The bagpipes were designed to carry a long distance and cut through the noise of the battlefield to encourage people and make them not feel isolated and alone. They were never designed to 'sound pretty'.

@@ibrahimakcay4931 It's something that you can both consciously develop and something you simply get better at the more your play. You can practice relative pitch, quickly notice the intervals in a song, and then play it according to those.

I learned piano when I was very young, but what my piano teacher (who I had for about a year) forgot to actually do was teach me how to read sheet music, so for about 5-6 years I had my sisters show me how to play some pieces and the rest I did by ear and youtube videos. It wasn't until I was in middle school that a music teacher finally taught me how to read sheet music.
