Such fun watching Glen tear into those advents.. He really appreciates good treats!!! Your advent yarns are beautiful!!! Good to see the whole family together again
I was so happy for you when you received your advent in the mail. Your excitement while you opened them was contagious!! Watching Glen open his advent is always entertaining. What a beautiful family you have!❤
If you try feeding your starter with a higher amount of flour to water, it should take off for you! I did that with mine when it was sluggish, and it did the trick. Happy holidays!
Loved watching this one so much! So glad the missing Advent arrived and it is quite beautiful. Glen was soooo funny as he opened his packages. Who knows what tomorrow will bring. Thanks so much for Days 17-18. You really bring joy to the holidays!❤🎄❤
Each Christmas I make Boeuf Bourgogne from an every day food magazine recipe m. It is the perfect Christmas Day stew and easy to prepare. Happy stew making. This issue which I saved is from 2005. That is how long I have been making this for Christmas Day dinner.
Sandy, try using dark rye flour when you feed your starter next at half ratio to your all purpose. I usually feed my starter 50g water (95 degrees F) and then 25g each dark rye flour and all purpose. It will kick start your starter!
I have struggled with my starter for years and she is so strong and happy now! I’m more than happy to help you out if you have any questions! Hope it works! Merry Christmas 🎄
Squeeee!!! So happy you got your dandelion & dogwood calendar! And before Christmas too :) I got this one last year (after seeing yours from the year before) and it is just so beautiful.
I could feel your excitement and was smiling while you revealed your Dandelion and Dogwood Advent Calendar! :) Also I feel chopping the veggies in the chopper would feel so satisfying plus make it easier to make and eat healthy foods, maybe Santa should get me one for the new year! :)
My sour dough is 3 years old. I keep in the fridge and take it to feed it 1-2 days before I want to bake. If I don’t bake for some weeks I always feed it once or twice after 2 weeks. Then it’s back in the fridge. It works for me.
What a wonderful video, we are all at the end(hopefully) of shopping, wrapping and then the fun of the Holidays , the little finishes take so much time, dont they - your day is gone in a blink!! I need to list what I have bought for each person and keep track of- do that always , you can even look back year to year - great lists to keep. I tried the sour dough starter years ago when I had all the family home - before they spread their wings and when you get down to two, or now just me - - no more. Had my quilt group of ladies here on Monday for brunch and it was wonderful, puts me right in the Christmas mood, we also do a fun swap after we eat - my tenth year having this group here, wonderful old friends. On the mugs, I do like a little bigger for my coffee - notice a lot are smaller - the Dandelion & Dogwood advent, wonderful !!! I have a couple of smaller Advent calendars I have been doing, such fun!!! And Glen is such fun - don’t you need that in your life, humor - 😊
For your sourdough starter try adding just a few (less than 1/8 tsp caraway seeds). It will help it bubble. I saw this on the “Our Gabled Home” podcast. It works! She has info about how her mom maintained her sourdough for years. She grew up in Germany & sourdough was always a part of her life. She has lots of great pointers for relaxed maintenance of sourdough. Until I saw that I was paranoid that if I didn’t feed it, etc. it’d die. It’s now less stressful & fun. Anyway, just a thought.
I was at SuperStore tonight, and saw a smallish serving platter with a similar branch pattern (was just an oval plate), and I think I'll have to go back on boxing day to see if they have any left. It actually made me think of you!
Hi Sandy. Love your vlogmas. You have such a quiet soothing voice and demeanor about you. Love that. Can you tell us what brand that food chopper is? I think I need one 😂🎉
Those potatoes look so good! Do you just cut and out them in the air fryer raw?! 380 for 12 min? If so I need to try that. I tried once and they weren’t cooked all the way through and soft.
Laughing out loud with Glen’s shenanigans!! 😂
Too funny! Glad he showed that ornery smile, tells us he's not always Mr. Grumpypants.
😂😂😂😂😂😂 Glenn!!!! He had me laughing out loud.

Omg the grocery store with the cookie jars looked amazing! I would have purchased all the mugs as well! Especially that nutcracker one!

Y'all are great thanks for sharing with us. Glen is hysterical. Merry Christmas y'all
I was laughing so much at Glen I needed a tissue. He’s a riot!
Yes, salted cod which is a tradition for us on Christmas Eve. I soak it for 2 days, then roast it in the oven.
I was at SuperStore tonight, and saw a smallish serving platter with a similar branch pattern (was just an oval plate), and I think I'll have to go back on boxing day to see if they have any left. It actually made me think of you!

That’s how our middle child (son) opens everything. Pure destruction 🤦🏻♀️😄

@@Stitchyrenee yes, I just use the fries button so it’s quite a bit longer than 12 minutes. Whatever the preset is for fries is what I use.
@ oh wonderful, thank you!
Oh Oh....Sugar overload!
Does your husband share all those goodies? 😂😂
He does!
