RPD is hilarious! Been a huge fan of the "Niche pallet" room lately as well! can seriously greed that until they bloodlust most times 😂 I actually have sanctum of wrath guide done already! here it is! - ruclips.net/video/9QP5yUcXoLE/видео.html
this popped up in my recommended and i cant wait to see the guides for other maps. i have 2k hours but still consider myself really bad at connecting tiles and gaining distance. you went into such detail and i love all the examples provided too. awesome stuff man :)
Thanks mate! I've got 10 done and like 23ish more to go? Counting all the Badhams as 1 since its the same tiles just moved around! Currently working on Torment Creek as we speak and should be able to get them out faster as I have some more time to edit them!
Your guides are an absolute treasure, man. I've been playing casually for quite some time but my looping has been atrocious. Always ends up in a dead zone within 15 sec. Spent the entire weekend binge watching some of your guides and the difference is huge!! Managed to get some compliments for my looping already. Met a Wraith that literally couldnt catch me in that nasty house with a garage in Springwood, haha. Any plans on doing similar guides for killer aswell? Good mind games, what doors to break and not to break, individual gen importance etc.
Hadn't thought about it but could make some guides for these paths as killer! I feel like for killer specific guides I am only qualified to make 2 guides! Doctor and Nemesis! but for generic killer I could make some vids! Also yeah House of pain is hilarious! It actually used to be stronger than it is and there was a stronger version of it on Haddonfield that was taken out for the rework! And hell yeah for not respecting pallets! I always try that, but so many survivors predrop that I end up respecting again, just to lose a match eventually to a greeder that ran me too long, since I was respecting because of all the other predrops! Thanks for the kind words though mate! I am truly glad the guides are helping. Looping the killer is easy for the most part, and shouldn't take 4k hours to know what to do.
@@cameronagha1449 I think they were just trying to get use out of the power! Like "hey a survivor that actually wants to play!" then just plays for fun without having to worry about gens flying That's the best defense for him I've got 😂
As killermain I hate 4k at 5 gens cuz it's boring af cuz there no resistance and I don't receive practice. I waited 10 minutes for this. I would be happy if I were Pinhead cuz I learnt something new from this chase.
Oh man I watched like an hour and a half of the common and main loops and then used an RPD offering and took the killer on the CRAZIEST chase I've ever had. My team got 3 gens done and the killer rage quit in EGC. I usually survive like 15 seconds haha. Thank you!
This is GREAT to hear! Looping really is simple and easy to pick up and shouldn't take thousands of hours to be confident in most scenarios! And no problem!
I never would have thought to loop the area just above the lobby pallet rather than focusing on looping that pallet itself. It feels like I'm watching actual secrets here. This is the second time I've found myself on this channel and I think now I'm going to be taking a closer look at all of your content. Straightforward, useful, no needless commentary. Just good info and clear examples. I love it.
There's a lot of loops in the game like that big and small! Another really fun one is the fence on Eyrie of the Crows! You loop around the big fence a few times and there will always be a pallet spawn at one side or the other, and once the killer is finally close enough you cut to the pallet and make a play there! That one is extra funny because if you leave the pallet and cut back to the fence while the killer is mindgaming themself, you can reset and make the killer do a few more loops around the fence and cut back to that same pallet again! Also thanks for the kind words mate I appreciate ya! Got TONS more of these guides on the way! Just about to get back into the longer guides again and see how many of these I can get done before next summer!
Love it when teacher drops a new guide for me to study lol. Seriously though these guides have been so helpful, not only I am constantly getting better at looping being chased overall is just more enjoyable now that I have much better map knowledge and am not just running around like a headless chicken dropping every pallet in sight out of panic. I have had some really funny chases on Garden of Joy around the car park and house tiles lol.
thank you so much! I remember being new at the game and hearing about how survivor sided Haddonfield was, and just having no idea how take advantage of that. Once noticing what was strong there, just started noticing there was strong stuff on almost every map! And once you have a plan, getting tunneled really stops being annoying and starts being funny! I feel like in general map knowledge would just help everybody have more fun!
@@Mr_TatorHead I must have spent hundreds of hours not realising how strong certain maps are because I was always ran stealth builds trying to be sneaky and avoid the killer lol, tunnelling does still annoy me although not nearly as much as it did before. I will gladly get tunnelled by a Wesker though just so I can window juke him and make him vault lmao.
Those stairs are hilarious! Theres another smaller tile that can appear in Hawkins like this as well! That one is fucking hilarious too! It's not guaranteed though sadly
Before finding these guides I mainly only played killer, only ever switching to survivor for archives or rituals. These guides have made me come to appreciate the survivor side of gameplay which I once saw as simply boring gen work, your content has singlehandedly given me an interest in half of the game which I was just missing out on. I cannot thank you enough for these amazing guides, they've helped me improve immensely since I've found them awhile back. I usually don't click the bell, but with such quality you've earned it.
Survivor is way more fun when you play it like freeze tag! Also thank you so much for the kind words mate! I am not even remotely joking when I say this is the biggest compliment my vids have received. I TRULY appreciate it!
