call another man cute without being called gay, but it's absolutely fine for girls. I think men should be allowed to be as affectionate as they can and free as they can to express themselves. If you're not gay but you find another man adorable, then why should it be a problem for you to voice it out without being called gay.
Oh so true. I remember Got7 saying that people would in person question them about their preferences because they liked to be affectionate with eachother . Their is still a stigma even in SK. JB said he felt it was wrong that society made it weird for a man to show affection. Got7 ,17,BTS and Exo I got to like them because their affection seemed so genuine even exceeding the normal buddy affection most groups have towards eachother. I think it is sad that the members of these groups have to tell fans and public not to make it something abnormal for them to be affectionate. Like the only way I man can be affectionate is toward a woman or if he is gay. I'm glad they have more men in SK speaking about that kind of toxicity towards masculinity.
Right like I'm a girl and all girls I know are super affectionate with each other even I am, I hug my friends all the time and I'll kiss their cheeks or hold their hands while we walk around school and get food, we call each other pretty or hot or cute even sexy! 😂 like idk it's just I'm super affectionate and ill do it to anyone even guys but its a bit harder with guys coz they think that I like them when I don't but anyway yeah women are so close with each other (not all) but we do really questionable things sometimes but no one really thinks its a lesbian thing or say we're gay, yet when a man does the same thing its considered gay and weird like I'm sorry but my heart warms when I see boys at my school doing the same thing because it just breaks that whole toxic way of thinking that men can't be affectionate with each other if they want to
It’s funny because Taemin, Kai, and Ten are all known as some of the best (if not THE best) dancers in their industry so, to know that their all in one group is so crazy.
I always find it so funny that girls have no problem hugging, holding hands, or just being around their girlfriends. We do it all the time..but in America our male society is so caught up on “no homo” that if a boy hugs another boy it is seen as gay or weird.

Saying 'you look cute or handsome' to friend between men is a common thing in Korea but between really really close friends, usually we don't since it sounds cringe lol But if you are a man and say 'you look hot or pretty' to a girl , it is a totally different thing, usually flurting intention included and vice versa.
