Beautiful chair. Amazing job. Love the table as well. Great video. Thanks.
Sandy Cooper, thanks for the compliment!
I'll love to see the table and chairs together! Great job!
Absolutely incredible video with all the instructions! You got yourself another subscriber. Great work!
this us an absolutely beautiful chair, i would love to make this. you did great in the demo as well as the diagrams, makes it so much easier to follow
Hello from Israel, great video, Amazing job, im new in to DIY and this help A LOT thanks :)
I do enjoy your videos (tables, chair, bench...), because you've found a good approach of mixing 'rustic' and 'modern' styles. Thanks for sharing :)
Epoxy ftw :D
Travis - I downloaded your plans and your plans are very impressive. You put a lot of effort to detail these as you did. Great job.
Thank you very much!
Love the look . great job. I'm looking to make my own along with a kitchen table.
Awesome work! Enviable result!
Great use of inexpensive wood. It turned out excellent.
Yep, I have to build a giant cross cut sled now. I built one a while back with 24" to the left of the blade and it never seems to be enough to use stop blocks on longer pieces. Awesome job on the video and chair too too, I look forward to more!
Thank you for your interest in my channel. I'm going to detail some of my table saw sleds and jigs in the future.
Great job! I just finished a similar design today but I used mortise and tenon joints, black walnut and tung oil with a pine seat and polyurethane. So mine is two tone too!
Thanks a lot this helped me out with my engineering project at school!
Hals Wood Shop. Good Tutorial. Good jigs. there are many ways to do joints if you like this project. I like both the dowels and screw pockets. Check out some others for the dimensions or some books on chairs. Or his plans are $6.. the end result was a nice chair. all depends on where you would use your chair.
What an awesome job ! Love it !
Thank you very much!
I really like the design of this chair
love the video. Wish I could just buy those chairs from you! Love em!
Great Project !!
very very very good!!!
Nice job, thanks for the video
Love it!
that is awesome work buddy.
clean work!
Excellent
Really nice good job
Thanks for subscribing +Donald Ross!
Awesome. Just found your channel. I immediately subscribed.
Good job
Congratulations, joy and a treat to watch ?

The background music sounds like "It's not right but it's OK" by Whitney Houston.
I loved your work....
The shiny seat is tilted downward toward the back. Good idea so that you won't slip off.
You've found your calling Travis! I found myself mesmerized.
Thank you Avis. My goal is to make videos that aren't boring. the table video is almost complete. subscribe so that you'll get a notification when it goes live. Thanks again
ok ,thank you
Nice chairs. You should do this same chair with minimal average person tools. I want to build a chair to go with the table I just built. But I only have your basic tools.
Question : are pocket holes that solid for a chair? i mean is putting that much of weight on a tenonless chair safe??? i've never tried and i'm curious.
Dude. You are insane. Where'd you get the drive? The passion? I am full of envy...
gottabighit1 thanks!
you are a true artisan like our lord jesus Christ but with modern tools.awesome!!!!!!
Excelente las medidas porf
About how much does it cost per chair to make with paint n such just wood
The wife wants these
Looking forward to the build.
You have plans for your tablesaw jigs?
How difficult would have it been if you used only the bandsaw for the back legs? I imagine if you have the measurements traced onto the 2x6, you could have easily gotten it done. Maybe have 2 chair legs on one template to save wood?
Do you have any videos or instructions on how to make the jigs?
please give me the type of tool you used:) thanks
Where can I see how to make that angle sled
Хоть я и не поннмаю языка но довольно всё понятно показано очень красиво!
Chair looks great! Where can I get the plans?
I need a diy sewing chair video. They sell for $300. I can't find any info to build one.
Where can I get the plans for this chair?
I found some amazing plans for Woodglut. Just check them out.
Is the chair well balanced and is it feel comfortable to sit in?
It's well balanced and doesn't tip over. I've got an 8, 6, 4, and 2 year old. The 8&6 yr old sit in the chair without a booster. The 4 year old uses a booster, and the 2 year old uses a baby chair booster with tray.
My wife love the chairs and says they are very comfortable.
That cut number 3 on the leg is scary.
Great job on the chair. I have to ask, what adapter are you using to attach your shop vac to your sander and your pocket hole jig? I can't seem to find an adapter that will accomplish that. Thanks!
Russ S. I actually shot the video today for my custom vacuum system. I'll release it next week and it'll have all the information in that video.
Russ, The dust collection video was released this week. Check it out for information on the design.
You did great job and then you used pocket holes
lol I thought the same thing the pocket whole might end up cracking the wood
engineered woodworking i really like this project of yours can you give me the plan to build one like that please?
+waise noori, please click on my channel and subscribe. Once you've done that, go to click on the "About" tab, and email me that request and I'll respond with the drawings. Thanks for your interest!
+Engineered Woodworking hi I have subscribed already and I'm going on the about tab I don't see how to email you
+Engineered Woodworking great thank you so much
Great video, is this with just off the shelf lumber? How are the chairs holding up over time?
The wood used is Prime kiln dried lumber. After 8 months, the chairs are still very solid without warping. The key is to start with straight, kiln dried lumber. I've found that 2x6's from Canada are pretty good for this type of project.
Ok great, thanks for the response!
Nice job, very good project, do you know aprox, cost? Saludos
Each chair used two 2'x6'x8'. Stain, poly, and paint cost about $60. Wood cost about $42. I spent about 10 hours per chair. I also used the stain and paint on the matching table and still have some left over for more projects.
