- Soranbushi is a traditional dance from Japan, originally from Hokkaido in the north, which elementary school students usually learn in their schools. It is said that fishermen used to sing this song to cooperate and unite each other to overcome fishing work, and this song was handed down generations by generations. Tonight, 19 Japanese and international students unite with each other on the stage to dance energetic soranbushi.
This performance was recorded at the 2016 FIUTS CulturalFest Performance Showcase on February 20 at Meany Hall, University of Washington. Learn more about FIUTS CulturalFest at www.fiuts.org/culturalfest

First part of dance finding good place in see for fishing, next taking nets, unwrapping net, next throwing in sea and taking back, than puting out net with fish behind ( repiting it )and in last part swimming back and celebraite good fishing.
