- One of my favorite New Order tunes uke'd up...perhaps the best B-side ever! My bro Cave rockin' the baritone on this one. Hope you enjoy!

Amazing. No other words... just amazing.
"1963" is one of New Order's masterpieces. The original version gives us a tsunami of sophisticated electronic harmonies but your version reminds us of something absolutely essential in this song: its catchy, moving and beautiful melody. Thanks!
Surprisingly fabulous

Lyrics
It was January, nineteen-sixty-three
When Johnny came home with a gift for me
He said I bought it for you because I love you
And I bought it for you 'cause it's your birthday, too
He was so very nice, he was so very kind
To think of me at this point in time
I used to think of him, he used think of me
He told me to close my eyes
My gift would be a great surprise
I saw tears were in his eyes
He never meant to hurt me
Oh, God, Johnny, don't point that gun at me
There's so many ways our lives have changed
But please, I beg, don't do this to me
Johnny, don't point that gun at me
Can I save my life at any price?
For God's sake won't you listen to me?
And though he was ashamed that he had took a life
Johnny came home with another wife
And I often remembered how it used to be
Before that special occasion, nineteen-sixty-three
There was too many ways that you could kill someone
Like in a love affair, when the love has gone
He used to think of her, she used to think of him
He told me to close my eyes
My gift would be a great surprise
I saw tears were in his eyes
He never meant to hurt me
Oh, God, Johnny, don't point that gun at me
There's so many ways our lives have changed
But please, I beg, don't do this to me
Johnny, you keep on using me
Can I change my life for any price?
Oh, Johnny, won't you listen to me?
He told me to close my eyes
My gift would be a great surprise
I saw hatred in his eyes
But he never meant to hurt me
Oh, God, Johnny, don't point that gun at me
There's so many ways our lives have changed
But please, I beg, don't do this to me
Johnny, you keep on using me
Can I change my life for any price?
Oh, Johnny, won't you listen to me?
I just want you to be mine
I don't want this world to shine
I don't want this bridge to burn
Oh, Johnny, do you miss me?
I just want to feel for you
I will always feel for you
I will always feel for you
I will always feel for you
I will always feel for you

Verses - Gmaj7 / Dmaj7, Chorus - Bm / Amaj7 / G / F# / Bm / Em / F#m / Bm / G / Bm / Em / F#m / Bm / G. At least that's what it looked like to me! I've done it as a song sheet with chords, but can't find a way to post a link to it. If you can contact me offline(!) I'll try and let you know.
Brilliant!!! More please!!!
Thanks! I'm playing a Kamaka soprano.

Just stumbled on this, didn't expect it would be much of anything - I couldn't stop listening until you were done - Great job.
Great job guys... Loved it!
Your singing is particularly hushed and cool and good on this one, E. Nice song, indeed. Love this song, in fact.
talent!!!!
The other guy does not looks like he is enjoying the moment haha, but i like it anyway. Great cover!!! I always was expecting someone to do this cover. I think it would be great in piano too. Keep it doing like that. Greetings from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Awesome
This is so cool guys. I love it.
This is a *great* version - I love it. I think I've worked out the chords you're playing as well, so I'll have to give this a try.
Love it man.

Desde Argentina muy bien, 10/10 puntos. (Y)
i like the bass
Hi! Not sure if you are still around but I just love your duel! Do you have the chords to this song? There are apps that don’t do the justice you have
Awesome!!!! would you please upload a tutorial or the chords? it would be amazing
What were the worked-out chords? :D
Is someone playing bass off camera or is that low end the soprano uke?
Shawn Watts That was GarageBand bass edited in after the two of us recorded the live take. Also used the GB drums and keys, you can barely hear it though.
erivel You did a great job on the cover! I’ll be checking out more of your videos.
Could you name the chords?
I've got a chord sheet with the chords on. I've tried sending you a RUclips message (I can't include urls in these replies) but it says I can only do so if you add me as a contact. If you want the sheet let me know.
