Hi mate. Thankyou so much for this video. I have been thinking about buying one of these so I can get back out there and make content for my channel. I just subscribed mate. Look forward to seeing more off grid stuff. 🙏🇦🇺🙏🇦🇺🙏
@@GioHoopsRidesRVLife I've seen some really bad reviews in FB but after being an owner now I have to say that its the best in its class. Installation is probably the most important preparation and insulation on the exhaust. I have a small offroading trailer and it cools it and heats it pretty well. Going to test it for heat this winter but pretty sure it will do well.
@rocky.racoon Yeah definitely agreed, the way how you have set up makes a drastic difference on how it's going to work out for you. At first, I didn't bother putting on the exhaust tubes so the heat wasn't escaping my room, which defeated the purpose of putting the AC on lol As soon as I put the exhaust & allowed the heated air to escape outside, that affected the cooling & circulation happening inside for the better. I've yet to try the heating feauture cuz it hasn't been that cold for me yet but winter is coming so I will also find out for myself soon. I'm also thinking is gonna work out fine for the both of us 👍
@MartinGonzalez-lx8jg Thank u man! I just made use of it the whole night, didn't noticed I accidentally had it on fan mode, rather than A/C mode, it lasted me the whole 8 hours & it was sweet. Yeah man hopefully u find a good deal on one eventually!
Thanks for the video 👍🏼 So you can run solar panels directly into the wave 2 ? Do you need the additional battery to do this or can you run it off solar without a battery?
@rescuetree No problem I think you need the add on battery. Even though the solar outlet it's on the actual Ecoflow unit itself, not on the battery. I think you may still need the add on battery in order to be able to recharge via solar. That's what I got at least from watching the Ecoflow video. I never tried connecting the panels to the unit itself cuz I bought it with the battery already included
Thanks for talking about the power consumption overnight. I’ve watched a lot of videos about the wave 2 and no one is really talking about the power consumption overnight. You said the battery that attaches to the unit gave you 4 hours straight? That seems pretty good. Or was it in combination with your power station? Also, how long does it take you to charge the attached battery. I bought a wave 2 and I’m not sure yet how I want to power it. Thanks!
Hey there, no problem & yeah it gave me 4 hours & 20 minutes straight & no it was not in combination with my power station. It was already fully charged & at night time, it was just running for those 4 hours & 20 minutes straight without being connected to the generator at all. I'm not sure exactly how long it takes to charge up the battery, I have it timed it yet so that's a good question. I will have to monitor that for sure but if I had to guess it takes about 2-3 hours to be fully charged. That's just a guess tho. I recommend to definitely give it, it's own power source via solar panels. It makes a huge difference. It's way more efficient running on the panels as it draws too much power away from a solar generator. Maybe it will be good on a gas generator too but I no longer have a gas generator to test how long it can run non stop on that. On a solar generator, it doesn't run for long, just like 1 hour or 1 hour & 30 minutes max before it shuts off from the generator being completely drained. Hope this helps

@@GioHoopsRidesRVLife Thank you. It does help a lot. I appreciate the reply.
Ecoflow wave 2 is trash imo. Mine couldnt even cool my small doghouse. And it will not heat below 50 f. Useless pile of garbage
@knowledgeablelandon9960 I use it almost everyday. It's working awesome for me but yeah you're right it doesn't go below 60. I still enjoy it a lot
Same I use mine every day and so far its been pretty great
