      Hello Liz, I'll have to find a way for the legs to stay up as I do think the size is quite handy. Thank you so much for watching :)

    I used a wall spool holder for years but they used to get really dusty. So I’ve gone back to baskets for cottons. Tfs your haul as it is good to see items that I’ve overlooked when ordering. I’ve always been happy with my purchases as I hate making unnecessary trips out to find stuff. Reasonable too.

      I used to have one years ago and really liked it, I'm short for space so this will go directly behind my sewing machine, shouldn't get too dusty there I hope and I've got my 'special' threads in little drawers :) Oh me too, really don't like going out if I don't have to. Thank you so much for watching Mary and have a lovely day :)

    You can go to their support tab and get a refund for the 8 pack fat quarters that only had 7. Be careful with cheap thread in your sewing machine.

    Put super glue into the hinge areas to stabilizer. Downside is not being able to collapse for storage.

      Thank you Nancy, I ended up just twisting a little wire around the joint and it keeps it in check :) Thank you for watching

    I don’t care to leave my threads out. I have thread that is quite old but still very sturdy, always kept in a plastic container and let the air out.

    • @MiCottageCrafts
      @MiCottageCrafts  4 месяца назад

      I'm only leaving my 'paper' threads out as my vintage and more expensive threads are in little drawers. Thank you for your input :)

    The sleve board is for sleves you put the sleeve over the end to press it when you’re making a garment. It’s not for ironing

    • @MiCottageCrafts
      @MiCottageCrafts  4 месяца назад +1

      Yes it is but I still wouldn't think it should collapse so easily. A little bit of wire has done the trick though. Thank you for watching :)

      I think I'll have to find a way for the legs to stay up and it would be very handy to have for small projects of an odd shape. Thank you so much for watching Michelle :)

    Hi Jeanette!
    I'm glad to see these products on Temu. I've just started getting a few items from them and have been pleased so far. The pliers you purchased are what we refer to as forceps. They were designed to hold on to human tissue, skin, etc., without letting go, while the surgeon continued on with another part of the operation. I only know this because I used to work in a hospital. I have a pair also. I don't use them very often, but they're invaluable if you need to hang on to something while doing something else.
    Thanks for sharing! Hugs! Jan

      @MiCottageCrafts  4 месяца назад +1

      Thank you ever so much for watching Jan, I can certainly see how they will be useful as most 'tweezer' style craft tools aren't always strong enough so the forceps will work much better. Have a lovely day :)

    Nice selection of stuff there .As always quality can vary on Temu but I love shopping there for craft items ,so much more choice than anywhere else .I have to ask as have not heard of them before ,what are "suffolk puffs ?" I think that's what you called them ,sorry if heard wrong ,I'm really intrigued by them as just never heard of them before 😊

    • @MiCottageCrafts
      @MiCottageCrafts  3 дня назад +1

      Hello and thank you for watching, a 'suffolk puff' is the same as a fabric 'yoyo' in some countries. It's a circle of fabric which is sewn around the edge with a running stitch, pull the threads up to gather in the center and it resembles a little flower. I hope this helps :)

    I purchased the Kam snaps with the applicator, they sent the applicator, no snaps….you can’t be in a hurry with them…but they are willing to work with you. Also purchased the chalk in the small container, chalk broken as well as container, they returned my money.

    • @MiCottageCrafts
      @MiCottageCrafts  4 месяца назад

      Oh that would be a little annoying, I'm glad they are working with you on the snaps. Yes chalk breaks in transit, I've ordered years ago online and it arrived broken so I just don't do that now. Glad they reimbursed you. Enjoy your day :)

    Fabric is very thin, I have been disappointed with the fabric before. I did order the thread set, haven’t tried it out yet.

      @MiCottageCrafts  4 месяца назад

      I find the fabric is fine for what I want to make with it. The threads are weak but I'm using them with paper so I'm ok with that. It's all in how you are going to use the things I guess. Thank you for watching :)

    What are you making with all the yo-yos?
    As for Temu sewing products, read the descriptions just not the headline. The photos are numerous but contain a lot of info such as dimensions. Also read the description just under the reviews. You can report to Temu for incorrect product info. For example, I was looking for cotton thread. The headline said cotton thread, but product description, under the reviews said-- Material: Polyester. I reported this to Temu.
    Also, headlines tempt you with a low price, but then you see choices of size or color, which some are more expensive. For example, I saw a plastic storage container-- $2.20 US, but it was only for the smallest size of 4" by 8" , but the larger more useable sizes double or triple in price. Or the very low price for one particular color, but the other colors a lot more. Watch out for jelly rolls. The Temu ones are 2.5 " by 20", that's half the width of fabric, not the full width as in most jelly rolls, also 20 strips, not the usual 40 strips. Read the dimensions and quantities, usually shown in the numerous photos.
    How can Temu charge lower prices? No fancy packaging or instructions. This is the factory cost, that retailors buy at, but retailors have fancier packaging costs, marketing costs, maintaining inventory costs, so that's why buying on Amazon for example or a website costs more. Temu is no frills. But you can find great sewing products at low prices. For example, wooden clappers are at best $20-40 US, but on Temu 10" clappers are about $14 US. I now have 4 clappers, the more expensive on I bought from Amazon, then 3 more from Temu. The difference, the Temu clappers have no names imprinted on them. Same way for rulers, pins, and such, the brand is not available on the no frills packaging. Look up where your brands of notions are manufactured, mostly in China.
    Also, you can refund an item without returning it, once per order. So I would ask Temu for a refund on the 7-count instead of 8 count fabrics.

      Yes of course, as with any online purchase it is always wise to read the descriptions thoroughly. Thank you so much for watching :)

    You also confirmed what I experienced from temu ..some things maybe reasonably good.. maybe.. but others are substandard..
    Their prices I found are rarely cheaper.
    My impression.. junk.. and a waste of money

    An 8-pack containing only 7 items, a collapsible collapsing sleeve board… made of plastic, you said? Well, seems like you just verified what I have heard about Temu. While I do like the thread colors, I will not order from Temu, it‘s just too much cheap chinese crap. Thank you for trying things out so I don’t have to!

      Almost Everything is made from China. Everything from the stuff you put on your body to the chip in technologies you are using right now. If not from China, then Taiwan or India. China is currently the number one exporter to export goods in whole world………
