Vultures 1 definitely isnt horrible. But it’s easily the least innovative and least passionate album in Kanye’s discography. I really would say I only enjoy half of this album. It can feel very awkward and distasteful. And the performances and production can be absolutely awful at times.
As a fan your right he’s my favorite artist but vultures is really his only bad Album and it’s a collab album donda was great so I think he should just drop a solo
@@mk2tapped he does take time he takes 2-4 years to drop a album and we’re having years of delays he’s a perfectionist he’s already doing that it’s just kinda bad rn bc his head space he needs to just focus on himself instead of worrying about us
I loved BEG FORGIVENESS, it felt like everything God Breathed was meant to be. And I feel like he's asking the world what it wants from him in 2024. The fact Chris Brown performs the first half compounds the complexity of humanity reflected in the song. To me it felt like the world was singing that song to him
Ayo i recall Charli XCX was one of your artists on your "fave artists" pyramid. Given how much of an impact BRAT made, is there a possibility of a Charli ranking vid coming out any time soon? ._.
To me, I feel this was the most “yes man” Kanye album, when everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, says yes to everything you say on the sound, the lyrics, the message, it’s basically allowing the sins, the vices, the demons to dictate what goes in the music, than Kanye himself. My personal opinion when it comes to creating any project (not just a Kanye album) you need to have 1 no man out of 4 men. So if there are 3 guys that say yes and/or positive criticism constantly, you need to have 1 no man to go beyond expectations with.
The ironic thing is "vultures" means the yes men who leech off him. That is the idea behind the album name. "don't have no rapper friends, I hang with the vultures". The whole album was detailing Ye's life after he got cancelled. This may be crazy to say or just cope but I feel like the album was intended to be that way to send that message.
the dark and lustful atmosphere the album creates is something i love, the vultures era as a whole is probably my favorite. masked up wearing all black with dark vampiric sounds yk?
I definitely think. Not only is he tarnishing his legacy by being an asshole, he's also tarnishing the legacy of his catalogue by releasing mid/bad music.
Vultures feels like a mix of MBDTF‘s feelings of arrogance and comeback motives mixed with Yeezus‘s sexualization and „I do whatever the f I want“ sound. That makes me believe that in some time people will go back to it and go „hey, that wasn’t so bad after all“. But with that said I really hope Vultures 2 learns from its predecessors mistakes and becomes an absolute banger.
I find it how crazy people Hate on the self titled "vultures" song, the Juice version goes actually so hard and bumj J's verse is very catchy, but i can see why people are not that impressed by it at all.
Kanye needs to take a break not retire He needs to hop off the internet for at least a year or 2 to cook up a new album that is not a sequel to any of his albums and is just a pure original idea that serves as an end to his career
What infuriates me the most about this album is how he picked out the WORST songs he worked on during this whole era The more leaks that come out and songs he previewed before the release/ volume 2 previews all sound better than 90% of vultures 1 it’s crazy to me how he somehow just chose the worst songs from this era to release, like genuinely a few days ago a song called “city underground” got a 10 second leak And it sounded PHENOMENAL, it was like “sky city” 2.0, yk the most wanted song from yandhi? I understand not wanting to listen to leaks or previews of the albums but im too much of a fan to not do that lol and sometimes it ruins some songs, i just wish vultures 2 actually comes out because it has some great songs and would easily be better than v1
Well I mean songs like fuk sum and paid were originally Ty’s songs so I’d say it’s more of a Ty album especially since his parts carry the album cause most of Kanye’s contributions are lackluster
You have to listen to Vultures 2 leaks before saying he should retire. He has a 10/10 album in the vault but his problem is that he picks the worst tracks and leaves the best ones out.
Vultures the song aint even that bad. It's not the worst on vultures and its certainly not the worst in his whole discog. Have you not heard Closed on Sunday?
I think that beg forgiveness isnt kanye telling people to beg forgiveness i think its the people telling him to beg Forgiveness, which is shown in the choir and stuff
6:48 Kanye did not sing this part in the second half of the song, that was Ty dolla Sign, I don’t rly think Ye put a spin on anything as much as Ty did for what he was trying to say
with the problems he's going through right now irl he should just stop. like what he's said and how he's treated people has just affected him permanently. He shouldn't make music about those stuff, its negative energy
Vultures just has the issue of living up to Kanye standards. In 4 years when we remember how hype this comeback was and go and re-listen itle have the Yeezus effect where it gets its own niche fan base of diehards
I think that Kanye wanted Vultures to be a non explicit album but TY Dolla $ign convinced him to do otherwise. There’s a lot of people saying that Ye changed his mind after the production of the 2nd album and decided to completely overhaul the album so it ain’t a explicit album and he apparently wanted to change the whole vibe of the 2nd album. Idk if It’s actually true tho
Right?! Its crazy to see how people hate on it just cause its not the "old Kanye." Its one of my favorite Kanye's projects as crazy as it might sounds.
@@Jiiggy-dn8fd TOTALLY agree. I almost fell into it myself but stepped aside and listened to it again, and I honestly still enjoy it. Obviously points on it that are stronger than others but to call the album as a whole just straight up bad just doesn’t make sense

I think Vultures is a good album, but i do understand how it might not be for everyone. Ye should just step back and at most get cooking on the production like The Neptunes. And if he's 100% ready with barely any issues, then he can return to making his own content. Mental health is most important.
