This is lovely, It's great to see this lighter side of Hilary, after all, classical music is such a serious business:) I'm very thankful for her giving us an insight into her world and truly wish her well. Thanks!
Me watching this at 3am : starting at the 3:51 of the video barely makes me feel uncomfortable a little bit.. But 3:54 makes me hold up my laugh not to disturb everyone here... And I can't breathe 😂 HAHA I love her.. Thank you!
In this case, I believe here in Brazil we have sort of a "reverse jantelagen", especially among younger people. Being the center of attention, even if due to goofy behavior, is often seen as positive here (except in very formal environments). I personally believe I would prefer the original jantelagen...
I gave Hilary a hug and told her "You are so cute" when she performed in Sweden last year. She giggled when I said that lol. I think she had a drink before filming this backstage clip, she seems to be the kind of person that would like to just relax and be herself after a show.
Exactly, here in Sweden dislike if peoplestandout too much by goofing around at a public place and bragging about yourself for instance is considered really negative in general.
That's interesting to know about. Nowadays most of us have the false impression that all cultures are becoming alike, but the truth is that globalization can't do that. What's funny within one country can be weird or even insulting in another. These differences fascinate me. Greetings from Brazil.
I thought I left a comment before.Maybe a different Station. The one about online lessons on playing the piano with Your elbow.LOL Good hula-hoop though. All My comments are just suggestions.Something to goof-off with, like fiddle and Hillbilly music.Have fun and Your photos of different places are Great-Thanks!Still hoping to Meet You in person some day soon.Love & Prayer*xXO*-*OXx*
She said in an interview when she was growing up in her parents' home they didn't have a TV, so it was clear from that she'd never seen airings/repeats of the Laurel & Hardy films
Hillary was only trying to be funny. Based on your statement only, one could conclude that swedish people are very restrained and have a limited sense of humour, unless they're drunk. Is that correct?

Is your description related to the so-called "janteloven"?
Yes, it´s called "jantelagen" though ;)

Hilary is very cute! :)
her website is purple.
hilary went crazy w/ the stuffed animal...
Frank Zappa would have fully appreciated what she does on cymbal and piano.
I can imagine that. In most countries people talk a lot more and louder then in Sweden as well.
She doesn't recognize Oliver Hardy?

Many people are like that yes. People don´t behave like that here if they are in Hilary´s age especially not if they are classical musicians.

She seems a bit drunk in this clip, but she is American so you never know ;) Here in sweden people don´t behave like that unless they are drunk.
