Amelia watching her 2 exes talking to each other 🍿
😅
Exactly! Somehow the RUclips algorithm started showing me "Chicken Shop Date" videos...and both these guys were on her show! They were both so decent, and kind. Maybe she screens potential guests, so that jerks who'd spend the whole time looking in a mirror, aren't invited on the show. I also enjoyed Paul Mescal. As a Hollywood star, it must be hard not to become full of yourself -- and convinced that the world revolves around you -- and those 3 men have managed to avoid becoming "that guy." Credit to them, and to the women who raised them.
I was wondering if they chatted about their dates with her. ❤️🙂
IM DYING LOL

This comment is disgusting! 🥴🤢🤮 🤣🤣🤣
ANDREW IS 41 YEARS OLD???? In what world??? He looks 28. Now I understand the expression “aged like fine wine.”
WTFFF he does NOT look 28 lmfaoooo are you 14yo ?
I’m surpised ppl think he’s old
that is not what "aging like fine wine means".....
The fact that Andrew opened the interview with such a thoughtful recap to help Harris align their discussion, showing he was listening earnestly prior and fully present. Grade A. That level of consideration for the other person is super rare.
@@cosmo4251 Very considerate for the audience also.
Hmm when did they state that
@@helenogbonna3361 At the beginning.
I really love this side quest adventure that Andrew is going on right now where we follow him speaking about his life and basically becoming a therapist for the internet by speaking about his grief and mentality. I know he hasn’t really been in the pop culture space for several years now but it’s just good to see him back.
I could literally listen to harris' voice for eternity and his vocabulary??? It's really hard to not get overshadowed by Andrew and he managed to do that
They should bring someone like hero fiends tiffin swear it’ll be more of a action he’s so boring I can’t even watch this uttered
@HelenOgbonna-b5s it's interesting that you thought I wanted to hear random person whining about Harris lol wrong person keep searching
Harris recent rise to more popularity is absolutely deserved, he's so talented
and Andrew is a darling who DOESN'T look 40+ but still 25 😅
Here after Harris Dickinson's chicken shop date 😭
Me too, completely enchanted with his charisma 🥹
i could listen to Harris talk all day. his voice is so calm, and his energy is so comforting.
How Harris Dickinson twirls his hair when thinking is so adorably normal.
Harris was nervous twirling his hair.
@@user-vv7og1gt7the gives mgk but Austin butler s from Disney channell
Harris dickinson is exactly what Hollywood needs...a leading man who is both beautiful and can act. Feels like we haven't had beautiful actors for a long time
Huh? Like all the recent Hollywood leading men are known for their good looks
@@KPlaysSports123 like who? handsome maybe but not beautiful. I feel like people always exaggerate the looks of actors when they're not actually all that. Harris is classically beautiful
He is so beautiful and that accent ❤❤
What about Austin Butler ? Harris'energy in this interview actually reminded me a lot of Austin, they sort of have the same tone and are both good and respectful listeners
@elysepezo9680 I haven't seen any interviews with Austin only some of his films. I don't see a lot of vulnerability in his acting as I do with Harris. When Austin is acting I'm aware that it's an actor acting if you know what I mean
amazed at how good andrew is at adding beautiful insight to the conversation and then remembering to answer harris' original question
Harris Dickinson will be the people’s it boy I’ve been saying it. He’s perfect.
Yeah. He's beautiful but also very bright and intuitive. Very appealing young man.
He da core yessuh
Harris: "I met Tom Cruise, and he gave me 20 minutes of wisdom. I didn't really ask for it, but I was really grateful for it."
Andrew: [bursts into laughter] "What did he say?"
Harris: "He was trying to give advice about training . . . I just wanted to have a normal chat."
two very talented and emotionally intelligent men having a conversation like i wouldn't have been this interested about men's opinions but these two are genuinely so eloquent. i love their work and their thoughts and it was great to know that they had/have kinda the same struggles. btw one is wearing a tshirt and the other is wearing a sweater ahahha so exicted to see their films
Harris is so bright and sensitive. I agree with him, that although the arts are very important, it's no more important than other work. Why do people idolize actors and celebrities so much? I guess because they are so much in the public eye, unlike a surgeon or a plumber or a caregiver or whatever. All have an important place in society. Fascinating conversation.
Because media profile/presence are used to sway public opinion, to form "consensus" that justifies certain policies.
the idolization and the feeling of being "saved" comes from an emotional connection -- and in a society that is woefully neglectful to emotions (whether through this popular "nonchalant" personality, the "don't trust anyone" mindset, individualism, etc.), when you finally feel seen as a person, even if it's by a stranger, it's incredibly important. so i totally understand Andrew on this one! there's definitely physically life-saving work vs what they do, but you can only survive on the physical alone, not thrive or even feel like a human.