Came here from KillaWhale’s shoutout, and I wanted to say that your way of teaching is absolutely incredible. You don’t just say “do this thing,” you explain *why* you shouldn’t do the other thing, and then showed examples. The clip of the Niche Pallet literally blew my mind. I’ve never once considered running the long way around that pallet. I’ve always seen it as a shitty filler. It seems so obvious, but nobody ever runs it like that. Amazing stuff
Thank you so much for the kind words mate! I wish I could properly express how much I appreciate them! KillaWhales video was one of the nicest things anyones ever done for me and I hope I can get him back somehow one day! There's a decent chunk of little niche pallets like that! Hawkins use to have a TON in those hallways where the pallet looked completely pointless but as a predrop you'd get value, since the killer never would break those pallets before except for bp in an unimportant time after chase. Especially since most people would play those pallets like a shitty filler pallet! There are shitty filler pallets for sure though! That one in the room with all the safes is like the worst pallet in dbd. Although it does become a really fun pallet to run to in games where the killer is getting rushed and just camp the pallet moving slightly either way to see how many times you can get them to respect before they finally m1 ya! And since you are so far ahead on gens you can literally sit there with 0 intention of throwing the pallet just to see how much time you can buy. If you are full health you can pretty much just do that at anytime since it is right in the middle of the main loop!
@@Mr_TatorHead All of that is really good info to know, I’ll try to keep that in mind! Sadako is my killer main, and that filler pallet in the locker room might be my favorite on that map for her. If you time it just right, you can manifest while you’re still invisible from flickering, and end up making the survivor commit to one side because they can’t see you double back. I’m hyperaware of that when I play survivor!
YESS!! I’ve been so excited for this ❤ i alwayys see ppl not even looping escalators they just camp the god pallet or something it’s such an easy and fun loop!! Learned so much from this one I appreciate you Tator!!
@@MuHDogan Am going to do 2 easy ones next, and am hoping to get them both out within the next 2 weeks. I am doing Torment Creek next, then Ironworks of Misery. I need to get some of the coldwind/macmillan ones out of the way since there are many, and they share tiles. After those 2, I am planning on Father Campbells Chapel, then Sanctum of Wrath. I know people want Midwich next, but the indoor maps take way longer to do since there is not much RNG to them, so every corner of the map has to be gone over. So I will be saving Midwich for probably about 10(ish) guides down the road!
Really looking forward to the next map work. These have helped so much especially after all of the nerfs to survivor the last few patches. Thanks so much for all the guides.
No Problem! I am working on Torment Creek as we speak! Doing Ironworks after that because I want to get some of the Coldwind/Macmillan maps out of the way since there are 5 of each! Those are easier guides to make as well and wanted to do a couple "quicker" ones before taking on another longer project like Midwich!
@@Mr_TatorHead might be a weird question and forgive me if it comes across as such but have you ever thought about doing some custom games with some of us beginners if we threw ya some cash via PayPal or something? The learning curve on this game is so insane from both sides and having these looping patterns really helps beginners and even long term players. Just a thought boss. Thanks so much again for the awesome content.
@@Nomasis1982 When I'm a full-time content creator (currently working toward that) I totally would! Right now its just hard trying to find the time between bartending (to pay rent lol), editing and actually playing the games! This would be a great idea for rewards as well though! I used to put on tap shoes and do a tap step when people would Subscribe on twitch, but recently hurt my foot and haven't been able to do that, so I had been offering to let them pick my killer/survivor (whichever I was playing) for the next game but would love to offer more things like going over a map in a custom! But this would also need me to have a more consistent schedule which is a HUGE reason I would love to do this full time instead of working everything around...well, work lol! Long story short, I will absolutely consider doing this!
@@Mr_TatorHead if things ever slow down I know a few people that would totally hit you up. Having an hour or two of your time for some coaching tips would be amazing. Best wishes on healing up boss.
Thanks for including all the examples, especially the chases that weren't necessarily "won". Getting from one loop to the next without taking a hit is something I struggle with and you show which directions should be considered, and more importantly which directions shouldn't be.
No problem! In these longer videos theres the freedom to put in every single example I have just for science pretty much! But that's also why the shorter versions pretty much became necessary because these long ones are just getting longer and longer! But it doesn't really tell the full story unless all the examples are used so gotta do a longer one, like this, for every map!
Im having a hard time putting it into words, but none of my killer friends want to loop me on any map youve made a guide for! so yeah thanks a ton these are so well made and my friends with 10x the hours cant hit me haha
Hey bro I just found you out from a friend as I was explaining to him I've been playing without perks for 2 years now. And I lowkey thought I was the only one. But now I know there's a legend like you doing it for longer than me as I started doing around 2021 October I'd say.
Hell yeah brother! If you are playing on Steam there is actual leaderboards! But you have to make your stats public! It tracks steam stats, and that is what people use to claim they are like #1 Huntress in the world (hatchets thrown achievement). Steam never stops tracking achievements after you get them so someone made a leaderboard! Because of the "power moves" achievement there is technically a no perk leaderboard! (finish one gen and escape with no perks equipped). Now it's obviously not the most complete leaderboard, and people can keep their stats hidden (the world #2 guy actually hid his stats after we all knew him lol) and it does not include console sadly, but it is still a fun contribution to the community in terms of stats!
