    First of all, military housing is the best. why? Pools, playgrounds, gyms and no greedy, currupt landlords. Oh and no drug addicts and homeless people sneaking around.

    So I love this, my husband is in the navy reserves. It's been 10 years, we have 2 small children I feel like I'm still adjusting to Being a navy wife. We are talking about moving to Pennsylvania taking the big leap to be Active orders but reservists still. Do you know anything about that area? Specifically elementary schools and daycares. I've never lived out of my home state, and we are excited and nervous

    Do you know if there’s any sailors that works at Walter reed that lives there and commutes over there? I’m currently trying to look for housing and I’m trying to see if it the commute would be worth it .. from md to bolling…

    If only one parent is working with a dependent , is it affordable? I’m leaving soon to boot camp and I was not sure 🤔

    • @LaShundaRena

      They take the full BAH here so you would have your base pay, BAS, and any other other incentives you get left over. But your housing and utilities would be covered. Check to see what the base pay is for your rank….

    Can soldiers wives work ? Or restricted within the community?
    Don’t want my wife to be always at home.

    • @LaShundaRena
      @LaShundaRena  Год назад +5

      Yes they can work. If it’s an overseas assignment then they may be restricted to working on base only. A lot of federal jobs give priority to military spouses bc they have to move so much.

  • @anumi8717

    So whenever you move, do you request for your military housing to be off base? Or is that not in your control. Yall just lucked up that time around🤔

    Is process like the norm where we have to submit applications and have our background or previous addresses run through? Or is it a fast process or slow ?

    • @LaShundaRena
      @LaShundaRena  2 года назад +4

      You have to submit an application and request which military community you want. I submitted ours through email to the navy housing office. No credit check, no background check, or addresses ran. The military member just has to submit a copy of the most recent LES, page 2, and orders. If there is no waist list at that community then they’ll offer you a home and you have either 24 or 48 hours to accept it (I can’t remember the timeframe). If there is a wait list then you’ll be added to it and sent an email once a home becomes available. The housing office is usually pretty good with letting you know how long the wait list is. The first community we moved to there was no waitlist so we were offered something right away and moved in. The second community we moved to had a wait list and we waited about 6 months.

    How is parking for Wadsworth houses. I’m about to move there and was wondering about parking. Is it’s assigned or free for all? Is it hard to find parking?

    • @LaShundaRena
      @LaShundaRena  2 года назад +1

      I think they give each unit 2 parking spots in front of their townhouse…or at least that’s how us and our neighbors did it. Idk if it was assigned parking though. They also have a second row for parking.

    Hi. With living on base is there child care?

    • @LaShundaRena
      @LaShundaRena  2 года назад +4

      Hey, yes they have childcare on base. Most have a waist list, not all, and a sliding fee scale depending on how much your household makes for the year.
