Ah one of the vehicles that you MUST PLAY in a custom battle with instant reload. Seeing these thing fly backwards at 800kph is a sight to behold. It's almost as fun as using a derp gun in said instant reload server too
The Hind is probably the most terrifying vehicle you could ever see suddenly appear on a battlefield. If you don't have a surface to air missile; You are the pray, and its getting closer.
Meh, it's a below-average gunship in all practicality. It was never really utilized in its intended purpose as a troop transport hybrid. I mean yeah, ground troops should fear ANY gunship without anti-air, but the Hind is nothing particularly special.
The chin turret is specifically why I prefer the hind V over the P. The flexibility of the chin turret was something that I really enjoyed on the hind D in the early days of helis being added to the game. After I get all of the modifications for the V I will try the P out and see if I can master the fixed gun.
@@ElvisRocking1 my personal take on it is if you're close enough to use the gun you're not doing it right. If you have the option to stay away and with missiles and some lucky rocket shots go ahead and do that. That's not to say that it doesn't have utility for killing lightly armored vehicles but that gun is mainly for infantry suppression rather than outright killing armor. The 30 mm however does hit like a freight train when it comes in contact with anything so that is an upside.
It's purpose is to instant kill enemy aircraft if you can hit them, even ka50's don't survive, if you need an easier to control and to conserve ammo, there's a key binding to lower fire rate

The preferred method of the Soviet hind pilots. 10:23 it is, but only until you start using this cannon against tanks sides or IFVs. It just melts the ground targets when you hit them right. The trick is to turn on CCIP and slow down a little bit during your approach, as it greatly improves your yaw authority.

Gonna have to disagree with your assessment of the 30mm cannon, paired with ccip it gets on said cannon it makes a monstrous combo for facing light vehicles or the direct side of tanks.
Its got more firepower, but I tend to use heli guns more for scouting than destruction, so having it fixed-mounted is a downgrade for me. In the end, is personal preference.

Hey Tim. Just a quick tip you can turn on manual control mode for hellis in the quick action tabs or in the settings for a quick key bind. It helps control the helicopter while flying in a straight line or strafing a target.

this beast is designed for literally all situacions, and you can play it basicly as a damm plane, and you have the armor to tank, ideally you want to play it as a sniper, taking advantage of the armor so you can ignore high caliber damage
Generally no, as the Huey needed a dedicated conversion to operate as a gunship which limited its rear compartment. It wasn't able to carry troops AND be a gunship at the same time.