I'm pretty late to the party here so I doubt you'll see this. I put some of what was said here into practice and my lord does it work! The killer stopped following me after I looped the "ESCALATORS!" twice and then looped the underside route back to the "ESCALATORS!" then did the long loop around the reception desk until I got the pallet stun. My team popped 2 gens in the meantime! You're totally correct that anyone can loop and that it's not hard to do but, I do have to say, you're cracked at actually teaching how to play the game. Most people don't go beyond "loop tightly". You give the reason why and demonstrate the how. Thanks for the videos man.
This is GREAT to hear! These are definitely the type of comments I use to peer pressure into people trying out dbd! So many people would love playing dbd but don't want to give survivor a try because it looks "too sweaty" or "take too long to learn" which the latter is definitely true if just learning by trial and error but it's the only game I have ever played where you can tell someone where to go and that's literally the difference between being "cracked" or being "noob" 😂 Also I appreciate the kind words mate! I reply to every comment! Replies can get away from me since there is no dedicated spot for replies in the creator dashboard, and the notifications both misses things, and includes everything from comments, to replies, to replies to your comments on other videos, and everything else! But I do make sure to get to all the comments!
RPD is SO MUCH FUN! Crap is my favorite map! There are a few things I do differently since making this video but they are all just expansions on these methods, and I can make them into individual tip videos like the "Scooby Doo Hallway"! In this video it is the "niche pallet" but the only difference in the methods is just running across the hall and combining the 2 rooms!
Really good guide, but I do have 3 notes that I think could help loop this map even better. 1. If you're taking the East Side fire escape vault by the outside entrance (that always spawns) you should stop pressing forward the moment you vault if you're going to double back into the broken room. It saves you a small amount of distance, and every small amount matters. (Do not do this with the rooftop vault on the East Side because the hook spawn will be in your way if you do, holding forward there gives you the distance around the hook spawn.) 2. On RPD East the safety deposit room pallet can be extra unsafe. If it spawns on the outside (not next to the crumbled wall) and you're on the inside of it the killer can moonwalk it and hit you with you getting 0 warning. I typically play killer and I think Ive had 2 survivors ever avoid getting hit there. 3. On RPD East there is an optional pallet by the roof that didn't get covered. It's not a super strong pallet, but it's one that killers don't always remember exists. It's by the crashed helicopter where if you follow the hallway theres a small niche. Its a terrible spot to go to intentionally, but it's worth remembering for times you have no other options. (I'm 90% certain it spawns there every time you only get 1 pallet on the roof proper.) I really enjoyed the guide, I think RPD is my favorite map for killer and for survivor. (It definitely is for killer, but some survivors struggle hard on it.) Hopefully your guide helps them!
This is some in depth notes! 1 - The amount of times I have watched my weight going forward thinking "I really wish we could medium vault here and not lose distance" and literally just didn't consider this as an option! This is great! 2- I forgot to bring this up :( This is like the main reason I don't run over there often (and why i had like no clips of that area) 3- This pallet I remembered halfway through uploading this and said outloud to myself "Fuck it that pallet sucks" 😂 obviously there is some time to be stalled on that one, and it is not the most unsafe pallet in the world, but I am just never a fan of cornering myself. I have to thank you for watching this whole video! The notes you brought would have genuinely helped and that is saying something after such a long video. A lot of times you will get criticisms of guides with notes that were included, but the person just didn't make it far enough in the guide to see it. That was definitely not the case here! I truly appreciate it!
I wish! Solo queue is loads of fun but what most people consider wins is definitely the minority! The amount of times being caught out of position while looking for someone to heal me is astonishing! prob the toughest part about solo queue honestly 😂
2:15:57 he can shoot downstairs. That’s why basement is really good for him. He can’t shoot upstairs it’ll go thru the stairs and hit people behind the stairs!!
And the scooby doo hallway! Been connecting the Niche pallet with the pallet across the hall and that's become my favorite loop in all of dbd! This loop here - ruclips.net/video/RkXw5FhkMF0/видео.html
I can not think him enough his video was one of the nicest things any one has ever done for me! and thanks mate! Should have Badham's guide out this weekend and Midwich coming after that!
i really hope you read this comment, your videos are absolutely hilarious the escalators eels game in the beginning was hilarious I hope you get more views eventually bro!!
Thanks mate! I can't tell you how much comments like this mean to me and how much I appreciate them! This game is hilarious and I def don't try to be in education mode when I'm playing so I'm a little scared me screaming into the mic when a greeded pallet works will be distracting. I just want others to have as much fun playing this game as I do!
West window @44:20 I can't tell you how many times I have run to vault that window and stopped to cleanses the totem instead. It's funny because about 70% of the killers know what happened and will actually stop chase to give me a chance.
This is GREAT mate! 4k hours has always been sort of the standard to be able to have at least some type of plan in pretty much every scenario, but that's everyone learning by trial and error! Theres nothing really mechanically hard about looping its just knowing the right circles to run in and where to stop! Been telling people they can do anything I ever do and probably better than I can tbh!
