I cant get over how much Nein and Milla sound like proud parents when talking to them post game. Theyre just so proud of Raz and it makes me so happy to see someone acknowledge how amazing he is.
Sasha, in particular, sees Razputin as a surrogate son/protegee, so it's not really surprising - and Razputin, at ten years old, has played an essential role in resolving issues that destroyed the Psychic Six and plagued the Psychonauts for decades, so pride is an entirely sensible response to their star pupil. Abject terror would also be reasonable, but, luckily, Raz is just a main character, not a megalomaniac...

The only thing you missed that I'm sad about is that if you use Clairvoyance on Helmut, he sees you as wearing the Brütal Legend outfit and it looks amazing.
One nice game detail you might spot later (or another commenter might have already pointed out): the stone mural in the Motherlobe now includes Lucy. There was previously a big red curtain covering her but, now that the Psychic 6 is officially 7 again, they've unhidden her. A small touch I liked 😊 More importantly: a big "thanks" for playing all of the Psychonauts games, Dan, it's been great meeting all the characters and seeing your genuine enjoyment of this franchise. Also well done Carrie for editing these last two episodes in particular (along with all the others), there was a lot of work it seems!
Someone mentioned in another video how, in Cassie's mind, the Psychonauts are all up above her. I commented that this is true for pretty much all of them: they are the judges in Comptons mind, Bob is taller in Helmut's memories while Helmut literally towers over Bob in his. Even Ford, in his broken mind, has a shrine to his friends in the form of the totems.
The relationship between Raz and his dad has been one of the best treats of the game. You spend most of the first one fearing and resenting the father right up until you get to actually meet him. Then in this game it's just been so wholesome. The father is always willing to talk and treats Raz like an equal. Even showing great interests in Raz's interests. Thank you for playing and enjoying this game, and for going about and doing as much as you could after it was all said and done.
You can also use the speed up time bubble on the water wheel in the questionable area, which i did and then proceeded to jump on it only for it to launch me so high up into the air i went out of bounds and could see the entire questionable area as a rectangular shape inside a giant dark void before i eventually fell back down. I don't know if this interaction can cause other bugs, glitches or unintended physics interactions or maybe even break the game and/or your console/pc so if anyone reading this feels curious or inclined to test it out, do so at your own risk.
Can we just appreciate how much work Richard Horvitz did for this game? There are hours of voice lines for raz - it couldn’t have been easy at his age. Major kudos for him reprising the role fully.
I like that the water getting acrobatic with Raz instead of drowning him, shows that it *_was_* all in his mind... its just that being telekinetic means that what's "all in his mind" doesn't *_stay_* in his mind.
I do like that we got one final conversation with Augustus Aquato, addressing how hurt he is by the events of the game; as the person you can argue suffered the most from Ford's decisions--because he literally did nothing to deserve any of it.
It was also clever to have the doubt enemies there. I remember when Dan was first there the fight was set up to practically guarantee that you would burn one. Unfortunately Dan was too busy with the fight to notice, though I think he did mention them then as well saying they looked interesting.
What an amazing game. They did such a great job fleshing out the characters, showing us how they all appeared within one another's minds, etc. Also, your series was terrific. Kudos to you and Carrie.

Three games you need to look into: Voodoo Vince, Oddworld Stranger's Wrath, and the Neverhood. All of them share this quirky humor and great storytelling. All of them are worth playing, even if you don't make them into videos.

This game has been such an emotional rollercoaster, I loved it, I am so sad it's over. Also my guess for the next psychonots game is probably something to do with another countries version of the psychonauts. Also plz I would love a good dlc to go with this game. There is definitely potentials for that with the brain thing like you said, the other thing that would be really cool is if you get to play as fraisy or queepy (queepy had psychic poweres right) and get to do something with them developing their powers.
I was really expecting that Asst Librarian to threaten you a lot sooner than they did. Seeing as how you were moving in on their position as Librarian Cassie's favorite assistant.

Hey, Dan, I just wanted you to know that because of this playthrough, I bought this game as a gift for a friend. I don't play video games anymore, because they are overpoweringly addictive to me, but this kind of creativity and love deserves appreciation, and I decided to do what I could to support the developers. Psychonauts 2 does seem open to DLC down the line. There's stuff that can be done with the Interns, Raz could join Helmut and Bob in their mission to Grulovia, we could meet up with some of the characters from the previous game, the mystery brains in the Brain-Frame, etc.
So I know I'm late, but I poked around TCRF (The Cutting Room Floor) a bit regarding this series. Terryl mentions the name D'Artagnan, who was the original protagonist of Psychonauts early in production. Thought that was a neat nod to that original idea.
To anyone who might want to see a couple of speedruns for Psychonauts 2, now that we're finished over here, the GDQ channel has done 2 as part of their between-events content. One run by people who are actively practicing and stuff, and another on the First Step show where the hosts play a game once and then try their best to complete it fast, usually managing to in ~4 hrs or less.
I really did like this series to watch. Can't believe that you just have 113K subscribers because I really like the content that's on this channel. Keep it up :)

Well with the end of Psychonauts, I feel like now would be the best to time to recommend you look at Bug Fables. It has great gameplay, adorable art style, adorable and well written characters, and a surprisingly deep lore and story. It's absolutely amazing.

Super stoked you are (possibly) continuing the Luigi's Mansion 3 playthrough! I'm not an animator and it even stuck out to me as particularly exceptional. I miss the tone of the original game, but 3 does its own thing extremely well.
Dan the conversation in Cassie's mind with the Knight and the Dragon is definitely worth looking up if you get a chance, I didn't realize you miss your chance to see if after beating the game

This play through was a treat. I love this series. And It's always great to have Dan as the guide to it.
I enjoy being thorough in collectathons, and watching those playing being so as well. Goes for Psychonauts, and the totally coincidental mention of Luigi's Mansion
Well with the end of Psychonauts, I feel like now would be the best to time to recommend you look at Bug Fables.
It has great gameplay, adorable art style, adorable and well written characters, and a surprisingly deep lore and story. It's absolutely amazing.
I feel sad that it's done, but that means it's a good story being told.

I couldn't wait,I had to see all these characters again. This game makes my heart feel full! Of course I hope for more psychonauts, but I also feel it's wrapped up well enough. I loves it!
For what to use the fast bubble on, you could use it on your archetype to speed them up.
I loved playing this game and watching this playthrough. Here's hoping we get a Gastronauts game apropos of nothing, set in the Psychonauts world but centered on a completely different conceit.

Super stoked you are (possibly) continuing the Luigi's Mansion 3 playthrough! I'm not an animator and it even stuck out to me as particularly exceptional. I miss the tone of the original game, but 3 does its own thing extremely well.
Dan the conversation in Cassie's mind with the Knight and the Dragon is definitely worth looking up if you get a chance, I didn't realize you miss your chance to see if after beating the game

Anyway, I love that you did absolutely *everything* in this game and collected all the things! Makes me happy and while the time investment was significant, I think it was worth it, because I thoroughly enjoyed it.