Great thanks.... Very clear your info.... Again very nice project... Now is in my list to do..... Saludos amigo
Engineered Woodworking and DIY were you able to cut all the back legs from the 2x6?
Why do you not offer dimensional drawings? The stretchers on the chairs are really hard to replicate without it. Will you post drawings or sketchup models for us?
Engineered Woodworking, I sent you a note. Thanks for sharing your awesome talents with all us.
If you enjoy woodworking plans, you will love woodprix. Get inspired by all the endless possibilities of furniture plans and other wood projects to build, for both indoors and outdoors.
that was awesome...which software you used for designing...
I use AutoCAD for my designs. I also use Sketchup for the renderings that I use for the videos.
where could i get the cut list and all that ?
email address?
Wonder how long this took? I would like to offer these with my tables but it seems like a lot of work to be offering MAYBE $75 per chair
Clay Doughty Sometimes some of your product is just going to be more expensive. If people want that style of chair then they’ll just have to pay for it.
Great Job! The link to the farmhouse table and subscribe button in the video is not working though
Thank you Troy! RUclips embedded links only work on desktop web browser's. Mobile apps don't support embedded links which is a big gripe of RUclipsrs.

Help please...I just bought the plans for the chair, and my paypal account has the wrong email address.
Kallen Hunstiger please email me at travis@engineeredwoodworking.com and I'll send a new email.
Email sent.
The guy sounded like a salesman in the beginning good video tho
Are the farm chair plans in a PDF form?
If you go to www.engineeredwoodworking.com, you can buy the plans and I will email them to you in a PDF format.
How long do you think it takes to build this chair?
Beulah's House it took probably 5-6 hours per chair.
Thank you!
Hi,what color is that?
The colors are listed in the description. Watch the video at times 8:30 and 9:10 where I describe the application of the stain and paint. Thanks for watching!
I emailed you
Here’s similar style if anyone is interested:
m.ruclips.net/video/_wNeYQ4fn1o/видео.html
This time I'll use woodprix instructions to make it by my hand :)
I love the style of the video with you doing it with a cut diagram overlay. However, the overlay is a little large. The intro was very gay and the music is a little loud. But I hope you keep making videos.
just in case you want to sell that chair, how much do you think it's worth?
Probably $80. What do you think?
That chair looks amazing.😊 And it looks like it's worth a good 100$.
Thanks Elijah! Maybe I should build them for sale!
You really should consider it😊
I checked a lot of handbooks with woodworking plans. Instructions from woodprix are the best I think.
What is the x brace? Where does it go?
Please email me at Travis@engineeredwoodworking.com so that I can send you a picture. It's worth a thousand words. :)
Thank you!
I have just emailed you.
amazing voodvork,i also made a lot of rustic furnitures for my private use,but you have more of nice tools that i have, mostly i vork with metall, making construcktions,i have also made a bus to rv,helping my friend, that bus of yours, seems to be in good condition, and you have the skills to make it beutifut inside, with a nice paintjob, ewen outside can look great,i am only sorry that i cant vait to see the finish produckt 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 😇😇😇😇😇😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
I emailed you
What are the dimensions of the chair?
The height of the chair is 38", and the seat is 18" square. I have the plans for sale on my website www.engineeredwoodworking.com
One more question, can pocket hole joinery substitute for biscuits?
Beulah's House you can use pocket holes on the back slats if you fill the holes. Kreg sells pocket hole fillers.
Thanks. By the way I bought the plans from you.
Thank you. You can also email me any questions that you have.
Really nice project. But, it's not for the faint of heart or the newbie unfortunately.
Eddy, You're absolutely correct. Thanks for watching.
Not quite diy unless you have a decent workshop. One day..
though a table saw or a jig saw would complete my "workshop "
just pickup a cheap one i'm 16 picked one up at Kent building Supplies for 140 its a King table saw with a 10" blade works good and i'm able to joint with it.
love the tutorial but the chair just looked awkward to me, so i looked at pictures of factory made farm style chairs and noticed that your seat planks are WAAAYYY thicker than normal. it makes it look chunky and out of place
"Music" is just noise here
I know Woodglut has the best woodworking plans.
Wal Mart quality furniture. Pocket screws are the lowest skill and lowest quality joint you can make. Proper joinery and panel glue up are skills worth learning.
And yet, 4 years later after 4 kids use them as jungle gyms, they are still solid. It was clear that these chairs are not heirloom quality. BTW, in only criticized by people who do less than me.
Hi, Thats a good video here. The most useful woodworking projects that I have ever used was Toms Magic Wood (just google it). Without a doubt it contains the most incredible woodworking plans that I have ever tried.
Lost me at the back leg.
LOL
oh nice you have to buy thousands of dollars worth of tools to make this.
LOL. I don't have thousands of dollars worth of tools, and I get to keep the tools after the project is done.
Far from thousands. And you can do it with affordable hand tools, just takes practice!
I've found great handbook on woodprix website. Good solutions for everyone I think.
ellentI made it by myself thanks to woodprix plans. I think it's the best way to learn how to build.
You can use woodprix instructions to build it in the cheapest way.
It's kind of confusing to see a gay guy do something only masculine men do. But he does a fine job. I wish I had the tools he has. Nice eye on accuracy too.
"A gay guy do something only masculine men do".... Are you serious? That's only in your mind.
This comment is so ignorant my head might explode.
