Fantastic choir! The preces, responses and Lord's Prayer sounded fantastic. The closing hymn: 'Loves Redeeming Work is Done' (Savannah (or Herrnhut))
Magnificent. I also like The Gloucestershire Wassail Song, & their recording of Great English Choral Music on the Priory record label.
What an introit! And I love the first psalm setting; is it Wesley?
According to Genome, it's Cooper. The second chant is by Wesley (allegedly).
What a horrid discordant, unsettling mess that last organ piece was. Not a recognizable tune in it, and completely at odds with a service where people had been praying for healing and peace.
it sounds like a temper tantrum.
It was the Toccata by Jean Guillou (1930-2019) who was titulaire of St Eustache, Paris, for five decades.
@@heidikortman2534 Hahaha!
A remarkable virtuoso recital piece, but yes, I agree. An incongruous choice in this case.
20th Century anti-music - what do you expect?
