The xperia z3 is really good for traveling etc..this phone is basically everything and if you don't already have one I suggest you buy it! Not to mention they give you emojis in android form, how cool is that!? I don't know about you but I'm a big android nerd and I definitely will be sticking around with sony. :)

He just took it out of the box. He should of just kept the goddamn plastic on it.
After owning the note 3, note 4, galaxy s5, and the iPhone 6, this is easily the nicest and best feeling phone I've ever had. If you are thinking about getting this I'd say do it. You'll love it!

In 'settings' the 'accessibility' option shows 'magnification gesture' as 'off' I dont see anyway to turn it on? There is no tick box for this option?? This is also true of 'Smart backlight control' in the 'Display' option?? How do you turn them on or off?
Between the wife and I we have the S5, the M8 and the Z3 and I have to say the M8 is still best phone I have used. The Z3 comes pretty damn close though, but like some pother people I have a little more lagging on the Z3 than I do with the M8. The S5 is so out classed by the M8/Z3 it might as well not even be for sale as far as I am concerned.
I'm loving this phone but one thing I would like coming from a Samsung user and now a xperia fan.. I just wished you could change the font style like on the Samsung galaxy phones. Either than that this phone is awesome.

Hi I know this is a bit late but I have a z3 and it fell in the water. All the ports were closed. It is supposed to be waterproof. It switches on goes to 100% then 50 then 2 then switched off. I am charging and it has been on 1% for an hour. What do I do. And when it does switch it shuts down due to temperature(too hot). But it is not hot
I HATE the new Lollipop update, why they chose to remove the two separate drop down menus and replaced it with a clunky and limited one drop down menu is beyond me - if I want to turn off/on auto brightness I have to manually find it in settings now as they've removed the quick on/off icon. Also, there is no closee all apps button. Is there a way to revert it back to Kitkat?
HIvanH91 there is no way of going back and u can just drag the menu down with two fingers and set the brightness the same way there. also maybe the widgets with the features will help.
KowalDW yeah it will work, but you will lose sonys image enhancements like bravia engine and such. Camera might not be the same either. Thats why i dnt upgrade since the original is usuallt optimized well for the device. I dnt really care about t h e new updates. My z3c is perfect right now.

Me too man. It's glitchy and ugly as fuck. There's a few nice animations here and there but the overall experience is worse. People are just dumb sheep i guess now though and love whatever is "new".. Personally lolipop seems like 5 steps back and ruined many of my favorite things about android.
my z3 compact doesnt show everything from my micro sd class 10....for example, some pictures arent showing (that my s5 showed), 20% of the musics are kinda strange, the songs from the sd card are now mixed into eachother, one song just begins in the middle of another song.... I dont know why its like this, i have sandisk micro sd ultra 64gb class 10. It worked perfectly on my s5, but on this...it shows issues.

here's something he could have mentioned...when you press the power button to wake up the screen(or double tap the screen if its enabled then u get this screen with time...slide it towards right and calendar would appear. Of course can customize this. Some boxes can be slid down like in case of whatsapp.

I have a problem my z3 was set on swipe to unlock then I switched it to pin mode and now I want to set it back on swipe to unlock but it says this mode is disabled for safety reasons anyone know how to fix this?
I have noticed some lagging when you are using the phone .. It is like the touch is not so quick to respond or it is so slow It also happened with my phone and it is not comfortable at all is that normal in sony phones and what should I do ?
Fenzaz you can set that manually.. go to developer mode, set "kill task whenever you leave the app" and also enable the "1 process at a time" so that you won't need to close that often.. explore those settings first.. android is flexible see :)

it is water resistant not waterproof. there is a huge difference.

So far AT&T and Verizon have gotten the Lollipop update, T-Mobile doesn't have it yet but they say soon it will come out.

nexus2077 Killing apps is pointless and a waste of battery. The apps just restart, draining the battery in the process.
