Just now I saw skeleton leaves making and now coloring then decoupage. Really helpful and creative. Will be doing this with my kids. Let them understand the beauty of nature

Hey can we use any leaves
There are many kinds of leaves which can be used for making skeleton leaves. Here I have used leaves from the Sacred Fig tree (Ficus religiosa). The tree is known as Sacred Fig in India as it is worshiped and grown in Hindu temples.

The leaves are fragile so they can break if handled roughly. Otherwise they can last for many years.

Lovely...can this technique be done for any leaf?
Peepal leaves work the best. They are easiest to work with and will always give you the perfect result. Most of the other type of leaves either get damaged during the process or won't give you the same result as Peepal leaves. But you can definitely experiment with different kind of leaves if you want but remember to choose leaves that are thick with strong vein network.