@@edm5378and Harris reminds me of prince harry of Sussex he really carries the prestiged
I agree with Andrew. As someone who has been on the verge of ending things many times, art offered a level of connection that allowed me to hold on. Even "light hearted entertainment" allowed moments of relief during isolating, devastating pain. It's odd to me when artists deny this. They either haven't experienced that transaction or are feigning modesty.
I saw an interview with some artist and he was asked what the meaning of art is. He said it`s to tell someone who is seeing your art in a different space and time: "You are not alone."
I think it's that successful artists feel too privileged to do what they enjoy most in life AND be compensated extremely well for it, that it probable feels wrong to them also claim that their work is important. I'm sure privately most artists feel that way though. Or hope it's important at least. We all know the full-of-themselves, unbearable type of actor, so it's a good thing when a young actor is actively trying not to let success get to their head.
@baioscoxae I agree, and it's understandable to have that instinct, especially as a young artist. At the same time there's no virtue in lying about it. You can acknowledge your privilege by expressing genuine gratitude for it. You can show your humility by acknowledging it's about the art - not about the artist. But to minimize the impact of the work just takes away from the entire project, and also perpetuates the idea that artists should inherently feel shame for their success. Any wealth they’ve earned can ultimately be used to help others if they choose to be generous with it, which should be seen as a net positive.
@peacelove2994 it's a fine balance for a young actor to strike basically, you gotta remember their publicists are usually in the room on press tours, the industry is pretty horrible and hard to navigate.
I fully understand what you mean though, and agree. I feel like the artists that don't shy away from acknowledging the importance/power of their work tend to be older, plus you gotta have lots of talent to back it up, people like Tarantino, Scorsese, Stephen King come to mind. Also, anyone who's politically engaged and brings it to their work: writers, fine artists, musicians - would talk about it more readily cause their work has a more direct, straightforward effect on the world, or so they hope. I guess acting in a psycho-sexual drama might feel a bit less urgent compared to what others are up to:) Also Brits you know! There's nothing they hate more than tooting their own horn.
Anyways, sorry for blabbering, I hope you're doing well. Time to go consume some more art☺ And hopefully make some too.
Thank you for your honest, thoughtful comments. I've been in very emotionally painful states, a lot, and watching something that makes me laugh really is a lifeline in those moments/days. I watched When Harry Met Sally over Christmas for the first time in years and years and it made me laugh so much, oh the JOY it gave me!! ❤ It's not something trivial - at all - it's an incredibly precious gift. When I read that Billy Crystal lost his home in the fires recently I was so sad for him I cried my eyes out, I've never met him but I feel an emotional bond with him because of his acting (I'm female btw, so it's not that I relate to him as a guy, just that I find him so funny and so warm and endearing).
And when an actor or actress conveys the emotions you're feeling it does make you feel seen, it absolutely does let you know you're not alone, and that is incredibly healing and comforting. Being alone or feeling alone (sometimes I think we feel alone even when we're not really, but either way it's just as painful) is in my opinion the most excruciating kind of pain, humans can't endure it, it's unbearable. Art isn't some fluffy unnecessary luxury, it makes life bearable and beautiful and hopefully.
This seemed like such a genuine, easy exchange between two people who respect each other's work, like friends catching up with one another. Harris Dickinson has been one of my favorite actors since watching Beach Rats & I'm excited about the trajectory of his career.
Amelia will love this one
Harris omg Jeremy is so annoying but love his movies
What was ur spidey
Henry Dickinson is so handsome, and that smile is out of this world. hey Garfield we still love you too. Baby Girl was an amazing film.
Yes, the smile.
it’s harris?
Who's Henry
How cool that he mentioned he was looking for ideas from celebrities to feel like he is seen and understood. And that's exactly how I feel when I listen to him!
Love you so much Andrew.
I hardly ever see Andrew this vulnerable. It’s very endearing to hear them speak so honestly about their achievements and struggles as actors.
Harris Dickinson would be a great Bond. He'd be different, very different, but so was Craig. I can just see him in the part as a younger version of 007,

