Chiefs’ Kicker Draws Backlash for Commencement Speech

- The Chiefs’ kicker, Harrison Butker, is getting a ton of backlash after comments he made during a commencement speech in Kansas. Many people say his comments were both misogynistic and homophobic. Already more than 120,000 people have signed a petition calling for him to lose his job. Does he deserve to be canceled for his beliefs?

I wonder if those graduates have jobs lined up? That private catholic school has a 99% acceptance rate😂. Butker just made those diplomas worthless . As a consequence, Butker should pay off their student loans since he makes millions for kicking a pigskin. Don’t need to him for exposing his marital problems and not being more present for his wife and kids during football season.
These graduates are better off from hearing a man with values show them that you don’t have to follow the losers that pose as professors at colleges. Don’t worry about those students. With GOD ON THEIR SIDE SOMEONE LIKE YOU WONT IT SOUNDS LIKE YOUR JEALOUS OF WHAT HE HAS Accomplished AND OF THESE STUDENTS FOR WHAT THEY WILL ACCOMPLISH. Sounds like you have an issue with success. Why is everybody have this fantasy of having college students tuitions paid off. The problem with you people is it’s always someone else’s money.

I agree he has every right to make that speech, but in terms of consequences, the NFL has every right to tell him that they don’t want someone with those “values” to represent their organization. I would be mortified if someone that worked for my company made public comments like that. It’s bad for the brand and ultimately the business. That’s not cancel culture to me.
We didn’t even get into the fact that his mom is a physicist, or the fact that they chose a 28 year old to share their wisdom and give life advice to people barely younger than he is.
A man without values is no man at all. You have let this world’s lack of values eat you like a cancer. I guess you are ok with BLM RIOTS IN 2020 that killed numerous and the likes of kapernick and his kind disrespect not only our flag but our country. I bet your parents or grandparents that fought wars to keep this country safe are really proud of you.
Why does what he mother does have anything to do with his views? Not a single thing he said was wrong.
And the NFL doesn't have to say anything because it's literally not their problem a player says something.
The NFL shouldn't need to take a stance on anything. They are a corporation. They have no values to begin with.
@@jordandennis6794 he told a class full of college graduates that the women’s most sought after contribution to a society is the fact that they will some day make a man a happy wife. His mother, a contributor to the scientific community may take issue with that her degree and accomplishments pales in comparison to her “job” as a wife. As if somehow they are mutually exclusive.
And yes, a corporation, organization, company… has an obligation to their employees, fans, supporters. Just because you don’t agree with their values doesn’t negate the fact that they have them.
No one's job should be jeopardized because you or anyone else disagrees with what they have said or what they believe. Have a discussion, and agree to disagree, but do not demonize people for having an opinion that doesn't align with yours. #cancelcancelculture
I can remember in this country when the values of a Christian were the values that built this country into the place everybody wants to come. As a Christian myself, I find it an insult coming from the NFL. The NFL IS Full of Christian athletes. You might be surprised just how many there are. I’m pretty sure they are probably the leaders & the people the young players look up to & trust. Goodall, you need to look at your league and see why other leagues are popping up around the country. I bet you they aren’t either embarrassed by one of their premier players for representing their teams with humility and understanding that GOD & his son Jesus Christ are the reasons they can get up every morning. One day each of us is going to be on our knees in front of GOD. You will tell him that you were DEI and didn’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings. Harrison Butker will be on his knees in front of GOD. He will tell him that GOD THAT H3 PROFESSED JESUS as his Lord & Savior 3:04 . He will be accepted into heaven and live there for eternity. There are still good Christian athletes around the world. Please don’t sit on the sidelines & say nothing about the atrocities that are being done because of DEI, Transgenerism, university’s across the country teaching these ignorant students what to think instead of how to think. Parents need to wise up and help their children. All they want to do is give their kid everything and give them no direction. I’m glad my parents taugh5 us what was right & wrong. The main thing they did was introduce me to Jesus. I can die in this world, but I will live forever. People, you need to not try to hide from GOD. Repent & follow Jesus. Eternity is a long time. You can say I’m crazy or a fanatic. I am happy and assured of my place in heaven. It’s so easy to dismiss this, but it is the most important decision you will ever make. I will pray that some people will read this and start thinking;king about their life. GOD bless you & may GOD bless America.
