You explain things so clearly. I've watched two of your videos and already learned so much. I'll be watching all the other Dahua vids. Thank you, thank you!!
Great video, just wondering if you have a video to show how to arm the cameras from an alarm system rather than have to go into the DMSS app and do it separately to the alarm. Would be great to be able to do it automatically when you arm your house alarm.
When explaining the schematic for the wiring layout on the PIR; if the normally closed switch opens, it would cause infinite resistance thus causing voltage to drop to zero, no? How would it increase the voltage? I’m confused now.
thank you for the explanations. I guess you can also set all cameras if you have more to 1 zone and whichever one records motion engages the alarm right?
Your Latch and Anti Dither are different and the time runs together not added... Normally set at 5, this is good for setting up a Tour of your camera on motion it will pop up the camera for 5 seconds full screen, In this since when your using the Alarm Latch time was Normally setup for 10 seconds, That means when the time starts to count down both have started they don't add up to 15 with 5 normal Anti D, and the Latch 10... It will not detect and start another Latch for 5 seconds. So if your not going to use the Tour on motion feature you could set the Anti Dither to 10 and that means it will only Log (if set to Log on motion) every 10 seconds and that is the time of the latch, IF you keep it at 5, and 10 for latch in a since if the Motion is tripped a second time after the short set 5 yes it might go longer then the latch of 10seconds because in a since it started again
logically that is how i also though it functions but when i test it it adds the time. This is how it functions on the NVRs listed in the video. Tested for short periods and longer periods.
@@ecologicaltime Thanks for the Reply, That is odd because I have been using Dahua for many years and I have some very old AI hardware from Dahua as well. Before the invent of the 4216.. I also have a 4216E-AI.. I have tested my Alarm output Latch with a Stop watch and it is right on what it is set at. Only one I have had an issue with is a older system from 2012 It is like the motion is to touchy and even though I don't see anything trigger after the Anti Dither is over it must trigger again and adds on time.. Or maybe it was just defective from the start. All my other systems with Alarms, most of them are Dahua or Dahua OEM products I do have some Hikvision with Alarm in and outs as well..
i too used a stop watch and reported it as it performed. I tested twice. This is why i say logically its supposed to work as you described but it did not on the unit in the video.

This channel is severely underrated.
I just love these videos. So well done and so incredibly useful - THANK YOU!
Just what I needed… thanks for sharing.

Great video thanks .
Do you have a video on how to actually programming an alarm system from scratch?
Great video, very well explained.

Does tp link vigi nvr has the alarm function aswell
Thank you so much for the time
Simple the best 👌🏿
Dahua NVR4216 recorder, we want to get contact or trigger for alarm output, how can I do it?
Gracias
can you do one for hikvision
Can I use the relays in the camera as a zone on x64

if we have more cameras connected, how are the cables connected?
Analytics have came a long way
