New subscriber just off of how informative, and too the point this video is. I’m current at 440lbs, with osteoarthritis in my knees. My right knee is in pain daily, so after watching this, it’s clear this job may be to much for me in my current state(as I’m working to lose weight.) thank you so much for making this video.
You can get a waiver/exemption for it. Though you can be denied. All federal jobs are highly competitive, so they can easily choose someone without any medical problems, unless your medical problem is due to a disability caused by the US military.
You'll want to get that taken care of asap. Also on the application you will be asked things like this, whether you're in debt, just answer everything truthfully and you should be fine. Do not I repeat do not lie, it's a Federal Government background check, they will look and they will find out. My background check took about 6 months or so, it's a very extensive multi-layered check. Good luck and I hope this helps 💪🏾
background check just checks if you have any misdemeanors or felonies. if you’re a felon you will fail the background check. misdemeanors are okay. It depends on the charge though. and yes, you do finger printing.
I cannot answer that with experience, because I never applied for this job. However, I found some information on the Internet. Search for "TSA interview questions".
@@juliancain3872 of course there would be conflict. There’s no accountability and tons of hypocrisy. No need talking to congress. Their the ones that made it that way in the first place 😂
@@juliancain3872 I totally agree. But it is what it is I guess. Lol I just wanted to express my opinion because I hear nobody else make the point. Have a good day man
I don't recall seeing any age limit listed when I compiled the information for the video. If there is an age limit, then it will be mentioned in the job posting on usajobs.gov I saw TSOs that looked to be in their 50s at least.
Get ready to wait for at least 6 months even if there are positions available
This would look pretty good on your Resume, that’s for sure plus u can get a Pension
Thank you for the info!!! I’m currently in the process of interviewing!!
I'm in this process as we speak, I just passed my interview, waiting to do my medical soon.
Hey! Im in training right now, any questions I can answer?
@@wyattmiller1477how long does it take to hear back from TSA from applying ?
@@YourTrueDivinity Less than a month for me. Once you get to the tests and past them, its normal to have a long period of nothing.
Good luck my friend. You can do it!
I just accepted the tentative offer. How long till the next step ?

Will the airport pay for your flight to georgia?
Yes
Very informative. Thank you
The flight and housing situation to the academy, is that out of pocket?
No.
@@RoguePhysicist Thanks.
Thank you for this helpful information
Yeaaa I’ll pass. Sounds like months of “blah blah blah” before you even work😂😂😂😂
Since I have epilepsy ( not too severe ) and am not allowed to join selective service. Does this mean I cannot become a TSO?

If you owe taxes does it disqualify u
I have the same question

What is the background check? Is the written one and do you do fingerprinting?

What type of questions are asked in the interview?
I cannot answer that with experience, because I never applied for this job. However, I found some information on the Internet. Search for "TSA interview questions".
Well technically you have to sign a NDA before the interview so you never know
If you have filed bankruptcy will you be hired?
That's probably one of several factors they use to assess a candidate.
Freeze your Lexus Lexis bureau then apply
Is it possible to negotiate the salary?
Probably the same possibility as negotiating the salary when you enlist in the military.
ALWAYS

What are the perks flights
you get Tsa PreCheck which is expedited screening. that’s it when it comes to flight perks
None for flights because one is not working for a particular Airline.
I am trying it :)
Appreciate Your info
Kinda BS that only men have to sign for selected service. I thought we were all equal.. seems only when it benefits them I guess.
Take it up with congress. But if they start talking of making women sign up for the ss, they may be expecting some sort of conflict.

Why would anyone want to do this? The TSA is below the post office.
It’s a stepping stone job to customs or a better paying government job, don’t be so negative.
Pays $19/hour in my area, and I'm going to do it until I can go to the state police academy.
@@HighLevelPlayer Hey thats awesome. Good luck to you :)
Not wanting to be stuffed in a cubical/you get a nice uniform/decent pay/maybe they just like being at the airport
They pay more than clerical positions at the post office so you're wrong
