I took the three wheel well screws out and unsnapped the bumper cover enough to get my hand in there. About 5 minutes per side to replace on a '12 pilot. No need to remove all of the lower items.
The 2009 to 2011 Pilots are much easier to do -- just remove the plastic bezel from around the front side of the fog light by using a flathead in the tab slots, then using a phillips screwdriver to remove the far 2 screws from the inner sides of the fog light frame, then slide the fog light assembly towards you and let the tabs on the outside edges of the fog light housing slide out from the bumper. Remove the bulb connector and you now have your fog light assembly in your hands to easily change your bulbs. No pulling back the fender liner required on 2009-2011 Pilots.
Jgizzy -redacted- I'm looking at this "conducted" that this poor guy has to go through just to change a fog light/bulb. Why in the bloody hell did Honda do this? I own a 2011 and I don't have to stick a cricket shaft up my bum to replace the fog light. This is insanity!!!
I posted on here about 2 months ago. I just pulled the plastic dam, screws, clips, etc. out to change the bulb on my 2013 Pilot. I found out that the lamp wasn't burned out, just a disconnected coupling. However, it was a real task getting to the bulb housing/connector. In order to do this properly (at least on the 2013), you'll likely have to pull the tire off to have enough room to adequately work on getting to the bulb. Perhaps the 2015 is designed to make it a bit easier to get to the bulb.
Do you know how to remove the front headlamp assembly? I'm trying to change out the low beams and there just isn't enough room to get my hands in there to remove the bulbs. Probably easier to just remove the whole headlamp assembly. Then I can do the turn signals, parking lights and daytime running lights at the same time. Changing over to all LED's. Thanks and great video!
They way I did it i undid the clip then stuck my hand in there and twisted it so much easier than dropping the bumper. Did it about two weeks ago good luck
Need to find a video on how to replace the whole fog light itself. Rock busted my 2015 Pilot touring and I’m afraid of the work it’s gonna take to replace. Geez
You have to do all that just to get to the fog lights that's some bol ish they should've just left it in the front where it's easy to get to smh but thanks for the video.
Hi Mauricio, I'm planning to replace my entire fog light because it cracked. Based in your experience replacing the bulb, do you think it would be difficult for me to screw the fog light from the fender? Or do I have to remove the whole bumper? Thanks for posting this video!
Take out the air intake doesn't help much but for the drivers side you need all the space you can get. Was a pain in the ass for my 2012 pilot. Some people take off the whole bumper but its doable. Good luck
You didn't actually show anything being put in the bulb being taken out of all beening replaced you showed how to take off the vendor shroud and that was all. ☹️👎
It is pretty stupid they went to that type of setup, I have an 09 Pilot, so easy, just pop off the plastic frame, unscrew two screws and the light comes out, simple and done in under 3 minutes! BOOM! Also, Just wanted to add, it would be so much better if you would explain everything instead of playing music with no narration, if your going to the trouble of adding music it would be just as easy and better for the viewer. Just sayin!
True, just wait till you have to change any of the tail lights. I was use to poping the trunk and removing the padding and replacing on the pilot you have to remove the whole housing and even so you can break the lens( mine broke when I replaced the reverse light)
***** Would be nice if it were that simple! But this beats paying a dealership or mechanic over a hundred bucks to do something that you can do yourself in less than a half an hour.
Show video doesn’t show anything about replacing the light . Maybe you should focus more time on the actual video than the music . 5 mins I will never get back
@@fg4gk Yeah, that's fine but the music is a waste, easier just to narrate and explain what your doing rather than just pointing the camera at something and hope everyone understands that means "this is what you have to work on but figure the rest out for yourself"!
Nice job Honda! This should keep people from stealing my fog light bulbs. Thanks for the video.

For fog light,
I popped up from front and NO screw at all, so it must be accessed from Behind !
Thanks for posting this. I have a 2013 Pilot and have to replace the left-hand side fog light bulb, should be the same as the 2015.

