Yea, I think I passed on that one (great album, btw) because I've got a copy of that LP and maybe the price was too high at this store? ... thanks for checking out the video!
Enjoy your videos ! That " Carp " lp at 2:12 was a band formed by Gary Busey the actor while in college. He plays drums and sings. The Gene Clark of the Byrd's solo lp 16:12 is a sleeper. Goes for good money. Bought mine for $5 00 at an antique shop and sold it for $70.00. Good luck hunting. ✌️
Wow, I did not know about Carp with Gary Busey, now I know where he got his music skills from. Also, appreciate the Gene Clark BOLO, I will definitely grab that next time. Thanks!
Lord, I'd never seen Johnny Mathis in a tux before! Ironic you should pick up a Koto album - I was listening to the Dave Brubeck Quartet doing "Koto Song" this morning. I'm glad you got an original "Thick as a Brick." I'll never forget seeing them perform that. Seeing "English Rose" made me grin. When I was a kid, that was the first Fleetwood Mac album I ever saw, and I was unsure from looking at the cover whether the band's name was Fleetwood Mac or English Rose.
Glad you enjoyed the video, it was a good day of picking for vinyl and the Antique store was really cool. That “Thick As A Brick” was a great find, it had all the original inserts and plays like it should on the turntable (VG+). Thanks and stay tuned for more!
Maybe so, but.. I've picked up a lot of great LPs from my local Antique store at really good prices. Depends on the store, in my opinon. Thanks for watching the video!
Jimmy Cochran never earned the respect he was due in the US... Sad. Lucky for him, he moved to Europe, and became a huge star there and inspired numerous European wannabe-rockers, including French rockers such as Johnny Halliday, Eddy Mitchell and (I kid you not) a couple of others who adopted, respectively, the names Frank Alamo and Dick Rivers...
Wow, I did not know that about Cochran. Sounds like an interesting musician to study about, thanks for letting us know! Also, thanks for watching and commenting, more coming soon!
The Great Spade Cooley!
He left quite a tragic story behind of success and failure. I read somewhere that he died giving autographs. Thanks for spotting that one.
You passed on a Gene Clarke lp in that later lot. Might have been a good one to have, if the price and condition were right.
Enjoying the videos
my thoughts too! I live in the UK and anything by Gene is to be pounced on!
I flipped right past that one! Geez, thanks for the tip and I will grab it next time for sure.
Appreciate the BOLO on that, I'm going to try and go back for it soon.
You passed on English Rose by Fleetwood Mac - US 1969 presses $30 +

That's it, I'm done --- You passed on MG' space reincarnation... (Just kidding)
Lol .... Appreciate your keen eyes on the LPs and thanks for watching!

Great question, the videos are from Colorado Springs yard sale, estate sale, then Colorblind Antiques outside of Denver