Escalators are HILARIOUS!!! The niche pallet is a hilarious pallet as well! And if you get the pallet in the side room next to the front desk, you can greed the front desk and make it to the long pallet, greed that and make it to the side room, greed that and make it back to the front desk! Call it a home run 😂
@@Mr_TatorHead I already know I commented on this video but I just have to express my absolute gratitude to this video. I have been putting in so many Rpd offerings just so I can play this map it’s just too good thank you so much
@@Mr_Bush No problem! Always good to have those maps that you know you are going to have a great time playing from the second you load in! Then you get looking for random rng that makes it even more exciting and it just gets even more hilarious!
@@Mr_TatorHead I also watched the shorter dead dawg saloon video of the main loop and that made the map way better for me too. I’m currently watching the eyrie of crows looping guide to learn that map better and get better at the loops.
Idk what it is about old nintendo music but it is just the best! They made simpler tunes that were ALWAYS melodic! Not much video game music that comes out nowadays is melodic despite having a full orchestra playing 😂
@@Mr_TatorHead 😅 well, somehow I, when I was two, deleted my mother's game save after the shadow temple, and started playing when I was four. Beat the game in a year & a half total time.

I didn’t mind the last season conpared to what other people thought about it 😂
rpd is the best! Always been one of my favorites but running the "niche" pallet together with the pallet across the hall to make the "scooby doo hallway" made this map my favorite in the game! Finally overtook Saloon!
No Problem! and if you don't think you can safely make a pallet or window, its always best to greed/juke! Nothing worse than losing a pallet and taking a hit!
17:28 i disagree tbh, i think you can virtually guarantee an escape if youre healthy by faking that window until the killer hard commits to the inside and even if you react too late, you take a hit while vaulting and run left and no killer has enough time to catch up after being trapped in that room
I had not been in this situation and had not considered like a scenario where they are doing the gen by the stairs and you go in there to buy enough time just to purposely take a hit and pull them back to the main loop with a great head start!
2:33:33. yes this pallet is optional. Either you get that pallet or you get the other pallet. You see at 2:39:02 the pallet splitters on the floor. Someone threw it already but it’s either this one or the other but both are god pallets and one of them will always spawn downstairs there and it’s pretty good nobody ever runs there but it’s sooo good.
2:26:22 nah you’re running it the wrong way. I love that tile so much that’s why I like east better. You have to connect this cornered room with the Window you jump at 17:03. that’s how to connect these two tiles and you can even connect that to the window you jump 17:25. you say we should avoid it but honestly everytime take it I get value bc it’s a pretty save window. But even if that not you have to combine the „cornered room“ with the „broken wall room“ and you have a very good loop. You just can’t count on the cornered room being there unfortunately.
The problem with me is I cant get out of that cornered room once I have vaulted in there. I always end up in that pickle juking the window going back and forth :(
@@Mr_TatorHead have to look around the doorway. Look at 2:28:42. You just stand in the room. Look around the doorway. Which is funny is if I see killers moonwalking towards me. If a killer moonwalks they commit 99% of the times otherwise they wouldn’t moonwalk. If they don’t moonwalk you can see their red stain and vault when they are close enough. In my experience if I vault that window right when I see the killers red stain clearly but the killer doubles back at the exact same time I can still run to the broken wall room window bc killers will think that I’ll double vault or that I’ll still be in that room. So either way it works for me. The only thing you have to do is LOOK AROUND THAT DOORWAY. Like you’re just looking kinda through the doorway but you gotta look around it!! Like at 2:27:44. Don’t stand in the doorway but look around it like you did there.
Loving your videos. Wondering if instead of running no perks at all you'd be open to running a build that passively helps your teammates with no benefits to yourself. Something like Open Handed, Better than New, Corrective Action, Leader. That would provide no direct benefits to yourself, but would help your teammates out a bit.
Was considering to spend the bp and start running perks when I have a looping guide out for every map! was considering only doing perks on killer but comments like these have me considering survivor as well!
@@Mr_TatorHeadthe problem is that by helping your teammates you inadvertently and indirectly help yourself. Plus running with no perks inspires everyone that DOES run perks to be better at loping and let go of any excuses.
It would be if it spawned on the other side, and the doors were on the same side. Unfortunately the pallet spawns on the far wall, so you actually have to go out of your way to try to use it. If it was West RPD it could work in theory using the outside, but once again you sacrifice the distance made since the doorway is on the wrong side of the room for you to capitalize the distance gained. Although even if they moved the door to make that possible, I do not think the distance gained would be enough to make a loop out of it. This pallet kinda just sucks for viability, but is like the most fun mind games you can have on survivor as it currently stands!
I usually take a single tip from further in the video and place it with one example in the beginning! Doing these intros were sort of what gave me the idea of doing shorter guide videos with one single tip! I do aplogize for the wait for the explanation but I do have it in chapters to make skipping around easier! Problem is with the guides getting longer and more in depth there ends up being like 50 chapters 😂
No problem! I'm sorry I haven't put out any new guides recently, but I'm a Bartender and the holiday season was nuts! I will be moving at the end of the month (and I hope to put Eyrie guide out by then!) and after that, I will have a bit more time to make some more map guides! I will get them all done eventually!
this map is hilarious! Has one of my favorite tiles in the entire game still in the "niche pallet" room! That shit is hilarious how many times you can run in that same circle greeding the pallet! 😂
@@Mr_TatorHead that's so true! It's definitely an underrated map. From a killers POV There's some spots if played right you can catch survivors off guard. There's a particular room if you hook a survivor in(playing as Trapper), you can literally place 2 traps down cuz theres only 2 ways to enter or leave that room and no matter what you'll catch someone. (Sorry I'm not the best at explaining things lol) I might make a video about it so it's easier to understand. 😅
@@Chism8969 I know exactly which room you mean if you get a hook there! That's actually also why they widened the doorways to the room next to the bottom floor gen in the main room!
