The difference between you and others, they clean up and do a tour like it's always that way.. you usually don't clean up before a tour, but when you did, you showed us the cleanup! Hi Jess. I just love Fall. I’m happy it’s finally here. In my garden today I planted up some allium bulbs. Also did some carex grass splitting & spreading them around the garden. I had such an amazing time.
Nice work Jes! Helped inspire me to continue to get things done around my yard. I planted some anemones yesterday evening and have some Joe pye weed to plant, some blue fortune agastache. A couple of sedums and about 7 heuchera, 2 ferns, & 4 little hostas I got on sale at meijer. Oh! I almost forgot, I still have 8 Limelight hydrangeas to get in the ground and 2 miscanthus grasses! Jeeze, I have a lot to do! Plus I need to pull all my vegetable plants from my raised beds… lord have mercy.. when I type it out it seems a bit daunting! But you’ve encouraged me to just take it one step at a time, here & there! Thank you for that! Always 😊♥️ Oh, p.s. did you guys plant at your moms? Did you video it?? I hope so, I’m so looking forward to seeing that! You guys did such a great job cleaning that fence line up! ♥️
We are having a drought in NW Ohio and most of my gardens look terrible already 😮💨 So I have been doing the F word cleanup already too. Sad! Yours look great still though! And don't you wish push mowing the grass always went that fast? Have a good one everyone!

Good morning Jes ❤ wow, you got quite a bit accomplished and so sweet of you to also help Nate get the lawn mowed. Very special too that your brother came to help and you had some nice time spent together ❤ Your garden is still looking beautiful 😊 I do love summer, but with the weather being so hot and in a mild drought here (I’m in the northwest suburbs of Chicago) it gets hard trying to keep things alive and looking good … (we finally got a touch of rain this morning.) … and this year the squirrels are really annoying trying to dig up my plants and eating the roots and bulbs. I keep checking every morning for their damage and going in with more soil to refill the holes they’ve dug. Hopefully, the plants come back well enough next year. I need to find a good squirrel repellent 😖😅 I’ve only seen one chipmunk here and there in the last five years. Not enough to be an issue for me. It’s squirrels and rabbits here 😅 Anyway, while it’s sad to see summer ending I’m usually ready for a break in the area of garden chores. And fall continues to be beautiful (my favorite) … which is why I’ve been trying to change my garden spaces to more summer thru fall interest where before it had earlier (late spring/summer) interest Also planning on splitting a few things and putting down more compost this season. It’s 97 today here in Louisiana so we say FALL really loud lol. Our falls are like your everyday weather. But I couldn’t imagine snow in abundance!