N may u whoeva stop hiding comment
I agree. Such a beautiful, sensitive man.
I love little moments in films when real vulnerability, like when Harrison breaks out into a tiny laugh and smirk coming out of embarressment, which he admits in this interview, was actually happening to him during the filming.. those moments adds to the authenticity.
i love these talented smart self aware humans making art for us
Yes!!! Why is no one mentioning this, onyl talking about their looks? Such a deep and meaningful and importsnt conversation🙏❤
Jesus, this has to be my favorite Andrew Garfield interview yet! Such a lovely Friday treat. Him and Harris really had a great conversation.
The duo I didn’t know I needed! Love both of them. Andrew is the greenest flag I’ve seen in a guy. He is almost like a philosopher, beside his great acting takent he’s also very introspective human. Love how he talks about Babygirl and compliments on Harris who is even shy cause he’s so flattered by Andrew’s words, listening to him like a student listening curiously to a professor. These two definitely one of those guys you could be easily friends with in real life. 0% ego, 0% arrogancy, 100% likeability and intelligence.
Andrew Garfield is out here telling, out loud, what all of us are going through in life realizations, reactions, feelings, our own reactions to our own feelings, and how we are trying to control and articulate it all in a healthy way. ❤
I love love love love Harris Dickinson
Came from Vicki strun
they both have the same level of emotional intelligence, and i like that
Garfield does not look 41, he could pass as early thirties
I think it's an energy thing too. He has a youth to him that transcends physical age.
he DOES NOT look like he's in his early thirties... people in their early thirties look younger than that.
@@fruitznspicein my country 30 year old dudes look way older than Andrew.
I thought he was 35 at most. Can’t believe he’s 41
it's because he had a hair transplant as certainly does botox.
i also disagree with the not saving lives comment! Artists, actors, movies, songs, poetry, etc have all and do help in reassuring our humanity, staving off depression, suicides, and just offer pure enjoyment The arts save life every day. Don't underestimate the profound effect it has on one's everyday life. :)
Beautiful comment.🥰💕!
YES!!!! This was what I was just trying to say in a comment I've just posted in reply to someone above this line, but you've just said it way more succinctly!! ❤❤
Andrew finally found someone who can level up with his "hums"
Harris is on the verge of superstardom ❤
So many connections between the two! Just amazing!
Wow y'all really had a great connection! The fact that Harris had a Kes tattoo is almost kismet
Love the fact that Andrew mentioned he is reading Ishiguro's book and also I love the fact that he actually starred in his 'movie adaptation of 'never let me go'. Man, Andrew is one of the greats, he is done it all at this point
Loved this. They are both so tapped in and Andrew has some very wise points.
2:13 "more you know less you know" he makes perfect sense i absolutely get what he means i feel the same way
they’re yapping and all i can concentrate on is andrew’s sweater matching the shade of his lips perfectly 🤣🤣🤣
We may have witnessed the beginnings of a lifelong true friendship.
I can listen to Harris' voice all day long 💞

That was an awesome conversation. I've not seen an "interview" like that. It was very revealing about these two phenomenal actors.
Evry day isa blessing til we die Andrew speaks
I can tell Harris is hungry to learn. I hope he always keeps that

I could listen to them forever
I could fall asleep to their voices. So calming & beautiful 😂❤

andrew looks great in this shade of pink 💜
Big fan of both these actors. Harris Dickinson's one of the best young actors around.
Cuz they’re awesome
i could watch 10 hours of this and i'm not even joking
Andrew is such a deep thinker. I think I get what he means.. And I think I get what Harrison means.. Their mahi (work) is an art form and they don't necessarily get to choose how the narrative goes because it's all laid out and directed for them.
And to Andrews point, it might not be life saving in a physically triaging kind of way, but having the power to change someone's perspective and empower them or challenge their thinking to consider something bigger than themselves is equally as impactful and lifesaving.
Physical healing helps with your physical quality of life.
And mental and soulful healing can drive your holostic quality of life in almost an even greater way.
Found this incredibly healing to watch
I don’t know who I like more. So thanks for this video, A24🥰
Dickinson in Triangle of Sadness is great, and I love Garfield in Silence.

Such a great conversation!!! I knew Andrew is wonderful, but now I know Harris is also.
I would love to have Andrew Garfield as my talk therapist, just once a week chatting with him for 1-2 hours would be wonderful 😊
I really wonder what Harris has experienced with the extent to which he mentions having trust issues with directors. It's nice hearing his point of view and his cautiousness at times / the importance of feelings safe.

I love how fascinated and invested Harris is when Andrew talks about aging. I feel that Harris is an old soul anyway, so he's ready to get on with it. Harris should play David Bowie in a biopic.