@@Chism8969 Nemesis is pretty great here too tbh! Doctor slaps as well here! Thats the funny thing about playing killer, every killer has like 3 maps theyre almost OP on, and every other map is an eyes roll on a scale of 1-10!
Maybe I just need to watch one of these guides all the way through but it seems like I watch the first hour and every pallet is unplayable and you only want to drop it so you can go to the next pallet because if you play it you'll die. Would it be better to start with what the strong pallets are on maps instead of starting outdoors and saying you will die out here? (though I will say we start showing stronger pallets at 46 and onwards. Would be better if we showed those earlier, I think. I know we're trying to connect the map together but I feel like most videos start with "these first 6 tiles suck ass, just drop the pallet and run away")
Those are all just the individual breakdowns of all the worst pallets! I usually go over all the common tiles first but since there are none on this map, I started with the pallets and worked my way up! The problem with starting with the more in depth parts is they incorporate some of those pallets! And if I hadn't gone over that pallet already it can feel a bit blindsiding since now here is this unmentioned pallet out of nowhere being incorporated into a main loop that is trying to be learned! I want the pallet to be familiar before going in depth about chaining tiles and where to run, especially because some of the pallets are RNG, where if it doesn't spawn in one spot it is guaranteed to spawn in another spot (like the locker room pallets), and it feels like that is way too much to explain at once to be in the middle of explaining the main loop, just to pause and explain the possible pallet spawns. If those are already known, it makes explaining the important loops a much smoother process! It is the reason I put these in chapters! I do need to be more specific with the chapter names since there are so many chapters. I can start putting MAIN LOOP or STRONGEST LOOP or FUNNIEST LOOP in all caps to make it jump out more as a more important loop! I think I have been doing that for most of the videos, but I'm sure I missed a few as well! All of this is exactly why I am breaking these down into shorter guides though! If the shorter video can only have a few examples of chase (more would make the video too long), I love to have the accompanying full map guide to refer to, when the inevitable comments of "THIS WONT WORK IN CHASE" come in, so I can immediately have a reference with many more examples of it working, and being run differently against the many different killers power!
@@Mr_TatorHead I found the shorter videos a lot better for sure. I know what you mean, and you're right, but I think the ordering could have been different. Instead of starting at stairs and then going outside, maybe it would be better to start main pallet -> west window vault loop->lockers->shitty pallet->library instead of doing escalator->outside (bad)->Window vault (bad)->upstairs (bad). This isn't something just in this guide too, this is something that happened in the first hour for 3 guides I watched. It makes it very "you have to be here for the whole time to learn the good stuff." I think waiting 1 hour into videos to get to "these are the playable tiles" is a bit too long.
Thats why I have them in the labeled chapters! I don't expect anyone to sit and intake hours worth of info especially with how meaty these are since all the fluff has been edited out! If they want to skip to the stronger parts that's exactly what those chapters are for, but I do not think starting off with the strongest loops, that incorporate other tiles, then working to how to run those other tiles that should already have been known about to be included in the strongest loops, is the right way to teach. That's teaching more advanced tactics then proceeding to the fundamentals that should have already been covered, which is just backwards in my opinion. its like "Heres this main loop that incorporates 4 different possible pallets that I haven't discussed yet" and that simply won't work.
Hey! Two things. I've always wondered why you don't run any perks? I'm sure you've been asked this a bunch of times so I'm sorry if it's annoying! Also what would you run on survivor if you did run perks?
I don't use perks anymore because of dealing with issues with percs irl in 2020. Had been on a no perk challenge for a little bit then went no percs irl and kept them both goin. Was completely sober for about 14 months and now smoke weed for medication. and the builds would be a bunch of different builds for different scenarios. solo anti-sweat - unbreakable, adrenaline, resilience, deliverence overall looping - urban evasion, self aware, resilience, deception (or dance with me. Windows of opportunity if you don't know the maps) Solo most fun - wire tap, blast mine, open handed, red herring solo team build - kindred, we'll make it, botany knowledge (or leader, or desperate measures), prove thyself Theres much more builds for different scenarios but those are just some good ones!
@@Mr_TatorHead thank you so much for the information, well I'm proud of you, I love to hear people improving their lives and overcoming hardship. I only got to provide one correction, open-handed doesn't affect wiretap sadly.
@@Mr_TatorHeadthe idea of playing dbd perk less coming from you going sober from percs is not only hilarious but also bad ass. I had a best friend pass from percs, so good job bro. Enjoy sobriety

It's so infuriating to see when the killer gets the hit before you you vault! This makes me so angry!!!! The survivor's hit box It's too fůcking big, they should make it smaller 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
Its just what feels like the double standard! Huge hitboxes when you are playing surv but getting +5 wood on the vault when the surv is still vaulting while playing killer!