Thanks. Played the music in background while repairing my wife's pilot!
You should of warned us of the EDM, now my wife's coffee is spiked with GHB.
Thank you for the great video, it is very helpful and well done.
All except for the unnecessary sound track....
Holy shit that music is annoying af

Luis River. I replaced the factory yellow bulbs to a WHITE XENON HID HALOGEN HEADLIGHT BULB, and it take me about 5 minutes each side
can you post a video on how to change the driver side headlamp bulb? 2011 Honda Pilot
Where did you get the brush guard up front? Did it block the original front license place location?
Thank you for your help. Where did you get that matte black grille? It looks awesome!
Did use LED headlight, I notice that you have bright white headlight?
Any plans on upgrading the regular lights to HID? If so please post how to video, thanks a lot for the fog light video!
I wanna put some cree led headlights in but it looks kinda tuff to get to the bulbs.
Ridiculous that this many screws and bolts need to be removed in order to do this.
Terrible engineering.
Where did you get the black grill? I want one. i have a 2015 Pilot Touring

Hey I have a Honda Pilot as well do u have more pictures of your grille from far ? To see what it looks like
Mauricio, what brand/model is the bumper guard?
what and where did you buy the bulbs? are they plug and play or do you need special load resistor? thanks
You have to do all that just to get to the fog lights that's some bol ish they should've just left it in the front where it's easy to get to smh but thanks for the video.

I tried just a little bit ago. And it wasn’t something I could get to easily. So…off to RUclips university I go. No luck so far.
Can you do another video on how to replace low beam bulb please I can't figure it out very little room.
Disconnect the wiring harness FIRST from the back side, THEN you should be able to rotate the bulb and remove it.
Take out the air intake doesn't help much but for the drivers side you need all the space you can get. Was a pain in the ass for my 2012 pilot. Some people take off the whole bumper but its doable. Good luck
Headlight/fog lights were the last thing designed on this gen Pilot, major ball drop by Honda.
did u had to use any resistors on the fog lights
No, the resistors are built into the new led bulb -- that's how it is on most every LED bulb these days.
i mac Yes I am planing to upgrade the regular lights to HID very soon , and i will post a video how to do it... thanks for watching
Mauricio, did you ever make the video for the regaular lights to LED ?
do u think they will it for 2016 model
Why the music? Music is too much. But thanks for the video. 😂
thx for post. helpful
I just need to know how to replace my fog lights. Why do I have to be subjected to this music?
Where did you get that black grill?
hipster doofez it's the original I painted
Why would honda do this dumb ass shit making so hard just to change a fucking fog light
Good info, get rid off the music....
Nice music
You bought them on eBay?
Someone's a Tiesto fan lol
You'd better have explained instead put music.
You didn't actually show anything being put in the bulb being taken out of all beening replaced you showed how to take off the vendor shroud and that was all. ☹️👎
came here to get info......not to dance

Cut the music out of the video…!
The Techno music was unnecessary.
man that looks like a pain in the ass . cant we just pop the lense and install it ? i own a 2015 touring
***** Would be nice if it were that simple! But this beats paying a dealership or mechanic over a hundred bucks to do something that you can do yourself in less than a half an hour.
Asi no es broo
You don't even show how to remove the bulb. What a waste
Take out this music
music sucks, video sucked.
Show video doesn’t show anything about replacing the light . Maybe you should focus more time on the actual video than the music . 5 mins I will never get back
did you find a way to replace them? this video didnt seem to help mine
Video shows how to gain access to the bulb terminal. Once there, just turn ccw and bulb assy. should pop out.
@@fg4gk Yeah, that's fine but the music is a waste, easier just to narrate and explain what your doing rather than just pointing the camera at something and hope everyone understands that means "this is what you have to work on but figure the rest out for yourself"!
Watched muted! Nice vehicle otherwise.
