I am elderly and I have great insurance and I won't vote for anyone who wants to take that away. PERIOD.
The rising interest rate can surely control inflation, but won't prevent erosion of the eroding purchasing power of the US dollar. I have learnt my lesson this time. The banks can't be making money off my money, while inflation eats into it. I have set aside 650k to invest in the stock market now, since that keeps up with inflation, but I don't know how to get started.

The US economy is already in recession. Any rate cut will not ignite inflation. The banks will tighten, even more, and all consumer and corporate credit lending
The Federal Government needs to be downsized and run like a business, not a free-for-all and an employer of last resort. The bureaucracy has become a behemoth for the Taxpayers.....enough is enough.

Taxes, insurance, and HOA’s, and zoning changes makes owning awful.. Sure it can, outlaw Airbnb and large corps or hedge funds buying individual houses and condos. Airbnbs shouldn’t be in the middle of residential areas. I have 4 right behind me and on most weekends I can’t sit in my backyard because of the noise. They’re not allowed in my city but the fine is so low they don’t mind paying it. Also in my city, Zillow and others are running up prices on every house being sold in most areas, then jacking up rents. This has made it all but impossible for young people to live here. Never mind illegal immigration.