Not to rpd! The only change I can think of is they made the doorway to the side room next to the main room generator on the bottom floor by the desk a little wider, so that trapper couldn't block all the entrances to that room with traps! but it still runs the same!
Hell yeah! I'm almost done working on Torment Creek, then Ironworks will be next (I have already started on that as well) and then I haven't decided, so I can put this to the top after those 2!
@@Mr_TatorHead I know how to run pretty much any loop in the game but I just can't find thompson house being useful so I gotta look for advice from my goat😤
@@connor1252 That building is not the most useful tbh! there is the window down low, that gets 1 vault until the killer breaks the door, and the upstairs window with the same scenario. The only consistent option is the upstairs window that drops down to the down stairs. but you gotta be really patient and not vault early! you basically want to force the killer to vault upstairs and give them no option to double back down stairs. The 2 corners of the map are actually more consistent! There are almost always chainable tiles there! (OPness) got lots of highlights of the different setups you can get there!
They better not ever nerf Nurse either! Nurse is the counter to the swfs where every player knows how to loop and tests the swfs coordination and efficiency!
go for the cycle! It's hilarious! Greed the pallet to the window to the long pallet greed to the L table pallet greed if its there and suddenly your back at front desk again! I guess it's more of a Home Run than a Cycle 😂
Some of the clips used may have been! The examples for this video were from about a years worth of highlighting matches! I don't use offerings or anything so the matches were just entering solo queue and highlight the most of the matches no matter what map was played! I figured that would be the most natural way to make map guides instead of using map offerings with the purpose of getting value off of a specific tile. This way the examples come from the typical solo queue experience! If I did get a "male privilege" vault I am more than sure that I pointed it out! Probably said something like "male privilege fault omg wasn't that so fair and balanced?" 🤣 None of the strats used in these videos have been affected by any nerfs or reworks! And once a map is, I would be more than happy to make a follow up video for it! Coal Tower (my most recent guide) actually had something like that! They are nerfing "drop vaults" in a week! Which is great since they have been in the game for years and imo wasn't fair and balanced! I used them in the video since the strats on those windows will not change from the nerf, and would benefit giving people 2 weeks of fun before it did get nerfed! Things like the docks on pale rose will be affected greatly, and I have not made that video yet, but I did not mention the drop vaulting in Grim Pantry's docks (same docks setup possibilities), since I suspected it would be taken out one day!
That was the point! I don't really like the distracting editing too much especially with educational stuff so I promise none of the rest of that is like that! It is edited but no goofy sound effects or quick zooms or anything just no fluff! But every now and then it is fun to overindulge 😂
@@Mr_TatorHead Yeah the edits are cool though, for me I think it might've just been 1 too many "escalator" for my taste xD But I had a laugh with the first few! And for the rest of the video, its really educational and great! Learned a bit from u :3
Yup that's my friend YaboiMLT on twitch! Before I owned dbd on the Nintendo Switch as well he would stand afk in the corner while I ran around the map running my yap!
It was between This one (rpd) and Midwich! I am going to be doing a few other guides before getting to Midwich tho! The indoor maps take me much longer to make so I am going to "take a break" from the hard guides and do a few easy ones like Torment Creek (which I have already started on) and Ironworks! I needed to start getting some of the Coldwind and Macmillan maps out of the way since there are 5 of each! I am not trying to discourage tho! I will definitely be doing midwich! but that one will probably be out around late July/August!
RPD was one of my favorite maps, but this guide and the ESCALATOOORS is gonna make it 10x better! Sanctum of Wrath next? 👀
RPD is hilarious! Been a huge fan of the "Niche pallet" room lately as well! can seriously greed that until they bloodlust most times 😂

Start off with dead dog main is broken
Your guides are an absolute treasure, man. I've been playing casually for quite some time but my looping has been atrocious. Always ends up in a dead zone within 15 sec. Spent the entire weekend binge watching some of your guides and the difference is huge!! Managed to get some compliments for my looping already. Met a Wraith that literally couldnt catch me in that nasty house with a garage in Springwood, haha. Any plans on doing similar guides for killer aswell? Good mind games, what doors to break and not to break, individual gen importance etc.
And I should add that I will never respect a single pallet as killer again! 😂 Can't risk getting juiced.
@@Mr_TatorHead Awesome! Looking forward to it. Thanks again for the top content!
That Pinhead must have been so mad.
Right?! Commit to the only survivor that actually wants to play the game in that lobby and the entity gives him hatch 😂
That pinhead was so bad lmfao
@@cameronagha1449 I think they were just trying to get use out of the power! Like "hey a survivor that actually wants to play!" then just plays for fun without having to worry about gens flying
That's the best defense for him I've got 😂
Eels and Escalators had me dying. There truly is a spongebob meme for everything.
Those stairs are hilarious! Theres another smaller tile that can appear in Hawkins like this as well! That one is fucking hilarious too! It's not guaranteed though sadly
Even better was the "who u call a pinhead" from patrick😂

The rare anti-loop sadako user! Shit really throws survs off but not many sadakos do that!@@lenacarey2333

Amazing content! All other pathing / looping guides miss the real examples, awesome!

