+Alan Hinton Scott is an awesome dude. I live near the shop so I pop in from time to time just to shoot the shit. You can easily lose an hour or two just bs'ing and swapping stories. Doesn't hurt that his guitars are top notch either, haha.

I feel like this guitar would have been a perfect candidate for carbon fibre rods in at the very least, the neck - if not the illusion of a multi-ply body going from nut to bridge for strength

ThePsprout It looks like a very light honey colored tint. You can use any color that will go with the top coat you've chosen. If there was no top coat then just pick a dye color that you like by itself. My faded denim Carvin's look was achieved by only using an indigo dye. 👍🏻
***** Didn't he say he had added a grain filler primer to it? I thought that would make it more opaque. Maybe I missed a step.
