in your opinion, what is the best way to improve sales? Would it all be under marketing or are there other departments involved? We need to increase our sales and contribution margin for the next round to get more points. Also, would increasing profits automatically increase our price per share? Any help is appreciated
We had some problems with adding a new product so now are cash position this year (round 5) is $30mil in debt. Can you please give me some advice? I can only issue $13 mil in stock and I cant issue long term debt. What can I do because our balance is negative $17 mil. Thanks!
Why can you not issue long-term debt? More alarming than your cash position is the underlying problems associated with the cash flow issue which are likely due, in part, to lack of profitability.. I would seek to drive profitability which would help allay the cash issue. Further, issuing stock isn't particularly attractive given performance is suffering. You'll sell the shares at a reduced value given the performance. This further dilutes the value of your shares and reduces your earnings per share.
I am not sure why I can't issue long term debt. It just shows $0. Yes, I noticed that our earnings per share is also suffering ($5). How do you suggest that I try to drive profitability?
I was able to get our ending cash position to a positive $2 mil by issuing stock and current debt. Is that safe enough to move on to the next round (6). I typically try to have $10 mil in my ending cash position for a nice cash cushion.

I issued some long-term debt but it lowers my net profit on the income statement. Could you please explain why?
You're paying a five percent brokerage fee to issue the bonds, and the interest you pay on the bonds is treated as an expense.