So many people would love playing dbd but don't want to give survivor a try because it looks "too sweaty" or "take too long to learn" which the latter is definitely true if just learning by trial and error but it's the only game I have ever played where you can tell someone where to go and that's literally the difference between being "cracked" or being "noob" 😂
Also I appreciate the kind words mate! I reply to every comment! Replies can get away from me since there is no dedicated spot for replies in the creator dashboard, and the notifications both misses things, and includes everything from comments, to replies, to replies to your comments on other videos, and everything else! But I do make sure to get to all the comments!
RPD has been one of the guides I've been looking forward to! Excited to watch as always 😁🎉

@@gunnah5687 Am working on Torment Creek as we speak!
@@Mr_TatorHead Awesome, you seriously need more recognition for what you do man, it’s so helpful and great
Really good guide, but I do have 3 notes that I think could help loop this map even better.
1. If you're taking the East Side fire escape vault by the outside entrance (that always spawns) you should stop pressing forward the moment you vault if you're going to double back into the broken room. It saves you a small amount of distance, and every small amount matters. (Do not do this with the rooftop vault on the East Side because the hook spawn will be in your way if you do, holding forward there gives you the distance around the hook spawn.)
(I'm 90% certain it spawns there every time you only get 1 pallet on the roof proper.)
I really enjoyed the guide, I think RPD is my favorite map for killer and for survivor.
2- I forgot to bring this up :( This is like the main reason I don't run over there often (and why i had like no clips of that area)
3- This pallet I remembered halfway through uploading this and said outloud to myself "Fuck it that pallet sucks" 😂 obviously there is some time to be stalled on that one, and it is not the most unsafe pallet in the world, but I am just never a fan of cornering myself.
I have to thank you for watching this whole video! The notes you brought would have genuinely helped and that is saying something after such a long video. A lot of times you will get criticisms of guides with notes that were included, but the person just didn't make it far enough in the guide to see it. That was definitely not the case here! I truly appreciate it!
pro tip: If your playing against someone named "no perks since 2020" you've already lost
I wish! Solo queue is loads of fun but what most people consider wins is definitely the minority! The amount of times being caught out of position while looking for someone to heal me is astonishing! prob the toughest part about solo queue honestly 😂

Watched the whole thing next time i get rpd ima do a 5 gen chase lol
don't forget to scream ESCALATORS every time you run down the stairs!
2:33:33. yes this pallet is optional.
I just hate throwing pallets in general so I try to avoid that area 😂 It's all about them windows!
What a masterpiece.
I appreciate the kind words mate! hoping to have a guide like this for every map by sometime next year!
Might be a little bit late but I think RPD is one of these maps that is heavily stronger if played with balanced landing.
There are a LOT of maps that are stronger with balanced landing now that I think about it! I only really ever thought about Eyrie and Haddonfield 😂
love you! thx a lot for your help and dedication!
No problem! if only I could get these vids out faster 😂
is that looping guide disclaimer at 4:30 AI?
Nope that's me! I call that "begging for subs" when I'm editing the guides down 😂
@@Mr_TatorHead oh .-.
@@glyveozone7303 Yep sorry mate! I'm just a bad actor! Well in this case it's more a "line deliverer" 😂
Plus running with no perks inspires everyone that DOES run perks
to be better at loping and let go of any excuses.
I like how his man talks about not doing the courtyard gen on RPD. But at 14 minutes and 17 seconds what do you think happened? 😂
Yeah I'm a dumbass 😂
@7:54 window faked so hard you crossed me out of bed. Wtf. Lmaoooo
Was def one of those times where everything just seemed to go the right way 😂
The pointless pallet. Isn't it possible to loop using the hallway wall?
It would be if it spawned on the other side, and the doors were on the same side. Unfortunately the pallet spawns on the far wall, so you actually have to go out of your way to try to use it. If it was West RPD it could work in theory using the outside, but once again you sacrifice the distance made since the doorway is on the wrong side of the room for you to capitalize the distance gained. Although even if they moved the door to make that possible, I do not think the distance gained would be enough to make a loop out of it. This pallet kinda just sucks for viability, but is like the most fun mind games you can have on survivor as it currently stands!
Great guide, thanks!!
My only criticism is you referenced "escalators" for an hour and a half before ACTUALLY explaining what you meant by it.
Imagine the pinhead was just trying to do his adept
That would have been HILARIOUS 😂
Wow, I didn't know that Mark Hamill now plays Dead by Daylight
Waiting on my force powers to transfer then I'll be OP!
lol this is what *real* survivor mains look like.
When they don't use perks, yep! 😂
that's an adorable looking man.
Thanks mate! I may disagree but I appreciate the compliment!
Sooo useful! Thx u so much ❤
No problem! I'm sorry I haven't put out any new guides recently, but I'm a Bartender and the holiday season was nuts! I will be moving at the end of the month (and I hope to put Eyrie guide out by then!) and after that, I will have a bit more time to make some more map guides! I will get them all done eventually!
Thank you I watch later
No Problem!
A lot of people hate RPD. I actually really enjoy this map. It helps that I main Pyramid Head! Lol
this map is hilarious!
@@Mr_TatorHead Oh I had no idea that they changed that! I know a lot of killers hate playing on RPD. Pyramid Head or Nurse is a good counter though!
