Can you change velocity of a chord while it's being played? In FL Studio you can draw it in, up and down like a wave. So orchestral instruments sound real. How do I achieve this? Because in ABleton it seems velocity is only registered/changes when the midi note starts, not mid way.

Hey Mr. Plier, I've got a querestion. ok So I'm still back on 8 suite, but I'm wondering:
in the mix proc, my Spectrum shows wave as it, but (to my knowledge) not the shape AFTER applying the EQ.
a) am I overlooking a feature that might show post EQ wave
b) is there a benefit to just save the post EQ kick and maybe label it's spec analysis?
I hope I've voiced my thoughts accurately enough to understand.

is it me or by setting the Output Low and Output High to the same value you miss the whole point of this plugin which is to assign a random velocity (located between Out. Low and Out. High) to a note and humanize a whole chord progression .

volume automation?
Volume automation will give you the volume increase over time but it won't change the timbre of the sounds like varying the velocity on an instrument will. I don't think there's a way to do that with audio. Well, maybe some complex use of envelopes and/or filters but it would be hard to make it sound natural I think.
You can use a sampler.
Is there any advantage to using the midi effect rack over just clicking 'fixed' in the effect and doing it straight from there?
Kazbur I thought the same but wouldn't adding a rack make it more complicated for beginners instead of clicking a button?
Does this work for something like held strings? I know velocity differences are normally because the sample is being recorded at different volumes/velocities, so I'm guessing on a held sample they wouldn't exactly be able to blend between these various takes. Or maybe I'm just talking crazy talk. ??
I think that depends on the plugin, kontakt should be able to :))

@@Tiogar60 I usually just use the mod wheel for expression and a utility gain for a bit of volume swelling. I still have each held note at a sustained velocity but between the expression and volume swells I get the desired effect.