@@Chism8969 Nemesis is pretty great here too tbh! Doctor slaps as well here! Thats the funny thing about playing killer, every killer has like 3 maps theyre almost OP on, and every other map is an eyes roll on a scale of 1-10!
At 1:05:39 there is a crack in the green locker. I wonder if you can have that as a check spot.
I have never noticed you can see through those! That would slightly help but consistently! and every little bit helps!
The fact that barely any generators proc while this man is getting chased really says something about survivors these days 😂
It's actually why I love solo queue! Super long chases aint possible if the gens get done and the game ends!
@@Mr_TatorHead Very true! Still working on my chase skills, but getting better at chaining tiles.
ESCALATORS
😂
Was completely sober for about 14 months and now smoke weed for medication.
and the builds would be a bunch of different builds for different scenarios.
solo anti-sweat - unbreakable, adrenaline, resilience, deliverence
overall looping - urban evasion, self aware, resilience, deception (or dance with me. Windows of opportunity if you don't know the maps)
Solo most fun - wire tap, blast mine, open handed, red herring
solo team build - kindred, we'll make it, botany knowledge (or leader, or desperate measures), prove thyself
Theres much more builds for different scenarios but those are just some good ones!
How are you getting into the maps and are able to practice on these maps
For this one I had a friend YaboiMLT sitting in afk while I ran my mouth! Recently dbd went on sale on the switch and I can load up on the switch as killer while running my mouth as survivor! I wish there was an easier way but there isnt currently :(
KillaWhake got me here
His video was one of the nicest things anyone has ever done for me. It was incredibly selfless of him to got tell people to go watch somebody else! I definitely hope to be able to repay him somehow one day!
Any changes since this video has been uploaded?
Not to rpd! The only change I can think of is they made the doorway to the side room next to the main room generator on the bottom floor by the desk a little wider, so that trapper couldn't block all the entrances to that room with traps! but it still runs the same!
Vibes
can you make a guide on thompson house main building?
Hell yeah! I'm almost done working on Torment Creek, then Ironworks will be next (I have already started on that as well) and then I haven't decided, so I can put this to the top after those 2!
@@Mr_TatorHead HELLZ YEAH
It's crazy how when playing nurse main all this loop stuff is irrelevant. Thank goodness.
They better not ever nerf Nurse either! Nurse is the counter to the swfs where every player knows how to loop and tests the swfs coordination and efficiency!
I also always thought that front dest was a 50 50
go for the cycle! It's hilarious! Greed the pallet to the window to the long pallet greed to the L table pallet greed if its there and suddenly your back at front desk again! I guess it's more of a Home Run than a Cycle 😂
Weren't the vaulting broken during this time?
Some of the clips used may have been! The examples for this video were from about a years worth of highlighting matches! I don't use offerings or anything so the matches were just entering solo queue and highlight the most of the matches no matter what map was played! I figured that would be the most natural way to make map guides instead of using map offerings with the purpose of getting value off of a specific tile. This way the examples come from the typical solo queue experience!
If I did get a "male privilege" vault I am more than sure that I pointed it out! Probably said something like "male privilege fault omg wasn't that so fair and balanced?" 🤣
None of the strats used in these videos have been affected by any nerfs or reworks!
Ormond guide when? 😉
Am thinking like 3 down the line. Going to do Torment Creek, Ironworks, Sanctum of wrath, and then yeah maybe ormond!
The escalators are almost unbeatable with blood pact
My dude brought up scrubs. Lol
One of the goat shows!
The beginning is a little bit too overedited with the same edits in my opinion, makes it hard to watch. But that was an insane chase holy!
That was the point! I don't really like the distracting editing too much especially with educational stuff so I promise none of the rest of that is like that! It is edited but no goofy sound effects or quick zooms or anything just no fluff! But every now and then it is fun to overindulge 😂
@@Mr_TatorHead Yeah the edits are cool though, for me I think it might've just been 1 too many "escalator" for my taste xD
But I had a laugh with the first few!
And for the rest of the video, its really educational and great! Learned a bit from u :3
IM NOT TRIPPING AT 8:22 AND A LITTLE BIT EARLIER THERE IS WRAITH STANDING THERE IN A CORNER CLOAKED

hey
the end
totally a pro tip play resident evil 2 remake and get abused in that game RPD will instead become a loop field instead of being a full maze in dbd X_X
Never gotten to play most of the resident evils unfortunately!
Elementary school plsss thank you so muchhh❤❤
It was between This one (rpd) and Midwich! I am going to be doing a few other guides before getting to Midwich tho! The indoor maps take me much longer to make so I am going to "take a break" from the hard guides and do a few easy ones like Torment Creek (which I have already started on) and Ironworks! I needed to start getting some of the Coldwind and Macmillan maps out of the way since there are 5 of each!
I am not trying to discourage tho! I will definitely be doing midwich! but that one will probably be out around late July/August!
ESCALATORS!!! 😂😂🤣
"ESS KEE LAY TOURS!!!"
What is he talking about escalators, those are just stairs, i dont get it.
They are stairs! It was just a reference to a spongebob squarepants episode! It's been an inside joke going up and down those stairs!
